"I am so sorry I came to this program. Sure it is an excellent bargain regarding tuition, but you get what you pay for. Director takes months to answer emails. Then she is vague when she bothers to write. Little (like $100) or no financial support for research, conferences, or travel Took members of my Cohort over a semester just to schedule a defense No standards regarding plagiarism, cheating, or even in preparation for defense NOT student friendly- really administration friendly- it's all about them Low faculty morale- they all have at least 15 doctoral students- EACH- to chair Men are favored and passed through- women must claw and scratch their way through The faculty care, but I see how they are also treated like scum. The state of Maryland found that they overcharged in-state students like out-of-state students- this is illegal and happens A LOT I had a great undergrad HBCU experience. But grad school at MSU is a whole other issue. I should have gone to Howard."

"I truly do feel like in numerous areas they lack academics, like illuminating understudies about occasions and scholastics. Morgan to me is an exceptional shut-off school. In the event that you don't resemble a specific gathering of individuals or dress equivalent to them, you'll be forgotten about on numerous occasions. There are a lot of cliques here at Morgan and many individuals here are some interesting people to me. I'm an information system major and my whole time being here at Morgan I haven't received any data on internships or things to assist me with bettering my career. Morgan is a party school and so I feel like it's effective for individuals to get distracted. I've met a couple of individuals last semester and many have let me know they weren't truly here for the schooling they were hanging around for the public activity. Morgans acceptance rate is extremely high and all things considered, I think there are numerous students who just got acknowledged and came. Not that many students who are truly determined for school have a passion for themselves and are competitive. Generally, if you are genuine about your career and need a school that really focuses on their understudies I don't recommend morgan being the right school for you."

"Morgan State University (MSU, Morgan State, or Morgan) is a public historically black (HBCU) research university in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the largest of Maryland's HBCUs. "If you are looking to make an impact on your community, both in and out of the classroom, Morgan State University is surely the school for you! Upon enrolling as a freshman in 2015, I quickly became involved on campus and begun to make my mark. During my freshman year, I ran for Miss Freshman (a position that allows for you to be the voice/advocate for the entire freshman class). Although I lost the race, I did not let that stop me from being an active member of the Morgan State community. I decided to join the Student Government Association (SGA) as the Freshman Class Community Service Director, in addition I joined a community service based organization called The National Council of Negro Women. My sophomore year, I became involved in an organization called Jewels Inc., which was a mentoring program for young intercity girls in high school. Junior year, I became a member of the Student Research Center and also became a member of the Black and Gold Royal Court representing the Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. As my undergraduate studies came to an end, I decided to join the Psychological Society, an organization geared specifically to Psychology majors that provided us with networking oppurtunities for the future. During my senior year as a Psych major, I was required to conduct and present my own body of research as a part of my graduation requirements. Overall, I really enjoyed my matriculation at Morgan and would recommend the university to anyone looking to be a force of change in the world. This university has truly given me the building blocks to success."

"Morgan State University is a great school. My program helped prepare me for my career as an educator by giving me the knowledge and helping me build the skills that I needed to be successful in the classroom. My experience at Morgan also prepared me to teaching students abroad in Malaysia through the Fulbright program. My professors at Morgan have supported me throughout my academic and professional journey. Having such caring professors support me and push me to be my best."

"Morgan State University is a great school to attend if you are looking to improve your self-initiative skills. They will make nothing easy for you (which is a good thing in a lot of ways, but can be a pain in others). It's easy getting into Morgan but they will make you work to get out. Retention rate is really high, not because students are lazier here than anywhere else, but because of the numerous standardized tests you must pass with a "B" or better in order to graduate. I, myself, had to take 7 different standardized exams. I was tempted to complain about Morgan a lot while I was there however, now that I look back I am really grateful for the standard they uphold. It grew me and now I tell everyone "Go to Morgan if you want to learn!""

"Morgan was an excellent school. The class sizes were not overwhelmingly large. This have students a chance to have meaningful interactions will all instructors. My department was small, so I was constantly in touch with my professor, program director and advisor. The professors were very helpful for the most part."

"Although Morgan State University was not my first choice, it was the best decision I've made thus far in life. My 5 years at Morgan State University cultivated the leader that I am today. When I first got to Morgan, I was a Chemistry major. As a Cameroonian-American, only careers in medicine, pharmacy, engineering and law were acceptable. Later during my matriculation, I realized that I did not enjoy chemistry and more importantly, I did not want to become a pharmacist. As a result of this realization, I changed my major to Biology. Again, another great decision, I made. While Morgan's Biology Department wasn't equipped with the best labs, it was home to a very intelligent, research-oriented faculty and learning under this diverse faculty further fueled my interest in science. If there was one thing I could change about my program, it would be to make research a requirement. The program was originally intended for those students interested in pursuing Medical school after graduation, the entire student population could have befited from a required internship or science project. Other than that, Morgan was the best!"

"Pros: Teachers seemed to be invested in our success. Program consisted of teachers that thought outside the box and pushed the limits to learning in creative ways. Cons: Upcoming changes/uncertainty related to the future of the graduate program served as a distraction at times to current students."

"Some of the classes are challenging with the work loads, while others, the teachers are challenging because they are rude. You have to decide whether to fight rude with rude or be the bigger person so that your grade isn't jeopardized."
