"I loved being at Ohio State and the Ag campus felt like a close community. Some of the large first year science classes however, were too large and made it difficult to learn. I enjoyed all of the opportunities Ohio State provided me as far as extracurriculars and would highly recommend this school!"

"I started as a pre-vet student, moved more towards research, then ultimately did a 180 and decided to go into education. That has nothing to do with the quality of my education, however. In fact, it gives me a bit of an outsider view, having spent much of my final year reflecting on OSU's animal science program. It really is one of the most rigorous and rewarding programs on campus. I feel that it was about as safe as any other large school, and the only real hit it takes is diversity. To be fair, I took most of my classes on west campus, which is probably a fair bit less diverse than the rest of OSU. Overall I would highly recommend OSU to anyone interested in pursuing work with companion or livestock animals. Just make sure to expose yourself to main campus."

"They offer an excellent curriculum if you are considering applying to vet school. I can not recommend their undergraduate courses in organic chemistry though. I would take these courses somewhere else and transfer the credits.Several community colleges have agreements with Ohio State to accept transfer credits. Worth investigating if interested in saving money"

"Coming from out of state, learning to become a Buckeye was the hardest, yet easiest thing to do. Packing up and moving eight hours from where I called home was no small task. Figuring out a new city, a new house, and a new world of people did not prove easy, either! One thing made life a little bit easier: The Ohio State University. Classes are filled with diverse groups of individuals, each with his or her own story, making it easy to connect with others and build lasting relationships. Professors and teaching staff are what you expect from a university with a name as big as THE Ohio State University. Prepare to study, to fail and get back up, to be responsible for your actions, and to see the fruits of your labor. Classes will be tough, and OSU has earned a reputation for tear-jerking chemistry classes, so watch out! Honest effort will get you far in education and in life. Being thrown into a new world, a world full of Scarlet and Grey spirit, will show you what being a true Buckeye is all about. It's not the football, the money, or the land of Ohio - it's the community built upon passion for higher education."

"Loved my area of study , the college of agriculture although at a big university was a smaller family like group. Which made going to a city after growing up in a small town much easier to handle. The professors were easy to find when you needed help , my advisor was always willing to help with class choices and academic advice. My degree has helped me open my own agriculture facility which I absolutely love."
