National American University Online Reviews of Bachelor's in Business

This school has became a joke in the last 5 to 10 years. Because people were forced online, the higher ups (Trump wanna be's) believe this is the direction they should stay because students are enrolling in online classes. YEAH BECAUSE THERE ARE NO ON CAMPUS CLASSES ANYMORE!! HELL there is no more staff at that. I hate to say this as I personally know the founding family of this company, THIS COMPANY is going under. I have 3 classes left and cannot seem to get a response and oh by the way I work... Read More for the corporation! I have had issues with every online class and instructor I have had. Why can someone have a 4.3 GPA level in on-campus classes but the minute they take the half a**ed online classes and fail every-time. Thanks for letting a computer do your job!!! I am going to finish my last three classes then I'm out!! If I can get the classes needed!!!!!!! If you are looking into attending a college may as well find the cheapest you can to get your degree because in the end they are all the same anymore, you just get shit on and end up paying more if the school has a name!! Hopefully I can keep others from getting screwed in the a** over and over. This is sad to say, as less than 3 years ago they had some great instructors and things were running rather productively. Now, not so much!!!

I graduated last year 2017 from NAU with my BA in Business Management and the entire time it was dreadful. Even now I was dumb enough to back to school for my masters using their graduate program and that was a joke. Ive always had super helpful academic advisors which was the only positive part to going to this school. During my BA i had run out financial aid but was told that I was fine and my costs were covered until April of 2017... when I get a letter stating that I owed the school over 7k and... Read More was going to be sent to collections if I did not pay by the end of the month!!!! Not once was I ever told I had any outstanding balances owed to the school.. Now with me pulling out from my masters classes the day after they call me with a $22 balance telling me that I was 90+ days past due on it... again no one said anything! My husband now attends the school for the same degree and they have yet again found a way to get more money out of us!! Not to mention hes a military veteran with the GI bill!!! I will not be returning thats for sure!!

The greatest issue facing this institution is the fact that it is willing to take in students with no S.A.T. or A.C.T. scores. This creates a high turnover rate of unsuccessful students. Many students complain that they do not receive the help they need, but the help they need is too significant of an obstacle for them to graduate from any university. I didn't graduate, made me put one, Wow, NAU, This university is a complete JOKE, so I go and enroll, that was my first mistake. So I enroll into business, I had problems from the first day of Class, no one would explain a thing to me, I had problems know how to do the discussion. Read More day I started, I got no phone call back, no emails from my instructors, complete joke, I took 4 class's I had to drop out because I had absolutely no support and the business law I was in, I need my instructor to help t me, I got so frustrated that I dropped out, I was told right from the start that my financial aid was set up, no problems just keep going, and everything is fine, not so much. I got a bill for 11000.00 dollars, for 4 class that I had no support in what so ever. DO NOT GO TO NAU, they say they are credited to find out they are not, oh they will tell you they are, but they are not recognized by most universities, and you will find yourself having to take more classes and spend more money. biggest rip off out there. BEWARE THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR

This school is a joke!!! All they want is your money. The school compared to real schools is so easy! TOO easy. If you think its hard, you have problems. Here it is the last week of school and still have not received any refund although it was posted to my account at school on 8/11/2015. It was due on July 7th 2015.They owe me over 2000.00. 1. I was NEVER told about a problem until a few weeks ago and then I had to take care of it myself. I had to call them to see what happened to my financial aid.... Read More They said We were trying to do it ourselves. 2. My loans have processed to NAU account but not to mine. 3. I was told that my money would be on my Access card on Aug 11,2015 4. Now its due the LAST week of school on tuesday 5. NAU owes me 2189.54 and need to pay this federal money out to me 6. Not one of my funds at this school was on time. NOT one! I have sent emails to the Tulsa school and to the SD branch. To everyone I have an email for. I just wrote to the president of this school This school has no grievance procedure as their school handbook says except to get a hold of the president. I have post and kept up with my school work and did exactly what they said I have lost my car, no medication, no money, no rent. What an I supposed to do. I am contacting every school state they belong to and will file a complaint This school and employees are ridiculous!!! I WILL not recommend this school and they were kicked out of the Better Business Bureau! Hows that for incompetence! You can search for NAU complaints and it will pop up just look yourself. I am withdrawing from this school immediately!!!!

I've been attending NAU on and off for years. Military and family life is known for interrupting educational plans. I honestly don't know what I was thinking at first when I initially enrolled. It seems a bit silly to be hung-up on the name of a University but I regret not looking into a state university for their solid reputations. I think if NAU would change their commercial marketing to something a little more comparable to the age-old prestigious reputation of a state college, I would feel a... Read More bit more proud of it. Now, outside of my shallow need for prestige, NAU is okay. Similar to another review I just glanced over, I too feel like the grading bar is not very high. But then again, I may have always felt as if college should be more challenging that it actually is (not that I'm a brainiac or anything.) My biggest complaint about NAU distance learning is the extremely confusing interface. The virtual classrooms are NOT very user friendly. I sincerely find writing in relation to each lesson plan in just about every nook and cranny. You 'may' accidentally find a hyperlinked word that 'might' lead you to the window you want to be in. It took me about 20 minutes of searching before I even found the screen with the list of classmate message links and the instructor 'somewhere' in the sea of student names. When I finally figured out how to send a message, I literally had to delete the auto-population of every single student's name out of the blind-courtesy-copy. Was there an easier way of sending a message? Probably. But if I know NAU, the option was hidden somewhere on another website on another planet in another galaxy. Outside of all of this, in another year I should have my degree. I have dreams of my giant framed accomplishment on the wall. I just wish it was Texas State, Southern Illinois, or A&M, but I'm too close to turn to something else now. Thanks NAU for getting me across the finish line.

I feel that this school is very helpful in the enrollment process, i used to attend a local state school here and they were no help at all. NAU does care about you, and i have seen plenty of students blame the school or financial aid when they fail their classes. Obviously if you fail and don't try, that affects your Financial Aid, if you fail your classes over and over its using up your FA. Read More take responsibility when you fail your classes, when you are in college you teach yourself to develop studying habits for you to be successful, not everything is going to be handed to you. Do your research and stop complaining about being in debt, i have been at National American University for about 3 years and its hard, but i am happy to say i have not failed any classes and will soon have my Bachelors, so therefore I'm expecting to pay exactly what i knew i was getting myself into. You and only you are responsible for not failing, stop blaming the school, and your financial aid team. so study up and stop being lazy.
