"Far to many basic repetitive classes. Not even touching the main course. The layout and instruction is far to confusing and not written clearly. Seems like a bunch of dimwits put it all together. I did not finish my 1st 10 weeks because there are little communications of clarity when needing help. They have ZERO webinars, and I find those important and very helpful since those are done in real time! Needless to say I ma switching online colleges. Overall HORRIBLE and I do NOT recommend this online college!!! RUN AWAY FROM IT FAST!!!!!"

"Let's start with the fact that I didn't finish. I approached the school because my husband was friends with a recruiter. Before enrolling I explained that I was laid off and couldn't afford payments at that time. They said that's fine and approved me for $40,000 in student loans which they said I wouldn't need all of that. I started and the classes were SUPER repetitive! We primarily took gen ed classes with very few core classes. About 9 months before I was to graduate they said I was out of funding.... WHAT!?!? They said that my funding amount had changed (in a little over a year). I was now only approved for $30,000 and I had used it all. Well that pissed me off but ok I'll just waist that money and get out of school..... oh wait the class you're currently in isn't covered and each class is over $2,000. I tried to drop the class but because I attended 2 classes I had to pay for the whole amount. Enter their debt collector. The first piece of mail I received from them was this morning and then AT WORK I get a call. I was ticked! I said do not call me at work! He said that we've been trying to call your other number for 2 weeks but no one answers. The rep said oh we can't leave messages. Wait you can't say "hey Tara call us at... blah blah phone number"? Seriously! I'm getting in trouble at work now for personal calls and I can't get them to stop for a debt that I accrued from shady practices. I don't recommend this school. Good luck in your search and with your future but this Christian collage has some very un-Christian practices."

"So to update my feelings about Ohio Christian University. Even after getting billed $100 for having to drop a class because of my wife emergency surgery, and $65.00 fee for the book they said I did not return, I promised that I would send the money on my next payday in September. They turned it over to a collection company. They could not wait one week, come on, give your students a break, or do you really not care if we return or what we have to say about this University. I will never admit I attended here, so sad."

"This curriculum is difficult to follow as it is not verbalized correctly. Therefore, the expectations are unclear to say the least. There is a Christian aspect to the college, however, I am seeing a lot hypocrisy. For example, while we are taught about honor, the other students are allowed to make fun of and tease other people on a deep level if their beliefs do not combine. It is a tragedy as a christian to see name-calling and bad mouthing. The professors are lazy and do not care. They do not teach in the online environment, yet earn a paycheck? They criticize your work in a way that is demeaning and unfruitful. Instead of telling you what you did wrong and helping you understand they simply say what you did wrong. As someone attempting to learn and trying to not fail, it becomes a disaster. I agree with the people that stated that their organization is corrupt. The financial aid people do not honor the military discount until you are forceful and nag them for a long time. They do not do financial aid correctly and send you harassing letters after promising that you do not have to pay them until the end of the semester. All in all, this has already been a terrible experience. I would not wish this on anyone."

"Ohio Christian University offers a good range of classes online and I learned how to prioritize my time and develop better study habits. The staff at OCU is very helpful and the professors are fair to each student. For many years, I stopped trying to get my degree and was pleasantly surprised at how I was able to use my own life experiences to enhance my educational experience at OCU. The staff and professors helped me merge back into student life and learn how to get my educational goals back on track. Finally, I have been able to achieve an important goal in my life by obtaining my long awaited bachelor's degree."

"I attended OCU and I received my Degree in Business Management. I am currently in school again to achieve my BA in Psychology. I love this school and for the most part the professors are great. The professors work with you if needed and will allow extra time to complete your assignment depending on the urgency. I felt wonderful coming back to school after all these years of trying to achieve this degree. I think it's more of a goal for me and not so much depending on it for a career opportunity, however, if I needed my degrees for those reasons, I'm almost positive I will have no problem getting a decent job. I will encourage anyone who is interested in furthering their education to at least consider the Ohio Christian University because I truly love this school!!!!"

"I am like Fox Mulder, I want to believe, I really do. Overall I am very grateful for the education I received here, the teachers for the most part were good. My problems are with the administration in general. My advisor was AWOL for most of my time at OCU and when I called the answers center they defended her as being "busy". It sounded like either the person was incredibly lazy or overwhelmed not at all what I expected from the alammater of leadership expert John Maxwell. I had to practically harass them to enroll me in my final semester and I had to do the same to get the registrar to handle my financial aid properly. Overall I found the program to be mediocre at best and that's unfortunate considering how well the material and teachers were prepared."

"My experience at OCU has translated into success. I was three years into a career change when I enrolled into OCU’s AIM program. Within 22 months of enrollment I earned a BA in Business Management. Since graduating from OCU I have achieved real success. I have a great job where I am a Systems Administrator. I am paid well; travel extensively; bought a new house; and expanded my family. My customer base has grown from just under 100 customers to over 1100. The number one thing I gained from my experience at OCU is greater confidence. I recommend OCU’s AIM program to anyone who wants to complete their Bachelor's degree."

"I will finish my degree this month and have attended OCU for 2 1/2 years. All of my professors and everyone tha I have dealt with from the Registrar's office, library, financial aid, and all of my advisors (which changed a couple of times) were very friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with! I would definitely point out though that there isn't a whole lot of actual teaching that is provided from the university or professors - you learn from your books but there isn't any kind of teaching beyond asking questions. Like most other online universities, there are discussion forums you post in as part of your assignments which I suppose are supposed to provide that interactivity but most students post and reply to fulfill the assignment requirement and there isn't much interactive discussion. There are some awesome professors who participate in the discussions and ask you questions and that provides a more interactive learning environment but then there are those who do not even give any feedback on papers and assignments which then make me question if they even read your paper. It would be a superior university if they introduced innovative learning techniques like online video streaming of lectures or audio / video lectures for each classes. Anything more than what they have would make an improvement but I would bet that attending classes would be great here. My husband's a vet and I therefore my tuition was $250/credit and this is really a great deal!"

"School is corrupt all the way up. If you do sports hope you don't mind being called a moron. Wouldn't send my dog to this overpriced school, professors don't always teach well, that means the bible classes. More than just Christians go there, how is that since chapel is required?"
