"Although I am very early stages of this graduate program at Ohio University, I feel that it will prove to be a worthwhile investment when I finally graduate. It will be another great resume building experience to add to my life."

"The Speech-Language Pathology program at Ohio University is rather competitive in a way that makes you a better student and future professional. There are a few factors lacking at Ohio University that are beyond the control of the graduate program itself. Transportation is lacking and only limited for certain days of the week and times. Finding financial aid here is also another struggle. Like I said earlier, the SLP program is rather competitive, which also means so are the scholarships. Trying to attend Graduate School and trying to leave with as little debt as possible, is a struggle and the availability of scholarships here are sorely lacking."

"The pros of this graduate program are that you are able to receive a tuition waiver if you are offered an assistantship. The assistantships are great learning opportunities and will help you succeed in the job search. The coursework is a definite pro! I've learned necessary skills and theories for student development in the short time I've been here already. The cons are that the stipend is very little, and you often work much more than the 20 hours you commit to for your assistantship, which makes it hard to find another job."

"Ohio University was incredibly helpful with financial aid, which was a huge part of my ability to attend graduate school. I was offered a graduate teaching assistantship, which allowed me to create meaningful relationships with my professors as well as other grad students and under graduate students. I felt like I made a meaningful contribution to the experience and education of other students at OU, and that helped motivate me to do my best. My graduate program, Recreation and Sports Science, was more theoretical than I expected. Coming from a 'hands-on' education undergraduate degree, I was expecting more projects, activities, and outdoor pursuits. Despite my initial confusion with the graduate material, I was very satisfied with the theoretical background material that we covered in my time in the program. Mixing the graduate material with the 'hands on' classes that I taught as a graduate student teacher, I had the perfect mix of field classes and research. The only major con to the entire program, from my perspective, was the availability of my advisor/professors. They were all so focused on obtaining tenure, that they did not have much time to meet with students outside of class, or provide timely feedback on reports or projects. Regardless of that, I had an incredibly valuable experience and education at OU, and I would not trade those two years at OU for any other program."

"I am currently enrolled in the Masters in Healthcare Administration program at Ohio University. My experience thus far has been exceptional. Their program advisors are genuinely concerned with their students success. I received calls every term checking in to see if I had any concerns regarding my classes and updating me on my progress toward achieving my degree. The instructors for the program have real world experience that added depth and examples helping me to draw a close understanding of the subject. I only wish my undergraduate educational experience was as note worthy as my graduate studies."

"I'm currently enrolled in a "blended" graduate program at Ohio University. Most of my interaction with fellow students, professors and advisors is electronically based, but we also interact in person. This particular program is just what I had been looking for when researching various communication programs. Ohio University is committed to their long-standing traditions and educational excellence. I'm so happy with my choice of program and university."

"The Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State Univeristy is a tough program, but one that is well-respsected. Program grads often return to give back in the program, offering seminars, insight, and opportunities for internships. The program offers a look at business in today's world and provides a framework to understand how to succeed in that world. Although the work is very difficult, the hours reaquired grueling, this is likely the best decision I've made in regards to my education."

"I am in the Psychology PhD program at Ohio University. Some Pros of the program are the financial aid package is guaranteed for 5 years ( the package is more than enough to live off of in the Athens area). The faculty are world class and their research is cutting edge and exciting. They are also very accessible and interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged. Cons- The program is a bit too laid back in regards to its goals and deadlines for students, thus causing an atmosphere of almost nonchalance. Some of the courses are not as useful as they should be ( in other words, some of the more senior professors tend to teach the same thing over and over without keeping up with the latest findings in the field)."

"The graduate program in English at Ohio University is unique in the comradery it promotes within its students across the literature, creative writing, and rhetoric and composition concentrations. Situated on a truly stunning campus that rises like a quaint brick village from a sea of green foliage, Ohio University is a serene campus surrounded by a wild, fun, and funky city. Every professor I have met here has inspired me to follow my passion. They seem to truly believe that I can achieve my career goals and are eager to help me."

"Pros: The Latin American Studies Master's Program at OU is small, which allows for individualized attention. There is a lot of flexibility in terms of which classes to take and what kind of capstone (thesis, project, or comprehensive exams) option to complete. Cons: The switch from quarters to semesters as well as a change in program directors have created a great deal of confusion and some changes in terms of requirements that haven't always been clear. The city of Athens, in my opinion, is not a very positive environment. There is a very heavy population of smokers and the town feels quite run-down."
