"One of the worst experiences Ive had with an educational institution. Your federal loans will not cover your degree program, but you will not be told this until you are a term away from graduating. You will be lead to believe that all is taken care of and be slapped in the face, so to speak, with an exorbitant amount of money needed, out of pocket, to complete your degree. Essentially, holding your degree for ransom. Bottom line, choose a different school!"

"I attended NAU online at the Sioux Falls school and I attended NAU College of Military Studies. Both are a waste of money and time. They overcharge you for classes and books, but don't explain their return policies or anything else. When you drop out they either try to charge you for tuition or books that you shouldn't owe them for. They are no help whatsoever with your classes or anything else. Plus if you were discharged with other than honorable discharge from the military, you don't get a discount. I served my country too.!!"

"This school is a joke and from the looks of it every department is a joke. I enrolled in school at the end of July for the Sept 8 classes here it is October still my financial aid nowhere near completed. This school is soon unorganized, they all lack communication skills. It is sad when students have to call and find out they financial aid not even completed and everyone person you talk to give you totally different stories. So I finally think I'm getting some help from a head person, but its been three weeks and its always I'm still working on it, I'm going to help you get this completed. I really think National American University is full of crap. If you not going to help complete my financial aid let me know so I can drop this unhelpful school and go somewhere where they are willing to help they students like they are paid to do so. And I'm not the only student that is going through this. So they need to get it together before I take this a step further and have this university under investigation. I believe in fairness and NAU is far from giving that."

"I attended NAU in 2007. I was an on line student. I found the enrollment adviser and the process easy, and her assistance helpful. However, my professor in one of my classes was rude, and demeaning. I was unable to grasp the concepts of the class, and despite seeking help through tutoring, my grades were continuing to slip. She found it "fun" to post my failing grades on the classroom "blackboard." I went to my academic adviser and she said she would talk with her. Within days of this disaster, my son got gravely ill, and we were admitted to the hospital. I tried to keep up with my classes, but was unsuccessful. I talked with my adviser, and dropped my classes, and left the college. I was told since F/A hadn't been notified, of my attendance there would be no charge for my attendance. To this day, I still receive collection notices. They are not a good college. I do NOT recommend them to any one for any reason."
