I find this school to be average, AT BEST. The courses are rigorous for the 8-week classes. But many times, the assignments are pointless and time consuming, almost like “busy work.” I dont think this degree adequately prepares me for the education field. As an online student, the worst part of the program is the lack of support. You do not receive an actual advisor. The advising office for the online programs is call-center style. Meaning, you talk to someone different each time. So, while you’ll... Read More

After significant long research and comparison, I decided to go to Liberty to do my master's degree in teaching. LU was great until I did a few classes and was close to my student teaching. They started to ask for lots of different tests that my state doesn’t require and additional courses that nobody mentioned before. Their requirements are more challenging and complicated. Also, they have various gates that are hard to understand, and nobody available to explain them to you since you can only contact... Read More

Absolutely the worst experience. They only want your money and don't care about you at all. I read these "reviews" of 5 stars and absolutely know they are fake. It is a shame you can't come to get an authentic review. This school hounded me for weeks, calling constantly. Their program seemed like one I would like, so after more research, I signed up. (Apparently I did not do enough research). I def was not prepared for the workload. There is no consolidation of work- you do entire 20 chapters of... Read More

I was looking for an online school to complete my school counseling degree and came upon LU. I submitted an online inquiry and an LU rep called me (the first of many daily phone calls). At no point in time during the inquire or admissions process was it explained to me that Christianity and biblical scripture would be used and needed for applying to coursework. While I have no issues with Christianity, I did not know that I would have to quote the bible and apply it to papers and projects. This school... Read More

Liberty University is truly the Chik-fil-a of education! From start to finish, help was always one call (and now one text) away. I will say the programs are rigorous but you learn so much from some really amazing people. The intensives are truly an invaluable experience. I highly recommend Liberty to anyone. The customer service is second to none!

Liberty University's online education program prepared me to take the next steps in my career. I was able to move into the principalship as a result and have enjoyed a rich and fulfilling experience thus far. I studied a host of practical topics including: curriculum and instruction, school law, school administration, supervision, and more. I highly recommend the program to any aspiring educational administrators who wish to take the next step in their career.

I enrolled and began a course with Liberty. I feel completely tricked by the University. I logged onto Blackboard on my first day and found that the course was completely different than it was described. I realized in about 5 seconds that I did not want to take this course and called to drop it. Apparently you cannot drop a course once you have seen the content....for 5 seconds. So they made me withdraw and pay a large percentage for the class that I barely looked at and did not get anything out... Read More

I found Liberty's graduate courses very challenging. I took my courses on-line, which required a tremendous amount of reading and dedication. It was particularly challenging as I worked a full time job and was a member of the Army National Guard while in school. The professors were very supportive and provided excellent feedback to my assignments and questions. I also gained quite a lot from other on-line students as they shared about their experiences in their teaching careers. The school is a decidedly... Read More

School is a joke. Classes are too easy and the professors are all interchangeable automatons. At the end of the day, it's my fault for not doing enough research before enrolling in this fake college. So in that sense, I suppose I got what I deserve. Please stay away from this place.

I have to say that for me this school was a great experience especially as a veteran. I found the program to be fairly rigorous. Online schooling is what you put into it. As a veteran, they are top notch. The tuition is literally cut in half for vets being about $250 per credit hour for graduate level courses. Those prices are cheaper than any for profit or non profit school that I know of. The main thing to remember with online schooling is that if you turn in your work on time, that's half the... Liberty University Online will say anything to get you into their program. Anything. I was enrolling to get a certification to teach, which they can do. The problem is that they cannot do it for all subject areas and will lie about their ability at application and enrollment time. I really would have expected this kind of bait and switch sort of behavior from a for-profit "university" and not from a "Christian" university. The classes themselves were fine. If they meet your needs, great. Just make... Read More

To those reading reviews by others stating Liberty is just like a "for profit" institution -- esp. veterans? Not in any way. Liberty Military Affairs office is first rate. They give undergraduate students book vouchers for free books up to $400 ea semester for veterans and spouses. They give you basically 50% off tuition -- yeah REALLY FOR PROFIT. Please....do not listen to them. They obviously had their own issues and are wanting to take it out on the university. I have finished my Bachelor's and... Read More
