"If you had any sliver of intellect, you would avoid this program. Anticipate being treated as school children. Your time is invaluable to them. The clinical coordinator is embarrassingly and notoriously unorganized. She'll email you about changes to your clinicals the day of at 3am. Many professors are harsh and unapologetic about their numerous mistakes that you have to suffer. Several make this program a living hell. They are unaccommodating, unintelligent, authoritative, and demeaning. Many will read directly from the slides or book for the entirety of class. They are stubborn and defensive when asked any extra questions. Save your money."

"The first thing to say about this program is it’s not a clinical program which means if you do not wish to pursue the PhD program you are screwed. No option for licensure. No, you can’t even get licensed for Registered Mental Health Intern. When I checked with the board they pretty much told me to do my Masters all over again. No real direction, once you are accepted no one from admissions or career services reaches out. Additionally, you never know who to contact. Your professors will tell you this is just a stepping stone, you will need to continue for clinical certification. I spoke with the Program Director and she wished me the best of luck. I think the only really good part of the program are the teachers for the most part but for the price and the payoff it makes no sense. The director said it’s the knowledge and not what you can get with the program on a masters level. It makes sense to either do MHC or SW and get licensed. Don’t waste your money."

"To anyone considering this University for Occupational therapy: I would highly suggest you ask many questions when applying and choosing this program. I attended Nova Southeastern University this summer and left because everything they told me when I accepted my admission was a lie and a show. They were unsupportive, unorganized, and I felt the professors did not think I had any potential. One of them even told me to possibly change my career to possibly teaching because of my abilities. Which to be honest, broke my heart and they also made many comments about my abilities. Please choose wisely and make sure if you need support the school will provide it. Good luck."

"Miami campus. If you are planning to attend here good luck. The lack of communication is unbearable. Nobody knows anything, and get ready to waste your time and money. Professors make mistakes and blame the students. Also, get ready to be threaded as if you were in kindergarten."

"I’m surprised at how expensive NSU is and the poor quality of the nursing program. Half the professors don’t speak clear English and are hard to understand and when you ask them a question you get something completely off. The other half don’t care. There’s a few who are good. The dean does not care about anyone. They are so unorganized and lack communication. You don’t find out important information until the day before. Nobody knows anything, and then somehow they go and blame the students. I would never recommend NSU nursing to anyone, not for that price."

"Nova Southeastern University is expensive, and unhelpful in advancing your nursing career. There are only a handful of faculty scattered throughout the program and staff that truly care about seeing students succeed. Save yourself and choose another school’s program."

"I would never be able to honestly recommend this school to any future candidates. While I do believe that the fieldwork experiences I had would not have been possible if I had attended other programs, the pure lack of organization and communication within the department ruins you as a future practitioner. They will lie and leave you out to fend for yourself more often than not, rather than supporting you as a student. For the amount you pay, you would expect a graduate program to have organization but instead they lost countless professors due to the negative environment for everyone, leaving students in a mess of confusion and delays. They do not uphold the same standards that they expect from students and the pure lack of respect speaks for itself."

"At least on the Miami campus, This program has drastically changed and not for the better. The professors are extremely incompetent. They talk a lot about empathy, and nurses should not assume anything about the patients, yet they do everything that is told to us not to do. The schedule is all messed up as well as communication. I cannot wait to graduate and leave. If you want to go to a school that does not care about its students, this is the school. For how expensive it is to get a BSN here, it is definitely not worth it. Professors do not know the difference between being hard and fair. They think that everything is white and black and that students do not have a life besides nursing school, so you better make sure to make your life perfect on those 7 semesters. Think more than twice before going to NSU."

"I loved NSU so much, I’m going here for graduate school too. For my program, I stayed with mostly the same people all four years of undergrad. Having small class sizes makes it much more personable and the professors all did their best to connect with the students and help us learn. Campus is beautiful as well. The only downfall is financial aide services. Every single year, there was some mistake that I had to call and stay on hold for an hour or more to fix the problem. They did always resolve it, but I think the financial aide services are definitely something that NSU should change."

