"If you want to be cared about, this is not the school. I am in the nursing program, no one hears us out about our complaints. They preach on how much they care about our mental health being nursing school is a big stressor. Nursing school will never be easy any college you attend but it is WAY worse when you have teachers who do not support you, help you or even teach you. Teachers here do not teach. The whole nursing program and programs before/after us say the same thing, we have all been teaching ourselves. We have been fighting for better teachers and education. Pick a better school than this, make sure you go on a college tour and meet your professors if you can. With love, your future nurse."

"NYIT is a great college to attend. Especially if interested in technology, architecture and management. The Manhattan campus is good because of how convenient it is with public transportation and if there are any questions the professors are very helpful. If interested in extracurricular activities there are many. Volunteer work is always available and there are many educational and fun clubs to join. It is also very safe and there are many serveries available. Enjoy it there and get further with life!"

"I tremendously enjoyed my experience with NYIT in New York. Not only was the campus beautiful, but they made a point to create a unique college atmosphere and experience for the students. I gained a ton of knowledge in management and upper-level executive positions while networking and having a true college experience."

"It was terrible. People couldn't communicate in English properly and got As. How can someone get an A if the professor doesn't understand the words coming out of their mouths or if their papers are in coherent English on a good day?"

"I've really enjoyed my time at NYIT. Academics are certainly challenging, but rewarding, and students usually aren't excessively stressed about grades. Professors are, for the most part, incredibly knowledgeable and care about students, but there are some (particularly those teaching intro classes) who could use some improvement. The local area can be a bit expensive and far away (especially without a car). The professors are super interesting and the students are so welcoming and friendly. The campus is beautiful, but it can be a bit overwhelming."

"I learned a lot. If you decide to take Communication Arts make sure that you chose a major. Don't do independent study it will not prepare you for the workforce. The school is wonderful. I learned a lot at this school. It has an exciting environment."

"I loved the atmosphere of New York Institute of Technology. I didn't really want to leave. However, it is possible to complete this program without a specialization. I recommend that you make sure that you specialize in something in order to be a viable candidate for career possibilities. I didn't have a specialization and it is hard for me to find work in this field now. it wasn't a waist because I can now get a doctorate degree, if I choose to. I have gotten some great administrative jobs; but that is not my dream. I really wanted to work in film and television. In 2006, the program was designed in such a way that all of the screenwriting courses were four credits and I was unable to take them because my financial aid did not cover it. However, it is a great school."

"I'm not longing pursuing work from this degree, but the experience I had while attending NYIT helped me mature and figure out what I wanted from life, and now I'm a graduate student becoming a Physician Assistant."

"I did not enjoy my time at this school. There was rampant cheating in every course I took. Most of the professors used powerpoints solely as their method of choice for teaching. Coursework was vastly more difficult and often was not was taught during class. Not enough courses were offered so students had to sign up for irrelevant courses and have them substituted just so they wouldn't be considered part-time and lose financial aid."

"NYIT provided a great experience for me to obtain my psychology degree. I have met some great people there and have life time friendships because of that. The course work was challenging yet rewarding. I would recommend NYIT to anyone. The campus is beautiful and the school is great."

"The pros of my graduate Physician Assisstant program is that it is an extremely challenging program that will successfully prepare me for my future in health care. The cons of my program is that because of the intensity of the program, it leaves very minimal time for personal activities outside of school."

"The Communication Arts department is really awesome, for the most part all professors are willing to help and get to know you on a personal level. The internship opportunities are amazing. My couselor was super helpful with my class schedule. She pretty much did it all for me. I really like it here. Except for the price, its so expensive."
