"The curriculum is engineered to include everything you need to be successful at passing the NCLEX exam the very first time. It is not an easy program but organized and fair. Competition for entry is fierce; but once in the program, one is destined to be successful with dedication and hard work."

"my experience at Oakland University was generally a pleasant one. Its a quite campus, and its community are mostly friendly. It did offer a variety of online courses, and that was beneficial to me, because i had kids at the time, and going to campus was really hard. the professors were helpful and professional in most of my classes exempt for a couple of people, which i gad minor issues with over assignments, but gerally speaking they were good to work with,"

"If you need any degree just for the sake of having a degree, then this is a decent college for you. Professors at this school is a hit or miss. Sometimes they were good and loved what they did, and some were in over their head. The administration at OU was always unhelpful, incompetent, and rude. Financial aid is ran horribly and they make mistakes very often. I graduated with honors and still haven't been offered a job. Their degrees are worthless."

"Very unprofessional school. I had a major issue with a teacher who would not respond to my emails, and it ended up going to the dean and even the dean would not respond until I got serious and then he simply stated theres nothing he can do. Ive never dealt with people so unprofessional, and if I did not respond to my clients at my work, I would be fired. I passed all my classes and graduated in 4 years so this is not a complaint because I failed or didn't go good. This is to warn future students to what they will deal with."

"I really enjoyed the Business program at Oakland University. I graduated and went directly into my field prepared for my career. The professors are knowledgeable, tough but fair. The advisors in the department were extremely helpful and helped me to graduate on time. The placement department was great, they worked diligently to help me prepare my resume and gave valuable advice for job search. I had a job in my field two months prior to graduation."

"Small enough to get attention you deserve but big enough to get the education. Beautiful campus."

"Oakland University is an exceptional higher education facility, between its diverse staff and students you can learn different cultural aspects from all different lifestyles. There are lots of sports and clubs to join to become an active student in the community. My favorite part of Oakland University so far are the great professors. They do not hesitate to stop what they're doing to help you understand the material, and they can be very personable in helping with regular day-to-day responsibilities. I highly recommend joining, or at least checking out, Oakland University!"

"Great university that is constantly updating the facilities and expanding. That campus can be crowded as the amount of students continues to increase. The location is great as it is local for many people. It is also surrounded by tons of great companies that seek OU students for internships, co-ops, and full time positions."

"Oakland University has a great Psychology program. The professors in the program are outstanding and are passionate about what they do. They taught me how to be a critical thinker in the field, which sets me apart from others. I would recommend this program to others interested in Psychology."

"Oakland university Does not offer course equivalencies through programs like co-op or Interning. A lot of knowledge is gathered through working in a career that is similar to class applications. I found this to be very disappointing as a student at Oakland"

"I completed my nursing degree at Oakland University and am so excited to be pursuing my masters in Nurse anesthesia there as well. the Faculty are great to work with and want to see all of their students succeed. Their programs are rigorous but do a great job at training their students to be a well rounded professional when they come out of school!"

"Oakland University is located in Rochester, Michigan about 30 minutes from downtown Detroit. The campus at OU is beautiful and there has been a lot of new construction of dormitories, athletic facilities, and parking structures. Most students commute to campus, however, in recent years more undergraduates have moved to the campus. Graduate students (Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine) tend to live off campus in one of the many nearby and affordable apartment complexes. The gym is amazing, and there are always fun and free classes to attend. OU is also home to Meadowbrook Music Hall and Meadowbrook Amphitheatre which are sites for symphonies, plays, and concerts."

"Oakland University offered a wonderful environment for students to strive and learn about their degree of choice. I was able to involve myself in the Psychology Department and assist in research as well as student activities. Their curriculum prepared me well enough to continue my education for a Masters Degree which I will be continuing with at the University of Michigan this coming fall."

"Oakland's Masters in teaching degree allowed me to continue working up until student teaching. The cohort program was especially beneficial as I've built bonds with fellow students that I still continue today. It allowed us to support each other, network, and share ideas that have continued to enrich my teaching."

"Has and amazing yearlong teaching program and the history professors were outstanding and helpful. I always enjoyed going to class and learned a lot at Oakland University. The Step program prepares you for teaching and is highly competitive. They are also affiliated with the IB program and I feel I have gotten a lot out of my education"

"The health science program can be quite rigorous depending on your concentration but it will greatly prepare you for grad school. In fact, I will soon begin the doctor of physical therapy program at Oakland University. I feel confident in my ability to succeed thanks to my undergraduate experience."

"While a college degree is crucial, students should also place a high importance on getting real world job experience. Actually working in different occupations helps a great degree when it comes to developing character and you will learn things that you could never learn in school."
