Missouri State University Reviews
Overall, I was very happy with my time at Missouri State University. It provided me with an amazing undergraduate experience and opportunities. There were a lot of extracurricular options that I was involved in that supplemented my degree. The biology program I was a part of was phenomenal, but I was not impressed with the physics department. The size of the University was ideal and fairly easy to navigate.
Missouri State is passionate about helping student find their place in the community. I chose to attend this college because of their mission statement and their drive to give back to the local community. There are so many wonderful programs that are very successful. My program, Kinesiology, has taught me valuable life lessons and knowledge that I can apply to my own life as well as knowledge that I can spread with others around me.
Missouri State University's Biomedical Sciences Department offers a wealth of resources to its students, including rigorous program of study that successfully equips one for tools necessary to succeed in post-undergraduate studies. The vast majority of students in BMS degree programs intend to continue their education, either through graduate school or professional programs. The rigor of the courses and schedule is unparalleled, and applying necessary discipline to be successful in MSU's program certainly lays a foundation of success for anyone wishing to achieve elite status in their medical profession.
The professors were amazing in the Kinesiology department, they made sure that you know everything that you need to in order to succeed in a career in the health fields. At the end of your schooling you have to pass the Certified Exercise Physiologist exam to officially graduate. This turned out to be great for me because I ended up getting a summer job designing exercise programs for a business in town and made pretty solid money before going on to grad school.
Missouri State was the perfect fit for me! Everything from academics, extra curricular activities, job opportunities to my social life. I had no problem finding activities and people that interested me. The professors and academic advisors in my discipline had open door policies and I always felt supported.
Missouri State University is a great college to attend. I had a great experience, made lots of friends and as an international student you get help anywhere you go.
I enjoyed what my time in school mostly. My department was generally good. The biggest thing is like all universities they care more about taking your money then anything else. So many of the classes that are required are a waste of time and money. I received a degree in a science field but half my time in school I was taking more classes on stupid worthless subjects like theater or religion. It won't happen schools make to much one off it but students should only take classes directly related to the degree and the purpose of the education should be to prepare a person for a job in the choose field
I attend Missouri State University from 2004 to 2007. The fashion program was a great experience with staff that has relatable experience in the industry. The experiences that the program offered, trips to industry cities and overseas, were well planned and very influential on internships and future jobs. I would not say that this program is well known in the industry, but I felt that I was well prepared and given realistic experience during my time there.
Great programs in education, business, agriculture, and music. Horrible English Dept.
I enjoyed my time at MSU and I enjoyed the BSW program. The professors make you work and reach outside of your comfort zone by volunteering with organizations that you might not otherwise volunteer with.
