"I recently enrolled in this college to improve my computer aided drafting skills. It is becoming clear that this is not as good of a school as I had previously thought. The school has some good instructors, however they recruit and accept any student that will knock on their door, and is a contributing factor for the low morale and poor student attendance. The recruiters prey on students that are economically disadvantaged, they are not looking at the person as a whole their concern to build more revenue for ITT tech. Classes are scheduled to begin at 530 and over by 1030 in the evening, I have not been in a class that has gone beyond 930 PM. Do more research and find a school that is smaller in scale."

"Excellent instructors and course material. ITT prepared me well for a career in the IT space and opened many doors for me. In addition, ITT is flexible with work schedules so that someone taking care of a family can still get a great education. I have had nothing but positive experiences with ITT."

"Don't believe any of the posts where people made a ton of money and got great jobs because it's just employees getting paid to post. I got a degree in visual communications was the best of my class had my work on display numerous times etc etc. Got my degree and applied for over a year in my field. I applied at least thtee times a day every day trying to find something. Did I? No. Would I? No. The degree is a joke no one will hire you for it. I work part time at a store as a sales rep while running my own business. Honestly should of done it to begin with because I would of saved over 50k for a woruthless piece of paper. They also lied to me about my loans so I was charged more, they sank my parents into 30k debt which they had to re-mortgage the house to pay it off. They were only supposed to be co-signers but I ended up not even being on the loan only them. You will save so much money and actually get a degree that means something if you attend a community college and go to a local university. Don't do ITT its a scam that will ruin your lifeeding and credit forever."

"Do Not go to ITT. Horrible school. Take your money and the professors do not care about the students success. They lured me in with student loans from a private bank and never disclosed any of the interest or payback payments. This school is like all the other for profit schools, money for them nothing for the student"

"I am going into my second year for my Associates Degree and I must say this school is not as cracked up as it says to be. 3 different deans within the past year and a half. Teachers who hardly teach you the information in your curriculum and you are much better off teaching yourself from the online material. A career services department that is very slow when responding back to you. Also a internet server that is slow as molasses, sometimes it takes 20-30 mins just to get into the student portal. ...I can't wait to graduate and get out of this school. Stay Away and look at other opportunities out there."

"Ok here is the Pros and Cons of getting and education from I.T.T Technical institute. You are put on a fast track towards your education. I started off in the Associates Program for (NSA) Network Systems Administration and I had some really good instructors who taught us the core of what is needed in the OSI Model and how to trouble shoot layer by layer. We learned the Cisco routing techniques and how to implement the code for routing and setup virtual routers , trouble shoot etc. We learned SQL programming in the associates program as well as basic software programming and development with scripting in C++ and Pearl. Now that I am in the program for Cyber Security for Bachelors I am learning much more doing security exploits thought Virtual labs and the instructor that we have in Houston has his own separate site that we use to strengthen our skill sets. I have been out of school for 17 years when I went back. Right before I graduated student career services found me a job doing help desk at a company near by my home. I worked there 9 months and I was laid off. That is the nature of I.T. Business period. CONS: What they don't tell you about I.T. is you may work on a project 3 to 6 months for the 1st four or five years in this business or even get a 2 year contract tops before you find a permanent position somewhere. Another thing is most I.T. Employers do not want you to have a criminal background so I.T. Tech does not tell you that when asking you what educational program fits your needs best as part of the assessment. In the I.T. field if you have a misdemeanor or felony you are not going to find work unless you start your own company. It can be really difficult. My Advice is to tell people I.T.T Tech is what you make of it, If you are attending the school and you are the first one to break out and go home at 8:00 p.m when the class starts at 6:00 p.m. you are going to miss a whole lot of good things depending on the instructor. If you want to hit it big in the I.T. Field become a developer and you will get a job no matter what. Most people that develop software start on free sites like codeacademy.com and codeavengers.com with no formal training just dedication. If you add that to your I.T.T degree plan you will make around $70k or more a year. Another thing get your classmates phone numbers, this is still a who you know world where having contacts can lead you to a career. For instance two guys in my class are helping me get on at their job as help desk person making 45k a year and I have been out of work for 5 months. One more thing you may have to move in the I.T. Field if a position is tailored to your skill set. The I.T. Field has so many factors to it and variables. The instructors who do I.T. sometimes move across the U.S. to get good positions and teach at night on top of that. You can go to Harvard and go through the motions and still not come out knowing a damn thing to be honest. Education is what you put into it. My last advice is to tell all of you to start out as help desk because that is the 1st real I.T. Position that you will get. If you have clean background then you can volunteer with the F.B.I or C.I.A. and ask them about their mentor program and they will give you a reference that will take you anywhere. Keep in mind you may have to move if you find a good position. If you can't find an I.T. job and you have a Bachelors take a job as a Manager making $50k or somewhere close. A Bachelors is a Bachelors."

