****PLEASE READ THIS***** The school instructors for the most part were great, just do your work and your okay. However, Post University admin financial aid dept., your advisers WILL BE YOUR WORST EXPERIENCE!!! I was charged over $20,000 for a paralegal certificate and I already had my A.A. degree which was half that. When I did not get money for my books and had to cancel my classes (BEFORE I EVEN STARTED THEM) Post University still charged me for the dropped classes, though I had no books and didn't start class, told adviser ahead of time to drop classes. They did not do it, and told " You cannot get your certificate until you pay us the $2,000 for the drop classes!" Aren't they apart of the loan?? It took me over 18months to raise the $2,000 to finally get my certificate. You have more then five people complaining abut the same issue, I believe this is Fraud and I want to bring a class action suite against them, I am ready if you are. They are taking advantage of people because they know they can get away with it just like the current police state, no there is EVER held accountable for their actions, its always your fault. Make this school your last resort. We pay their biils and feed their family based on our enrollment, very arrogant staff/school. Again the instructors are pretty fair, but like every company/business these are all co-workers so they all stick together and watch everyone back.
Overall, I felt that the online education was good. All the professors were timely in their responses and more than willing to work with the hectic life of a Service Member; however, I can not express enough, how disgusted I am with the administration offices. I graduated in April, 2015 it is now four days away from November 2015 and I still have not received a diploma. When 90 days passed by the graduation date and my diploma had not arived, and I asked about it, they told me that there was a problem with the printers and there was a delay of a few weeks. Okay, no big deal. Several weeks later, no diploma, and I asked again. They said that it was sent out and I should be receiving it in no time. Okay, sounds good. Several weeks later, no diploma, and I asked again. They said that they were very sorry this was happening, and would look in to it. Okay... Several weeks later, no diploma, and no response about what happened to it, so I asked again. Now the replies I am getting are starting to get rude. But they inform me that my diploma was sent to the wrong address (wtf?!) and that they would have to re-print and send it out again. .... Several weeks later, no diploma, and I ask again. No one seems to know anything so they tell me that it has been re-ordered, that it will be out in the mail shortly and I should receive it within the week. .... .. ... Several weeks later, no diploma. This time I ask if I have been ripped off and I inform them that seeking legal counsel will be my next course of action. They claim it was mailed out on the 22nd of October 2015 and that is where it is at right now. Still no diploma....
Overall I enjoyed my experience at Post University. I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. My academic advisor was quite helpful throughout my time at Post. On numerous occasions he would stop what he was doing to assist me in any issues that I had. The classes were in deed challenging, but not to the extent of spending every moments of your free time working on your studies. Over my tenure at Post, I would take one class every eight weeks. Never did I have any difficulty getting responses back from the professors or find the professors incompetent. The majority of my professors seemed to care for their students and teach as best as they could through their computers. I would like to agree with some other reviewers. The financial departments seems like it’s a complete disaster. I would find myself submitting multiple documents to the department only to receive a call from them saying that I had to submit the documents again. This department is the single point of failure within this University. Minus the financial department, I enjoyed my time. I would recommend this University to others. As some of my fellow peers stated, by no means is this University an Ivy League school! In the end you decide what you can handle. If you desire a higher level of education go elsewhere, but if you are looking for a decent online program Post University may be a fit for you.
My experience as a student at Post University has been quite positive. The professors whom I have had for classes were available, responsive, and demonstrated a personal investment in my learning. While there were some professors who were better at this than others, every professor was helpful to some extent. Having the opportunity to attend an academic residency linked me with other students and provided a sense of the university. I highly recommend Post for working professionals who want an education. You must be willing to work for this degree. You will receive what you put into your Post experience. Do not expect professors or staff to hold your hand and do the work for you. Be an adult, study hard, and you will excel. SFC N
I am not sure about what everyone is writing about. I've been at Post for nearly three years and have never really had a problem. I'm no going to say that Post is a very prestigious school, it is what it is. However, I most certainly never experienced any of the issues mentioned in other reviews. If you read your financial aid packet, you'll understand how your education is being paid for. It's quite clear. Also, I never had any issues with my counselor or professors. My counselors have been very nice and my professors have all been very helpful and have been relativity easy on grading. I have a 3.98 GPA and I'm close to graduating. So far, good experiences.
I have been going to post for 3 years and I have enjoyed my experience. A lot of the other comments I have read on here talked about financial issues, yeah that is college its expensive. I feel that I have gotten what I put into this college and have been challenged. my GPA is 3.6 and I work full time. When I have had issues with a class or admin my counselor was available by phone or email. She emails me when her schedule is going to change and her hours. I feel that the staff have gone above and beyond for me, and if they do it for me then they do it for everyone.
THIS SCHOOL STAFF IS HORRIBLE! I've worked for the Financial Aid office @ Western Connecticut State University and I now work in a Financial Aid office for a technical school. I have never dealt with anyone as rude as the N. person in the Financial Aid Office. First of all without telling me that my counselor was switched they changed it. When I finally talked to her she was so nasty and rude to me! I've explained to her countless times that I only wanted to take out the Pell Grant and pay the rest of my bill in cash but she NEVER did it and then after waiting for MONTHS and MONTHS to actually do what I requested she then tells me that I can no longer get it due to the timing. It sucks because with my transfer credits I was so close to graduating and reaching a goal but she RUINED it for me. I've written the Dean, my advisor and nothing! I WOULD NEVER recommend POST TO ANYONE! Unless you want to be spoken to rudely, mistreated, taken for granted and treated like nothing.
What a joke. Don't waste your $. Terrible experience in every way. Took loan out for $3000 without me knowing until I checked credit report. Will never recommend this place to anyone! And the professor s are condescending and rude! HATE IT! These people are terrible
Thus place is a joke. The professors are ridiculous, the grading system is unreliable and the academic support is nonexistent. ..love to get your money with no actual academic support. Stay away. I'm sure there are many community colleges that help students more than here.
I am currently enrolled in my first graduate class and now going into week 3. Let me tell you honestly that this university is the worst I've attended. The professor currently teaching the Lifespan class is horrible. She is pompous, condescending and expects her students to learn on her level (SHE has a PhD by the way). She does not give proper credit for work but instead picks it apart looking for APA formatting errors and bases your grade on that. What a joke! I can't wait to get the hell out of this university because they clearly hire morons for instructors. Save your money and stay away from Post. You will never regret not going there believe me.
