Keiser University Reviews of Bachelor's in Criminal Justice

Not sure where some of these reviewers get their information. I'm currently attending and can tell you that my classes are not only taught by PhD level accredited professors they are very relevant. The classes use some of the same equipment that FLET-C uses to train federal agents (I'm a former instructor) and we have attended real capital cases in court. If I had to criticize something, it would be math, the classes are very challenging and a lot of people cannot handle the pace. The classes move very fast and are not easy. I'm assuming that the people who are mad or are spreading untrue "facts" could not hack it. I understand, it's not easy. Keiser may have been different in the past. Now, most classes are taught by PhD's (all of mine but 2) I can tell you it's harder than Arizona State, University of Maryland, Montgomery and USF. I have certificates from all of them. I retired from the military and had to shorten my program at each of those colleges because of deployments. Keiser is no joke, you have to dress to comply with the dress code and work your butt off.

DO NOT GO TO KEISER UNIVERSITY!!!! They only care about you before they take your money, they are complete money grabbers. It costs an absolute fortune to attend the university, you’d expect the quality of teaching, the dorms, the food etc to be exceptional, but it’s everything but that. They give out FINES just to profit off you. For example, if you lock yourself out of your room, a simple mistake that anyone can make, they will charge you $10. If you step foot into a friends dorm, it’s an instant... Read More $25, and doubles with every occasion. If you drink alcohol in your own dorm, even if you are of legal age, you get a $125 fine. If you move furniture in your dorm, $50 fine. The list goes on. Not to mention, it is compulsory to buy a food package, but the food they serve at the flagship campus (west palm beach) is AWFUL. If you’re happy eating half cooked pasta and vegetables with watery sauce everyday with, this is the perfect campus for you. Not to mention, there has been several occasions I have found dead flies in my food. To add, the first day I arrived, I noticed that the dorm was completely infested with ants, even on my hard mattress that I had to sleep on, waking up with multiple bites all over my body. They advertise on their website that each dorm within stauffer have 2 individual study rooms, but again, upon arrival I noticed they had transformed them into private bedrooms, leaving us with no place to study within the ‘comfort’ of our own dorm. When asking for the desks to be placed into the living room, they told us that they can no longer provide us with these facilities. This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. We are paying for facilities that they refusing provide. The fact that the university will not even provide their students with a source of light or anything to cover the windows, really shows how cheap they are. In the dorms, they literally provide you with the bare minimum, you get a sofa and a small table in the front room, that is it. KEISER UNIVERSITY FLAGSHIP CAMPUS (west palm beach) completely drains you until you’ve got nothing left to give. I could not tell you one day I have felt stress free. I wish I never came to this university, not only have I spent my life savings coming here, but it has also wasted valuable time. If you choose to ignore the reviews and give keiser a chance, you will soon realise everything I am saying is completely true. Save your time and happiness, and find a university that care about you and your education

Whoever is considering to go to school and get an education, Congratulations! That is a big step towards your career, future. Keiser University was truly a wonderful experience for me. I highly recommend anyone to go to this University. Reviews are good to look into but you have to see, try, and take that leap of faith on your own. I really wish I had not came to the school. All I do is pay money and pay more money and pay even more money for things that I don't even know about. It seems like all this school is interested in is taking money. Did you know that the school get sued just about every year because of how much money they take from students? Anyways moving on from the money issue, the financial aid people are not ready. When I'm on campus no one says anything to me about financial aid or anything but as soon as I leave... Read More campus they should do with all these emails expect me to do all these things that they could've asked me to do when I was there. They are unprofessional, not ready, and I really don't think the school as a whole is ready for students.

My experience with Keiser was not the best when it came to the personnel in the front. I attended the Jacksonville, FL branch and things got so bad that I had to report three employees to the school president. I'm not sure if anything was done, but one of them for sure doesn't work there anymore. The business side of that branch is so unorganized and very unprofessional. The classes were small and intimate, also you really got to learn a lot about your professors, which allowed me to be comfortable. Overall, the school and coursework was easy to get through, but if you are looking for a QUALITY EDUCATION go to a traditional college.
