"The graduate program itself is fairly challenging and rewarding. I'm not a huge fan of the big city, and not all of the amenities for a typical graduate university are always met, but JHU is a pretty good school overall."

"This rating is for Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. With over 1700 graduates students across four campuses, the business school at Johns Hopkins has grown tremendously in a very short period of time. The MBA programs (Global MBA, flexible MBA, and joint MBA) are very diverse in their teaching and the student population. The business school at JHU will undoubtedly continue to attract top talent (student and faculty) and I am excited to be a part of such a remarkable institution."

"Pros: Very Good course structure. The content is really good and unique. The Brand Name Johns Hopkins is an added advantage especially for a new school. Cons: Career Services activities are not up to the mark for a school which is yet to make a mark. The team may be helpful, but it lacks the professional touch and networking ability to connect to different companies."

"My graduate program is really expensive in terms of tuition fees. The university does not provide many funding opportunities for international students."

"I am a student in the Cognitive Science Department. There is a large amount of interdisciplinary work and a real attitude of community within the department. It allows you to gain many different tools for approaching research questions. However, it is a class heavy program, some of which are quite difficult. You have to be ready for many expectations and your work to be held to a high standard."

"Hopkins is a bit of a machine; if you are not confident in yourself and what you want to accomplish, it can be quite intimidating. If you are, it can provide you with unparalleled opportunities and access to resources--e.g., truly world-renowned faculty as advisers. I have had truly incredible exposure here to all different types of medicine and been challenged more than I could have ever imagined. These experiences will surely leave me a better doctor. However, it is important to be aware of your goals within medicine and to be honest with yourself about your reasons for coming here, as those who come due to prestige may find that they did not make the right decision for themselves. Hopkins is a unique experience and every time I speak with peers at other medical schools I am made more aware of that."

"This review is for Carey Business School. The school is growing at a rapid pace and sometimes feels like a "startup" company racing to meet demand but they are doing a tremendous job. The faculty and my fellow students are both amazing, and I feel very supported by my peers and educators. I strongly believe that the education I'm getting at Hopkins will greatly prepare me for the real world, as well as for a spot in the board room when the time is right. You should consider attending because its a new school, not in spite of it. There is so much opportunity and room for growth in the school right now, and I highly recommend it."

"The graduate program at Hopkins is particularly unique in being interdisciplinary in nature, which is a crucial aspect for good quality research. The Graduate Student Organization is also one of the things that makes graduate school at Hopkins more than fun."

"This rating is for the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. The full-time program is located in Harbor East downtown Baltimore, with various locations (including Washington, DC) for part-time programs. Carey has an amazing background, with goals of building business leaders that keep "humanity in mind". Capstone projects at Carey offer experience and insight like no other MBA program, including the ability to really use your training in a real-life setting. Check out Carey's website at carey.jhu.edu!"

"Housing was low only because no on-campus option, but surrounding area has affordable living especially for a city. This review was for the program in Molecular Biophysics. Career support is improving and athletics are really unimportant for a graduate program and should not be in this study, but we do have a good lacrosse team otherwise."

"As with any graduate program, the quality of your education, experience, and amount of support in finding positions after graduation depend heavily on your own advisor, rather than the program in general."

"Excellent school, a decent area, even though Baltimore is a little rough in places, the campus safety patrols help a lot. Good research is done here, and there are plenty of chances to get involved with it, especially for science majors."

"Research environment is excellent! Baltimore City might be notorious for its crime rates but Hopkins' quality of research takes it all. I love the passion of people here for intellectual and academic excellence."

"Aside from the fact that Hopkins is in Baltimore, Cultural and Beautiful Housing capital of the United States, I have no complaints. My adviser's door is ALWAYS opened and he is SO passionate about my research interests and my success, the department hosts rum tastings, classes are as hard as I knew that they would be, my cohort is always going out together to explore the city, our department heads are full of advice and support about life post-PhD, our weekly seminars attract the best of the best, etc. I never expected to love graduate school this month, and I know without a doubt that I made the right choice in schools!"