"The class size is large almost 100 students and they cramp the class in a room were it’s obviously not going to accommodate the large size therefore students ended up standing up during the first 30 minutes of class. You get the same professors so if you don’t like the teaching style you’re stuck the rest of the program. Professors are disorganized and they don’t use their microphone so if you sat in the back good luck trying to understand the lecture plus they have thick accent and double masks. Bathrooms in the building does not work sometimes. For the books and online homework portal you will be mandated to get them and the homework isn’t going to be graded. If you are considering this school be ready shredding your cash."

"This is the worst school in the world, the teachers barely speak english, they're so unorganized and they steal your money. They should loose their accreditation. They do not care about their students and you're probably going to fail the nclex if you go here."

"I would never recommend this school. I thought it would be amazing since I have family and friends that have attended here. The fact is even students in there 5 or 6 semester will tell you that the school has declined drastically. You have professors that you are absolutely horrible in the sense they rather belittle you and break you down instead of build your confidence. Of course nursing school is hard but the environment and pace set if unhealthy both mentally and physically. They give you the run around with any concern or just ignore it all together. I wish I never came to this school. It has actually changed my love for nursing. Being belittled and disrespected is not what I signed up for, especially at the 10 grand a semester price tag."

"Nova is a beautiful place. A beautiful place to put yourself in more debt than your degree will even be worth. Nova is a business, it’s all about money in the end. With the pandemic that is happening as I write this, 100s of people have been laid off without work indefinitely with NO PAY. But students get paid for their time. Not temps. This university needs to do some serious re-evaluating if it’s ethics."

Being a student at Nova Southeastern University afforded me many opportunities to become involved in research and other community activities. Nova provides numerous opportunities for internships, research and practicum experiences."

"The professors were helpful. I am hoping the skills I will develop while pursuing my masters degree would enable me to make an effective contribution towards my current employer and be an asset. I am also hoping to use it to be able to work independently and not have to rely on an employer and be an independent thinker, leader and entrepreneur. I want to be able to use the experience towards real life challenges, personal growth. There's are certain positions that requires a masters degree or prefer someone with a masters degree. Having a masters degree would allow me to qualify for those positions and I would be able apply for them. After completing my advance degree, I am anticipating applying for other positions, that would be able to help me more financially. I would be able to present my degree to my current employer in hoping in getting a pay increase. I would have a lot more opportunities available to me, not just at my current employer, but also outside of my employment. I would investigate working for myself if all possible. I might keep my current employment for benefit reason and work on a business part- time and to hope to grow eventually to maybe full-time. There's a lot I can do with an advance degree. Therere more opportunities, more money. You become more of an asset to the organization. I am hoping to apply everything that I learned during my study to my life and work experience and being able to make an effective contribution not just in the work place but in my everyday life. Hopefully, having my masters degree can give the fulfillment that I need and the yearning for knowledge that I have been searching for."

"I currently attend Nova Southeastern University's college of pharmacy and am pursuing a PharmD degree. If you are interested in applying to this program, they highly emphasize on community service programs as well as your academic profile throughout the application process. Overall, I highly recommend this program to undergraduate students interested in pursuing pharmacy. The professors are excellent and willing to help their students."

"It was a great school that provided lots of resources. Perfect for anyone who has a family. There is plenty of opportunity to take online classes if needed. The best part of the program is the internship. They provide hours in the site of choice which gears you up for the real world practice. If it wasnt so expensive then it would be a perfect school."

"I have read many student reviews on Nova Southeastern University, quite a few positive, and about as many negative as well. But one theme that keeps resounding is Nova being labeled as a distance learning school. This is somewhat misleading and possibly inaccurate. Nova Southeastern University, in my assessment as one of their alumni, is a traditional brick and mortar university that built its reputation on distance learning. They were pioneers in distance learning long before it was acceptable and commonplace today. Nova Southeastern University really needs to resolve this issue and make a declarative statement as to what kind of institution they really are...whether a traditional university or an online university. Again, I disagree with the latter, and if Nova feels the same way, they should promote themselves as a traditional university and distance themselves from the for-profit online universities that they are often compared with. I think it would be better to be a traditional university that offers some online degrees, then to be classified as a purely "online" university. The online stigma is harmful and counterproductive to all doctoral graduates of the school, even as popular as online education is today."
