I really do love this school. I just started here in the month of August of this year in 2014. I would recommend this school to anybody because this school is excellent and all the instructors work so well with you. I am working on my Associates Degree in the Medical Specialties program and so far and i am loving every bit of it. I have recommended this school to two other people and they just started last Monday and they are loving it already as much as I am. If you are looking to go back to school... Read More

I am a single mom - without this school I wouldn't be where I am today! I talked to a lot of schools before I made the decision to go here; I'm glad I found Independence University. I will graduate next year in January. I worked full time since I was 16, I am now 48 years old ... I found that even though I had over 25 yrs experience in management that I wasn't making the kind of income I deserved because I didn't have a degree. I would apply for positions to move up in my company, I had the experience... Read More

I have tried to begin to writing reviews when I'm happy with a service instead of only doing it when I'm unhappy since so many people only go to the internet when they're upset. Anyway, I want to say that I'm a current student at Independence University & I'm very happy!!!! I can't tell you how helpful they have been throughout my entire time attending! I attended another online college before this and they only cared about me when I was enrolling. After that, they left me to fend for myself. Not... Read More

This school is a waste of time and energy, If you call the University with questions you get the run around with multiple people under the same extension. The laptop took forever to get delivered, mysteriously nobody knew the tracking number. Now I'm still having issues getting contact through the college. Do not apply here, they are a waste of time.

What a pathetic yet expensive place to waste my time. The classes were very easy during the mods up until time to graduate. During the capstone process there is little to know instructions that clearly define what requirements they are looking for and try to get help from an instructor is like finding politicians that actually care about others. I would rather have had a root canal than deal with this institution's leadership. I walked away from this experience thinking that as a customer at any... Read More

The online classes made it easier for me to work while going to school. I didn't have to work my schedule around school, I could just do my assignments when I wasn't working.

Degree: Computer Science

I have actually just started on my degree at Independence University and I like it so far. They sent me a laptop to help me with my studies. You can reach your teachers by phone or e-mail. The classes for the computer science degree are great. Independence university offers very good course for my degree that I am excited about.

This "University" is a joke just another way for them to get your GI Bill or Pell Grant Money. I was in the program for two years, went through many advisors who were a joke, and so unorganized. They did not help me at all, they actually created more problems! The college is so disorganized, all of the syllabus' are old and do not pertain to the class or material you need. You have no idea what to study for on your exams. You basically will not have a life for the whole time you are enrolled. Be... Read More

Degree: Healthcare Administration

I earned my Bachelor's from California College for Health Sciences and matriculated right into the Health Admin Master's Program back in 2001 - then Independence University bought out CCHS and took over, changed a lot of policies. CCHS was wonderful, I had excellent mentoring and support, even flew from New England to National City California and met my advisors. They were great, but when Independence University took over they definitely lost their personal touch and the tuition quadrupled, literally.... Read More

I completed the certificate program for Respiratory Therapy in 1991 through CCHS, now called IU. The monthly payments were very affordable, and I got my clinical hours completed at the hospital I was working at as a student (Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas). I got paid while I was completing my clinical hours, and continued to work as an RCP I, then RCP II at the same hospital. I was able to get phone support when I was studying for my finals. I spent a lot of time on the phone... Read More
