"The Pennsylvania State University is ranked 59th among the Best National Colleges in the US, and is the 14th best team nationally in football. With dozens of nationally ranked majors and being a prestigious, highly regarded university, the competition to be a Nittany Lion is unlike any other. We're ranked 10th in the Best Student Life in America, and 1st in the Best Student Life in Pennsylvania. It's a family, a home and a network that I'll forever hold close to my heart. The campus is among the most beautiful, with the falls and winters being unparalleled with any other, and the springs picturesque. Penn State football is notorious for its high energy and the nationwide connection it provides. Theres a saying that you can find Penn State family everywhere. The study of Psychology at Penn State has allowed me to network with some of the highest regarded mental health professionals in the nation, as well as participate in the best research opportunities. Unlike any other large university, Ive still managed to receive one on one attention and countless opportunities for help if needed. My professors have always treated me with respect and regarded me as a professional and a friend. Alongside the distinguished academics, the friends and memories I've made are unmatched. From the sporting events to the events like Arts Fest, Bryce Jordan Center concerts and THON, Penn State has always made those in the PSU family and friends of Penn State feel like they're at home, and it'll always be one of the best times of my life."

"I studied Psychology through Penn State's World Campus. The flexibility afforded by the online program cannot be overemphasized, but this does not mean that it was in any way "easy." In fact, having a history of traditional brick-and-mortar education, I can safely say that the online program was "no joke;" it was rigorous and thought-provoking, with no room for slacking off. There were multiple due dates each week, and weekly discussion posts that mandated references to assigned activities. The discussion posts were respectful and often necessarily challenged the reader to re-evaluate their previously-held assumptions and ideas. Group work was certainly possible with the online platform and helped to engage the student in real-life, virtual interactions. The downside of the online program was that some professors were not as easy to interact with as others and had less comfort utilizing the online platform."

"The Psychology program at Penn State is an exceptional one. The best part about this program is the array of different psychology classes you can take, including classes about clinical, counseling, abnormal, social, developmental, perceptual, and organizational psychology (plus many more). I would highly recommend Penn State if you wish to major in Psychology."

"The student experience at Penn State is unmatched. The football, Greek life, and student activities are second to none. The academics are good. Students are very capable and the curriculum was challenging. I felt that too many classes were taught by graduate students or professors who were more committed to their research. I had opportunities to participate in research settings, which was enriching and resume building. I would rate the school higher across the board, but they always seemed more interested in my tuition dollars than they were in my academics. Still the Penn State brand is strong and an excellent career starter. Being an alumni has gotten me many interviews and several jobs."

"Most of my Psychology professors were very enthusiastic and welcoming and the classrooms had a very comfortable atmosphere to them. While all classes were enjoyable to take, some definitely needed a lot of hard work and reading and writing to excel in the course. Most of the professors that I knew were very keen on being available for any type of advice and I recommend reaching out to faculty early on and keeping in contact with a chosen few."

"All and all, this was an excellent online program. If you are looking for an easy online degree, you will be sadly mistaken to realize that Penn State will not provide you with the degree. Although an online degree can be challenging, the instructors at Penn State are very understanding of life circumstances and will give you the benefit of the doubt if a crisis arises. I am a Veteran and their Veteran's Service department is outstanding. They always ensured that I had what I needed and I never had any issue with tuition payments. I feel as though I learned a lot during my education at Penn State and I am certainly proud to be a Nittany Lion."

"When it was time to complete my Bachelor's degree, I looked into Penn State's World Campus programs in Psychology. I was originally concerned I would miss out on things being a distance learner, but I felt so connected to the school community through World Campus! I was able to network with my professors and classmates. I believe I got a great education through Penn State!"

"Penn State is an excellent university. I was able to maintain my military life style and continue my education. Professors are rigorous yet extremely engaging and willing to help. This is definitely not a university for those seeking an easy degree. There are plenty of opportunities to interact with the faculty and other students. I was able to work in two different research labs and improved tremendously my skills and network. If you are willing to put in the work this is definitely an university to be proud of."

"Penn State is a phenomenal institution. It provided me with a place that I could combine my interests, explore opportunities beyond the classroom, and learn how to begin to tackle life's challenges. I was supported throughout by seeking out mentors and advisors who invested in their students. It's a large university which provides a wealth of opportunities and size is not a problem. You can make it as large or as small as you want. I would highly recommend Penn State. WE ARE PENN STATE!"

"Penn State has one of the largest alumni networks in the country, which is part of the reason I decided to go there. The connections you can make for jobs are very important, as Penn Staters like to help out fellow alums. It is a really big school, which has its advantages, but it is also up to the students to make the school seem small. It is possible (and helpful) to develop relationships with faculty by sitting up front, asking questions, going to office hours, and participating in research."
