"The physics and astronomy are great places. Amazing teachers that will stay over time to help you succeed. The program itself is okay, the classes are good, especially those taught by Prof. Brown, but there are few of them due to the small astronomy department. Still overall i loved my time there."

"Being a large university, and a Big 10 school there are so many different opportunities available from student clubs to majors/minors, and research projects that everyone can find their own niche here. Everywhere I go across the country and even abroad I always run into fellow Spartans, so there are extensive networking possibilities everywhere."

"I loved the atmosphere of the school. One big campus similar to a small city. However, the price to go here is enormous. I only stayed in the dorms my first year, which is required. I was a transfer student and came in my Junior year. I only re-took Chemistry. But, I ended up having $70,000 in debt. My chemistry class had a 27% pass percentage. The smaller classes were great because you felt important and had one-on-one time. But, the largerror classes had over 900 students and you didn't see the teacher but in lecture. Wish I would've picked a different degree but at the time all my professors were telling us it would be a breeze to get a job in the field because there is a boom of positions available. I started applying for job 6 months before I graduated and all they wanted was professionals with 10+ years of experience or a master's/doctorate. It's been 3 years and the only jobs I can find pay $7-9/hr."
