All of the reviews about the ABSN program on here are 100% correct. This program is by far the worst decision I have made in my life. From the second you walk into the program they hound you for money and once they get it, they stop attending to you. The instructors in level 1 and 2 have experience TEACHING while the ones in level 3 and 4 do not. That is exactly why level 1 and 2 were a breeze. Since I started the program 3 teachers were let go because they were so incompetent and lacked all of the... Read More

Beyond horrible. Seriously cannot believe someone gave this place 4/5 stars. They must be delusional or a brown-noser which seems to be the only way to get through to the staff. Some instructors are really nice and willing to help you but once you hit level 3 and 4 it all changes. The profs could care less because they do not want you to succeed. I agree with the instructors and staff when they say do NOT work unless you are working behind a desk where you can actually study then go ahead and work.... Read More

I am only writing this review because I believe the only people writing reviews on this website have had a poor experience. I have loved my journey with Olivet but it does come with it's challenges. This is a web blended program which means everything is online expect exams and skills which you will go to campus for once or twice a week. This program is not for you if you cannot devote your time for 16 months. If you have to work full or part time, do not go to this program because you won't succeed.... Read More

Future students, please avoid this school at all costs. I was once like you and read the reviews on here and thought maybe the people who wrote the reviews were lazy. Those people were not lazy because I lived a nightmare for almost 16 months. They promise that you will be done in 16 months but that is a lie for many people. My original level started off with around 50 people and we are now down to 30. I think that says a lot about this program. Staff encourages you to go part time in the 3rd level... Read More

Please do not come to this school if you are latinno. You will be treated differently by the faculty and staff here. ABSN nursing program is very disorganized and they are professional about anything. You will be welcomed like a rockstar when they are trying to get you enrolled and the problems begin immediately after enrollment.

Worse experience ever. Very disorganized. The school does not help students succeed. It is a money pit that is their biggest interest. Do yourselves a favor save your money. Look at all your options im sure there are better options than ONU. Do not go here for FNP MSN

Worst school ever. People are complete hypocrites and bot true Christians like they proclaim. They lied about having a Paramedic aspect to their ABSN program. The program was solely to work around 24 hour shifts and once I started the course they acted as if it never existed. EMS & Fire students go find other programs. They hate us!

Probably the biggest SCAM of a school of all time. Please I repeat please RUN. Go to ResU or Chamberlain or one of the many other accelerated programs in the Chicagoland area. There is a reason why their logo is a cross in a burning flame, this place was complete hell for me. They claim to be a caring Christian University, but let me tell you, there is NOTHING holy about these people. This place is all about the tuition check and not remotely about preparing you to be the nurse you want and need... Read More

The Accelerated nursing bachelors program and FNP out of Oakbrook is poorly organized. Seemingly, some of the teachers hold prejudice against students of colors. I have openly heard a few rolling their eyes and openly gossiping about colored students here. They do not like colored students here. Avoid this terrible school at all cost.

I came from a failing school district high school in Illinois, received 85% of my tuition in scholarship for academics, and my first lab ever was in gen chem 103! The biology department is incredible, the least efficient class was organic chemistry, because the professor is an archaic genius. That being said, by the time I graduated I was able to analyze academic literature, perform lab techniques with confidence, and became friends with my professors. I recommend the bio department to anyone!

Disorganized at best! They promise the moon they deliver nothing! Please talk with current students prior to making your decision to attend any nursing program. Hopefully, the school is seeing the light and making some much needed changes to all levels of the Nursing programs.

Possibly the worst educational experience of my life, the program is disorganized and generally a complete mess. I attended school looking forward to learning how to be a professional nurse with expectations of gaining the tools to be successful; all while maintaining my christian values. I am leaving this school with none of the above. The program administration preach compassion and understanding but demonstrate NONE of these values. This school places the burden of all work on students while not... Read More

Do not go to the nursing program at Olivet! Teachers are very arrogant and they hate the students. They fail and kick out over 70% of the class. Everything is disorganized. FAculty will not answer emails. Many times they made us drive to class and our professor did not show. We would wait for hours with no information. If we leave when the professor does not show it is an unexcused absence and we have to make it up. Clinicals are disorganized and many times we arrived at hospitals to learn our paperwork... Very disorganized. Instructors are mean and not helpful. I would not recommend this program at all. They whole online portion is a mess. The teachers do not know how to use canvas. The tests are poorly written and people get Screamed at by teachers. All the instructors care about is making money. No instructor actually cares. Terrible terrible program.

Olivet Nazarene University school treats students as an ATM machine. They use workplace discounts (10-20%) to lure students in. After admission, there is no one to help. Professors are there to make quick money. They are not willing to help with anyone or willing to direct you in the correct direction. Ask too many questions, you will get message written in CAPS telling you that they are mad at you. Many Professors do not reply to your questions nor answer phone calls. For all future RNS, do not... This is such a poor excuse for a master's program. I wish I would have read reviews and researched more about Olivet before taking that first class. I chose Olivet for the convenience of an online program and the discount from work. I am terribly let down by the experience I have had. The professors treat this like a side job, communication is poor, and you get no help in finding clinical sites. The little help I did receive turned out to be inaccurate. I have already told anyone who asks about my program and to not waste their time even looking. There ABSN program is terrible, awful, and crap. Words cannot describe how they make all heir students suffer for nothing. The school is run as for-profit-institution so they are on a look out for money. They treat students like a machine to fill their bank accounts. Professor play favoritism with grading on who to pass and who to fail. Wouldn't recommend this school.

I completed my ABSN program here at their Oak Brook location. This place is completely disorganized and worst of the worse schools I have been to in my life. I would never recommend anyone to come here. Save your money and go somewhere else. I would recommend Chamberlain or Resurrection than this place.

Olivet has a wonderful community, but it does have a bubble-like feel to it. The professors are wonderful and care deeply about their students, but I did not feel particularly challenged academically while attending. There is a lot of financial aid available, but be aware that tuition increases quite a bit yearly.
