I been going to this school for 3 years now and I been working hard. I did two programs MOA and MA. Now they want to charge me 19,000 for two programs when they suppose to only charge me for 3 extra classes since I was a MOA. Now they saying I never finished my MOA program but the financial aid advisor had messed up telling me I could finish those classes at no additional costs. It turned out this person was a temp and wasn't fit because other people had complained. Now I wasted my time and money on 13 classes but they charging me for like 20 classes. They dropped me several times. Ita ridiculous they be over charging. Plus there equipment was overly used and the arms we uses in phlebotomy was torn and worn out...they wasn't replacing them. Its not fair when you get promised a high education and a job afterwards when you don't really get that out of this.....I dislike it. Plus one teacher didn't know what she was teaching and was wondering why she was placed in the class. She didn't know the material or even tried to learn it. My money has gone to waste and the material I learned wasn't as thorough as I needed it to be. By this time I could have gotten my associates degree at a community college such as Bunker Hill which is cheap and affordable and is also hand on. This school is a rip off. I don't advise anyone to go here. Look into your options before you put yourself in debt. Then you have too much issues with Lincoln tech afterwards. It is terrible.

Degree: Medical Assistant
Graduation Year: 2009

I went in to ask a few questions and walked out signed up to start in 2 months. I was essentially promised a rewarding career and to be making money. After 6 years in retail management, it seemed too good to be true. It was. I had excellent grades and worked hard at school. I never found a job as a medical assistant, could not transfer my credits and the school promised to pay for my certification but never did. Now I owe 10 grand in student loans and I feel like I was cheated. I should have just gone to community college, at least then I could transfer. I am sorry I ever walked through those doors. I'm not going to say I didn't learn anything; I definitely did, but I didn't learn 10 thousand dollars worth.

I am writing this letter to address all the broken promises that the administration of Lincoln Tech gave me before I began my education there. They promised me a professional environment for me to learn and train as an HVAC technician. However, just a few days into my first class I felt like I was back in Middle School. Even though all the classroom rules and regulations were explained before class began none of them were enforced. Fellow students would routinely show up with their shirts untucked, wearing improper attire, they would play music and talk loudly during class, and generally be disruptive and childish throughout the day. Despite this, no real punishment would be levied upon them. The instructor either wouldn’t or couldn’t do anything about it. Wouldn’t because he/she just doesn’t care or couldn’t because the administration of Lincoln Tech bends over backwards to accommodate these disruptive students. It’s believed that the administration caters to them in order to keep them paying the tuition and thus make more money. If I tried to tell another student to be quiet, I would receive the middle finger, or a childish remark, or get whined and complained at. Everybody here is supposed to be adults but they act like children. I was promised that I would work with fully functioning equipment to learn how they are supposed to work and understand what systems I will be dealing with in the field. At best only half of the equipment was not broken, faulty, or just busted. At worst none of it was functioning as it should. In one class the equipment was patched up with cardboard and scotch tape. A few other students and I asked if we could repair the equipment but the instructor refused our request. With all the instructors Lincoln has on hand and with the amount of money we are paying for tuition it’s rather baffling how so much of the equipment is still in disrepair. Asking us to work like that is like asking a chef to practice cooking without a working stove. I was promised an on the job-type of experience, simulating actual employment. Instead I have to put up with lazy, uncaring, noisy, and immature classmates who by all rights, and by the actual policies and regulations set forth by the school, should have been kicked out before they finished half of the course. I was told that in the later months of my training only the students who really cared and were serious about their studies would be left. To my displeasure the lazy students are allowed make up any test or assignment that they missed even if they had no excuse for being late or missing school. They receive no real punishment for disorderly conduct. The administration seems to be only concerned with tuition money at the expense of their integrity as a school. I have asked to see someone from the administration about my complaints during a midcourse survey but have heard nothing from them. Every day that I have had to put up with unruly students has made me feel that my education has suffered as a result. I have to wait for the lazy students to catch up on class assignments that take me 30 minutes to complete but take them two hours because they sleep in class, or goof off. I can’t get back completed tests and quizzes right away because I have to wait for them to make it up. I believe that my training would have been smoother and faster if the administration of Lincoln Tech kept all the promises they made before we signed that first check. I chose Lincoln Tech because I thought that they have a good reputation and that I would have a better chance of entering a career in HVAC with the credentials that Lincoln offered. I understand if the economy makes it difficult for the school at this time, but I can’t understand why the atmosphere in the classes is so unruly even with some professors that are really quite good and care about teaching.