"Read this carefully everyone! I am a graduate from ITT Tech. I've obtained an associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Right before I graduated, I've gotten several job offers, ranging from $60k-$80k. Companies even paid for my flight tickets, per-diem, and lodging. I'm currently working with a company as an industrial Electrical Technician. I've only been here for 11 months and I've made $120k for the year. While attending ITT TECH, I've came across blogs just like this, where individuals would get on and slander the school. Not once did I let these comments about the school get to me. I stuck in there, did what I had to do, and earned my degree. I know several of my class mates from the same campus who are also successfully employed. Just remember this one thing, ANY DEGREE IS BETTER THAN NO DEGREE"

"Stay away from this school. For starters, they are publicly traded meaning they answer to their stock holders first and students last. Lets face it, if you are considering ITT you probably didn't do so great up till now education wise. The ITT propoganda machine is strong and ever present, I still see ad's for them everywhere even though they are actively being probed by the DOJ right now and their executives bailed on them the minute that became the case. The loan practices are horrible, your loan advisor at ITT might as well just cut a part of your soul out and feed it directly to Navient / Sallie Mae. The teachers vary, some are charismatic, some not so much. For me the Software Applications and Programming degree was useless, as it pretty much is for most of these types of schools. The material they teach is usually so far out dated that by the time you graduate most employers have no need for your skill set and you'll have to go through lengthy training on your own to get ramped up to modern practices and software. The typical class session went like this: "welcome to class, here's your book, copy this code from chapters x, y and z into the compiler, hit F5 and see what it does." Programming is as much theoretical as it is practical implementation and ITT falls VERY short on teaching computer science theory. Do your future self a favor, if you are looking to become a software engineer go out and cert up, ITT will do you no favors. My class started with 50+ students and graduated with just 3. In many ways I wish I were one of the ones that dropped out early and pursued software certificates in stead. All of the above information can be your's for the low low cost of around $34k, translated of course to several years of repaying the worthless degree will set the average student back anywhere between $70-100k after interest. If you are anything like I was at the time of attending this horrific school you don't necessarily pay much attention to the cost, your head is filled with ideas like "better job", "more money", the reality is a very small % of people actually graduate from the SAP program and an even smaller % are employable after the fact. It's also worth noting, at the time I graduated from ITT there was supposed to be a bachelor degree program to follow up to the Associates program, when I attempted to enlist in the BA program because I realized I didn't really learn squat from the associates program I was told it is no longer available due to lack of interest, well gee whiz I wonder why :/ Because no real school on the planet considers ITT reputable, my higher education path stopped dead in it's tracks at that moment, meaning none of my credits would transfer towards a BA at another institution."

"Please do not go to this college. It is a horror school. They are all about money here. The teachers seem fraud. They charge you for everything. Do not believe in the commercial bull crap. I'm currently enrolled here and I will be switching as soon as possible. This is the worst school on the planet. You will not be satisfied. Their school system is always messing up. "The school is a profit machine, pure and simple. Driven by greed and deception that comes from the top down. The CEO, he resigned after indictment, of ITT Tech faces fraud and racketeering charging along with other top officers. This school will bury you and leave you in debt for a lifetime. Do yourself a favor and start at your local Junior or Community College."

"Instructors are sub-par, lab equipment is garbage and the place is a diploma mill. You can learn more on your own through self study. You can gain employment in the I.T. field by earning a few industry certs on your own and save a ton of money. The C.E.O. and top executives of I.T.T. Tech are under Federal indictment and face criminal charges by the Government for fraud and racketeering. Four years separated from the rat-hole I am still trying to recover financially. As part of ITT Tech's ongoing fraud between 2009 and 2012 the school took out private student loans on behalf of (and without knowledge) students and lined their pockets. Today I have a great job in the IT field, no thanks to ITT tech. My credit was destroyed by them and these private student loans. I have recovered, for the most part. I have a credit scores in the high 600's and low 700's and make $78k a year but can't but a house because of the derogs from these P.S. Loans. I have been on my job for over four years. I work for a Fortune 100 company, it's an opportunity that I found on my own. ITT's job placement services are worthless."

