I love the campus and Flagstaff. I enjoyed my time there. I wish I'd lived on campus though. I feel like i would have been more involved and made more friends. I'm still good friends with my roommates and several friends from NAU.

Northern Arizona University has a great social sciences department. My major was psychology and my minor was sociology. Almost every professor I had was engaging and genuinely cared about the students success. I worked hard to earn a 4.0 GPA but it wasn't an impossible work load. The campus is beautiful, nestled in the tall pines of northern Arizona. It is only a 2 hour drive from Sky Harbor Airport and metropolitan Phoenix. I took advantage of a summer study abroad program that was faculty lead and it was an experience I will never forget. I went on to graduate school at another university and the professors from NAU who helped me along my academic journey still check in from time to time. Flagstaff is a great place to live and NAU is an outstanding university, I would highly recommend it to anyone.
