Possibly the worst educational experience of my life, the program is disorganized and generally a complete mess. I attended school looking forward to learning how to be a professional nurse with expectations of gaining the tools to be successful; all while maintaining my christian values. I am leaving this school with none of the above. The program administration preach compassion and understanding but demonstrate NONE of these values. This school places the burden of all work on students while not providing enough resources or teaching to allow students to be successful. They will say anything to get you into the door and your money in their hand, then find reasons to fail or mark you as unsatisfactory in order to gain more money for students repeating classes. Going through this program the only thing that kept me going was the light at the end of the tunnel of leaving this place and never looking back. I will NEVER suggest this program to anyone, never recommend attending any classes at the Oak Brook site, and never think about taking any other advanced practice courses at this location again.

Do not go to the nursing program at Olivet! Teachers are very arrogant and they hate the students. They fail and kick out over 70% of the class. Everything is disorganized. FAculty will not answer emails. Many times they made us drive to class and our professor did not show. We would wait for hours with no information. If we leave when the professor does not show it is an unexcused absence and we have to make it up. Clinicals are disorganized and many times we arrived at hospitals to learn our paperwork was not completed by the university and we had to go home only to make it up during exam week. I had to write 20 - 30 pages of research topics a week and that left little time to study actual content. There is no accountability for treating the students fairly. Many of us filed grievances and went to higher level deans without assistance. They wait until they get your entire $55,000 and then kick many out the last semester. Run..... Find a more reputable program that is also reasonable.

Very disorganized. Instructors are mean and not helpful. I would not recommend this program at all. They whole online portion is a mess. The teachers do not know how to use canvas. The tests are poorly written and people get Screamed at by teachers. All the instructors care about is making money. No instructor actually cares. Terrible terrible program.

Olivet Nazarene University school treats students as an ATM machine. They use workplace discounts (10-20%) to lure students in. After admission, there is no one to help. Professors are there to make quick money. They are not willing to help with anyone or willing to direct you in the correct direction. Ask too many questions, you will get message written in CAPS telling you that they are mad at you. Many Professors do not reply to your questions nor answer phone calls. For all future RNS, do not come to this school. You will be paying to have all your money ripped off. You will wind paying way more for your degree than the discount they provide to attract you during admission. Go to another online school where you will be treated as a student and not as an ATM machine.

This is such a poor excuse for a master's program. I wish I would have read reviews and researched more about Olivet before taking that first class. I chose Olivet for the convenience of an online program and the discount from work. I am terribly let down by the experience I have had. The professors treat this like a side job, communication is poor, and you get no help in finding clinical sites. The little help I did receive turned out to be inaccurate. The professors are unaware with Olivet's policies, leaving the student to connect the dots for them. I went to an outstanding undergrad BSN program and expected nothing less from Olivet. I am too far into the program to transfer, otherwise I would. I feel like I am simply handing my money over to a school who treats me as another source of income. I am so upset with the program and am extremely upset that the hospital I work at even allows the promotion of this program on their campus. I will be sure to see that no other RNs are misguided by the false advertising. I am in class with some of the brightest hard working RNs, it is a shame this program fell short of all of our expectations. If you want to simply pay for your degree, Olivet is your school. Be ready for miscommunication, lack of support, lack of professionalism, and to be embarrassed of this horrendous program. I pray the school leaves us with something positive before graduation.

The MSN FNP program is an embarrassment to the nursing profession. Olivet is a disappointment on many levels. There is no support at all. You pay to teach yourself. The Deans do not care at all. I have already told anyone who asks about my program and to not waste their time even looking. They lie to you and tell you can work full time and then they tell you right before clinical it's expected you do not. You have some classes with zero interactions with he so called instructors for the whole 6 weeks. They do not help you find preceptors. And the course load is way to much. In 6 weeks you cover more content than in a 15 week course at other schools. You have no work life balance and they do not care! There are plenty of other programs out there. Do yourself a favor and avoid this one! All they want is your money.

There ABSN program is terrible, awful, and crap. Words cannot describe how they make all heir students suffer for nothing. The school is run as for-profit-institution so they are on a look out for money. They treat students like a machine to fill their bank accounts. Professor play favoritism with grading on who to pass and who to fail. Wouldn't recommend this school.

I completed my ABSN program here at their Oak Brook location. This place is completely disorganized and worst of the worse schools I have been to in my life. I would never recommend anyone to come here. Save your money and go somewhere else. I would recommend Chamberlain or Resurrection than this place.

Olivet has a wonderful community, but it does have a bubble-like feel to it. The professors are wonderful and care deeply about their students, but I did not feel particularly challenged academically while attending. There is a lot of financial aid available, but be aware that tuition increases quite a bit yearly.

I just graduated from Olivet Nazarene University's Accelerated Nursing program in Oakbrook this past Fall semester. I wouldn't recommend this program to the worst of my enemies. This program is a living nightmare.... it's completely disorganized and they are only interested in taking your money while making you go through a lot of unnecessary problems. They blame students for everything even though there staff is least interested in teaching or helping students. I made it to graduation only because of my determination and inner strength. Professors only care about getting their paychecks on time without doing any work especially the faculty in level 3 and 4. Whenever you have a question they made us run in loops. If you had a problem they played checkers with you while not providing you with the appropriate resources. I wouldn't recommend this program to anyone who wants to be nurse as you will spend most of your time crying about things in this program because and you will find that no one will help.