Ok. Be very vigilant when you come to Lincoln Tech. Ask all of the questions before you sign any paper. Now lets get to it. This school is a joke and is just stealing my money. I will be dropping out soon and go somewhere else. I expected better and more hands on labs, but you just get lecture through slide shows. The teachers are out to get you in anything stupid you can think about. Also you will feel like you back in high school. They tell you what to wear and how. You as a student have no saying in it. You are about to spend 20,000 dollars for education that you can do on your own if you buy the books. All we do is waste time most of the day. They do not have substitute teachers, so at times you have a teacher running 3 classes. Its really hard to believe, but its true. This is happening at the Edison Campus. Two weeks ago I complained to the Director of Education and nothing was done. there is not student counsel to watch over your business. My teacher had an emergency and had to leave, I understand an emergency. The teacher next door watched over the class and his own class, plus a third class of students, all in different mod. This happened around 12 noon. We had to take a quiz. The teacher made us wait an hour to take the quiz and I had to stay in class doing nothing after the quiz was done. You will have a lot of work on your own like 75% of the time. Think twicw before joining Lincoln Tech.

Id say it started off great and I loved it! but now im in my third mod and its ALOT of self teaching! I don't feel like im learning anything at all and I feel like im wasting my time and money =/ its like they'll tell you to go on a website and complete the work that's it! none of the instructors speak good English and if they do they speak way too fast! im just so on the fence of withdrawing myself from the program but at the same time I don't want to start all over elsewhere =/ oh and they treat you like highschoolers if you leave early for whatever reason you may have they will mark you absent for the day!

Not worth it! School has a horrible reputation which makes finding a job impossible. They completely mislead you when interviews. Instructors were drunk and just sent us home most of the time. Over priced and Sallie Mae loans will ruin you. Don't do it

Degree: Nursing Education
Graduation Year: 2015

LTI in Lincoln RI would be a good program if they would do away with the ATI person who tries to undermine every student and instructor in the building. Woman claims to be an RN but according to the board of nursing in the same state she doesn't even have an expired RI license so why is she pretending to be an RN in RI? Fraudulent. Not to mention she has lied to our class so many times the devil probably blushes.

This school is the WORST SCHOOL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. The teachers are totally clueless they dont teach at all they throw books at you and expect you to know the material inside and out even if you have no prior knowledge of the material. The grading system is totally messed up. As an LPN student you take a course the last month of your first quarter. There is a total of 3 exams and a final all equaling 95% of your grade. Yea really fair to set students up for failure. If you fail that class and want to repeat you only get ONE REPEAT FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR and you have to drop out of school and re enroll. Nothing of that is said at orientation or anywhere else. Basically you get a phone call saying "you only get on free repeat so it should be taken into consideration if you truly want to use it on a 30 hr course because if you fail any of the bulk classes through out the rest of the yr you will have to pay for them out of pocket" real encouraging right!!!!! Bust your hump day in and day out to be thrown around like a ping pong ball in an overpriced $30,000 program to feel like crap and have no direction on where else to go because you gave so much money to the school that turned into crap!!!! Not to mention the lack of clean classrooms and bathrooms without TP and paper towels, the so called lunch room is disgustimg and never cleaned and all it contains are vending machines that steal your money constantly, real nice for students who are at school from 8a-2:45p a day. The staff are rude and refuse to help when multiple students complain. The tests do not match the work, the clinicals are awful in disgusting nursing homes where pts are treated like garbage and abused. I regret ever going to the Edison campus and I suggest ppl who are considering going do your research before you waste financial aid money to go there. I am so beyond disgusted and angry that now I have to find another program to get into. Oh and major word of advice IF YOU WANT TO BECOME AN RN YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE THE WHOLE RN PROGRAM BC NONE OF THE CLASSES YOU TAKE HERE ARE TRANSFERABLE AT ALL, TOTALLY UNRECOGNIZED. So unless you want to be an LPN as a career re-think your choice.
