"Hope College is a great place to receive an education! The classes are academically rigorous, but you will leaving feeling prepared for the next stage in life whether that be graduate/professional school or the working world. Because of the smaller class sizes, professors are able and willing to work side by side with you to ensure your academic success."

"My time at Hope College was exactly what I was looking for. The liberal arts nature of the institution insured that I had exposure to a variety of academic disciplines, as well as a variety of experiences outside the classroom as well. In both the academic and social sense the experiences that I had there were inclusive, real, and fun. Hope College was, and is, a community focused environment. As a result, I do not hesitate to say that I learned from classmates and professors alike as they brought enthusiasm and insight into all that they did. During my time at Hope, I matured, I grew, and I developed a passion for learning and people--ultimately yielding the confidence to attend a graduate program and know that I would have continued life-long success after I left."

"While Hope College has a good academic reputation, I feel that they stress too much about the importance of a liberal arts education rather than what is actually valuable in the job market. While I did choose my own majors and am now finally on the right career path toward graduate school, I have struggled financially since graduating."

"Hope College is not only a school where you attend to earn an education, it is also a school that strongly encourages students to be successful in all areas of their life. Hope provides many resources for students to become involved on campus as well as connect with alumni to further those connections outside of Hope. When a student graduates from Hope, they leave with a feeling of success and are equipped to be leaders in whichever field of work they choose. My overall experience at Hope was amazing and I would highly encourage students to attend."

"Hope College is like a big dog in a small dog's body. It was a great experience, a home-away-from-home, a place where I met some of the best friends of my life, and ultimately, grew into a person who can think critically, work on a team, and be a positive, Christian example and contributor in our global society. I would very highly recommend Hope College!"

"While my education was valuable when it came to shaping my worldview, upon graduation I found that I could not get a job with just a BA in Psychology. So, I decided to take the quickest route I thought possible and continue on to go for my Master of Social Work, thinking I could counsel people. This was a mistake, and a costly mistake, both in time and money. I wish that I had spent more time weighing my options and deciding what would be the best path for me. I now have finally taken an extra year of undergraduate school to get all of the prerequisites required to go to graduate school for either speech-language pathology or audiology. Because I am not 100% sure on which one out of the two I prefer, I am taking a break from school currently and will work full time. My main piece of advice is that if you get a bachelor's in psychology, be prepared to make decisions about what kind of graduate schooling you want, and consider options that you may not have thought you wanted before. Now, I just know that I want a good job where I can have a private practice and contribute something positive to the world while doing it. However, I no longer feel like I have the ability to single-handedly save the world or even offer sage advice as a counselor, which is why I am going the more scientific route for graduate school."
