Lindenwood University Reviews
As a parent of a student attending Lindenwood Belleville I will say I had really high hopes that this was a good opportunity. Unfortunately, between the professors cancelling classes before each long weekend, the coach acting more immature than the students and the location being in a a high crime area the overall experience is less than what I hoped to be able to provide. Professors grade on scales that do not make any reasonable sense and they make up rules as they go. They are teaching students to be intolerant of EVERYTHING and only encourage like-minded thinking once they've instilled their Liberalism into them.
This University provided a welcoming environment for all types of students. I felt part of something bigger than me, where my goals and dreams could be possible to fulfill. The teachers were always a big support when it came to finding motivation and growth as I completed my degree. Being an out of state student, I was welcomed and treated with full confidence and financial support. This University has a great academic scholarship program that allows low/middle-income students get a high-level education. Moreover, the formation of classes and classrooms provides insightful interaction between the professor and student, being that there were no more that 30 students in each class.
If you are a single parent and work full time Lindenwood University LICE program will be great program for you. I was able to be a full time mom and work a full time good and maintain a 3.5 GPA. The professors was wonderful and they work with the students.
I met a ton of great people on campus who are now life long friends. I felt the faculty truly cared about my success. I did feel I had a lot of questions throughout my coursework and student teaching. The professors either tried to answer my question or found the answer after I emailed them. Overall, great school!
Lindenwood University is a great school for any type of degree you are pursuing in any stage of life. The faculty are highly qualified individuals and are not only great networking tools, but can become great mentors throughout your career. I have had a full and fun experience at Lindenwood as I was very involved in an array of organizations that taught me great leadership skills and great life lessons. There is so much to be learned in so many different ways at Lindenwood, you just have to have the willingness to learn.
I attended Lindenwood's Accelerated Degree Program and was very happy with all aspects of the school and the education I received. They have satellite buildings throughout the St. Louis metro area which makes attending classes convenient for busy, working adults.
Lindenwood University is one of the only institutions in the St. Louis, Missouri area that offers a Master's degree in character education. Many school districts throughout the country are recognizing the need for character development. Lindenwood's program offers practical, research based content to prepare current and future teachers to develop and lead character education programs in their schools. The classes are flexible; the university offers on campus, online, and hybrid classes that fit students' busy schedules. Overall, Lindenwood University prepares graduates for work in their field and offers courses many other universities don't offer.
The best aspect of Lindenwood University's graduate program is that it offers classes at times that serve the needs of working professionals. The University offers various hours and locations that take into account the schedule of graduate students. The instructors are mainly professionals in the field of study they teach and offer both knowledge and experience.
I enjoyed being close to home but living on campus. The professors are very knowledgeable and fair but strict to teach you how to survive in the real world after graduation. The campus is so beautiful and lively. I also enjoyed sharing the campus with so many different ethnicities because I think learning other cultures is very interesting. There's a strip down by the river with bars and restaurants very close to campus for the partier and there's food, grocery stress and gas station within walking distance too. I truly enjoyed my college years at Lindenwood University.
I loved attending Lindenwood. It was close to home and the size of the school was perfect. It wasn't too big but not too small. The classes were a decent size too...just the right amount of people. I do not like classes were the professor doesn't know your name. Several of the classes and the professors that taught them provided great hands on experience. It got me ready for the real world after I got out of college.
