I enjoyed the 5-week adult education format and the Christian focus. However, the staff at OCU have no idea what they are doing. They almost canceled our cohort twice because they forgot to sign us up for the next class. Then when they finally got our cohort enrolled, they charged me twice for the same class. I graduated and receive my diploma then 6 months later they send me a bill for $1,000 saying they are going to send my account to collections. They have some great professors but their administrative staff seems to be totally incompetent.

Hello let me start with the school as a whole. At first glance the school grounds and school foundation which would be God surrounded and the social outreach xlibs are all very good in this school. Unfortunalty the school has a lot infastructure issues really making it very difficult and strenuous on the student. Several things is that the school requires madatory 2 trips that are needed to be self funded for certain degrees. This is not mentioned to you in orientation so when a trip costs roughly... The trips are fine in them selves but while on the trip which unfortunatly falls on normal class days the student must still complete normal homework assignments ontop of the trip or the student will fall behind. This brings me to another piont where the school ciriculum and the what the teachers ciriculem clash. The teachers will not excuse missing or late or even though the student is required to preform a school activity for completion of degree. Through these events the lack of communication was huge making all this more difficult.These were two of the biggest struggles and downfalls to the school. Maybe in time the school will become more unified but only time will tell I hope this helps.

Let's start with the fact that I didn't finish. I approached the school because my husband was friends with a recruiter. Before enrolling I explained that I was laid off and couldn't afford payments at that time. They said that's fine and approved me for $40,000 in student loans which they said I wouldn't need all of that. I started and the classes were SUPER repetitive! We primarily took gen ed classes with very few core classes. About 9 months before I was to graduate they said I was out of funding....... Read More WHAT!?!? They said that my funding amount had changed (in a little over a year). I was now only approved for $30,000 and I had used it all. Well that pissed me off but ok I'll just waist that money and get out of school..... oh wait the class you're currently in isn't covered and each class is over $2,000. I tried to drop the class but because I attended 2 classes I had to pay for the whole amount. Enter their debt collector. The first piece of mail I received from them was this morning and then AT WORK I get a call. I was ticked! I said do not call me at work! He said that we've been trying to call your other number for 2 weeks but no one answers. The rep said oh we can't leave messages. Wait you can't say "hey Tara call us at... blah blah phone number"? Seriously! I'm getting in trouble at work now for personal calls and I can't get them to stop for a debt that I accrued from shady practices. I don't recommend this school. Good luck in your search and with your future but this Christian collage has some very un-Christian practices.

I attended OCU and I received my Degree in Business Management. I am currently in school again to achieve my BA in Psychology. I love this school and for the most part the professors are great. The professors work with you if needed and will allow extra time to complete your assignment depending on the urgency. I felt wonderful coming back to school after all these years of trying to achieve this degree. I think it's more of a goal for me and not so much depending on it for a career opportunity,... I will encourage anyone who is interested in furthering their education to at least consider the Ohio Christian University because I truly love this school!!!!

My experience at OCU has translated into success. I was three years into a career change when I enrolled into OCU’s AIM program. Within 22 months of enrollment I earned a BA in Business Management. Since graduating from OCU I have achieved real success. I have a great job where I am a Systems Administrator. I am paid well; travel extensively; bought a new house; and expanded my family.