"I went to ITT and got my Associates and my Bachelors, the tuition is high but worth it. I am a Cheif Technology Officer of a WEB base company and I also design VOIP and computer networks for another company. One thing that I learned through out life if you want to succeed you have to put in work. A lot of my classmates said they didn't learn anything at ITT, but they didn't study either. I studied and built my on small network at home and practiced on it all the time. Teachers are not going to grab you by the hand and show you everything, you got to want to learn and strive to be the best at what ever you do. My teachers saw I was thirsty for knowledge, and they all worked with me and they all help me get my career off the ground. I now also serve on the Program advisory committee board at ITT. ITT education is basic, it is up to the individual to advance their knowledge."

"I had wanted to get my bachelor's degree, yeah, wished I had done more research before attending ITT. I had an associates, so only 2 years to complete the bachelor's. I am now graduated, with no job prospects, no help from career services, and $70000.00 dollars in debt. Yes, $70000.00 for 2 years.......and the interest will only grow. I had one employer tell me the degree was worth no more than toilet paper, it was not recognized. I did graduate with a 3.75, and I thought since I was an older student, it would be easy to find a job, I was wrong. I could have attended an Ivy league school for a doctorate and still would have been cheaper. THANKS for nothing!!!!"

"For those of you considering attending ITT Technical Institute, please read this review before you do. I attended ITT Tech from 2006 - 2008 studying Computer Drafting and Design. For starters, the amount of useful information you will receive is of no real use in the real world. Some of this information is common sense and is not necessary for a career in CDD. You will learn more on your own than you will in class. For example, one of the courses you will take is College Physics. I learned 20 times as much AFTER graduation just from studying on my own. DO NOT be lured in by the casual way they make student loans sound. They will tell you "You can pay all the interest while you're in school and that will help tremendously." The price for a two year education at ITT is $40,000+. While this doesn't seem like a lot, you could go to a junior college for less than 10% of that. I started working at a job and my supervisor at the time had gone to a junior college who earned the SAME degree for just over $2,500 dollars!!! PLEASE consider cheaper alternatives to ITT....and PLEASE DO NOT believe the stories you hear on TV! If you do not plan on starting a business after ITT, it will leave you in a pit of debt! It's a sad testament when people ask me what's the biggest thing I regret in my life and I tell them....going to school at ITT Tech!"

"After completing a few courses with ITT, I decided to transfer to the local college to get some actually classroom time. I found out quickly, that the local community college and even the other colleges and universities near by would not accept one credit from ITT. SO long story short, i would not even waste your time with this place. If local colleges wont accept it, then what about when time comes to find a job. How will employers look at ITT on the resume.."

"Being all honest and upfront. I would not recommend going to ITT for school. The price you pay for your degree is ridiculous, you WILL be owing A LOT of money. Do research on COST not just commercial BS. Don't be fooled by commercials. I got my Associates from ITT, but then went on to UMUC to get my Bachelors degree, I am earning 23K more a year just by getting my Bachelors and getting a new job. Look into online schools and you will pay much less for them than for ITT and have a much wider range of job opportunities. You are limited to job opportunities when graduate from a Technical school compared to a non-technical."

"I was an older student when I went and graduated, I was even older than the most professors! I stuck to it , studied hard, I was hired while enrolled in school at Ft. Sam Houston JBSA and 4 years later, I am now employed with one of the top 3 letter agency in the world ! Making top money and working on one of the most critical missions in the world ! Worked forty hours a week plus went to school at night ! It was worth it ! Thanks to all the professors that helped me after hours !"

"This is my story with ITT. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA, but was given any help finding a job. I've visited the campus career center several time without any result, or leads. I ended up call several other campus career center to get help. I was promised before enrolling into the Construction Management program placed within my degree area, upon graduation, but none of it was true. The two major courses within my degree program, I wanted to learn the most, project scheduling and estimating, won't even touch. We couldn't use any computer programs in Project Scheduling because they couldn't get them to work. In estimating, we did no estimates, the class only had five open book quizzes and a take home final. I left ITT Technical Institution owing 25,000.00 in student loans and job referrals or help of any kind, within my degree area. I'm still paying on my loans and no easy way out of this situation. I'm now back working at the same job I was before enrolling at ITT. I hope this help someone, because ITT surely didn't help me."

"This school will saddle you up with a lifetime of high interest student loan debt if you don't come from a rich family. The education is terrible and you will leave this school having learned almost nothing. What you will learn is that you just spent 2 years getting completely scammed and will now have to pay for it for the rest of your life. Please do research before going to any ITT Tech campus. Just do a simple Google search and you will find thousands upon thousands of negative things written about the school. Ask yourself, is that the kind of reputation you want in a college?"
