"Prism in Cherry Hill NJ can be a better place to learn if they change leadership. The campus director, D.W. (DON), and B.K. (ADON), who are the lead administrators, are not engaged in the students learning especially for the evening program or the wellbeing of the student/staff relationship. They are more concerned to clock out by 4:30p but do not hang around long enough to recognize the needs of the program. Students and staff need to be more proactive in fighting for a good learning environment which can retain quality staff. ACCET and the BON is being lied to because the internal issues of the school are being swept under the rug and school leadership is not being held accountable for such a lacking education program for future nurses. Corporate and HR would rather see a constant turnover of decent staff rather than exam the internal problem in the DON office. There is lots of postings for urgent hire of instructors presently and no consistent qualified staff, even if the new hires fill the void which they have no clue on how to facilitate the course/clinical environment because admin does not make time to properly train them. The adult nursing students are being slighted to gaining a decent education with qualified instructors. Qualified staff that genuinely care about the students are resigning because leadership does not support them in a positive way and are not appreciated. However, the environment at Prism Cherry Hill is toxic, hostile, and unprofessional from the administrators mentioned above. The NCLEX rate for the day and evening programs have dropped because the curriculum and lesson plans are not being evaluated, followed, or revised to meet the needs of the students from start of the beginning term to the last term nor are the students consistently being well informed and equipped about the proper resources for a successful learning environment. When Ms. Twizz was there, she was the go-to person in the evening. She was informative to all the students, a wealth of knowledge, caring, engaging, supportive, a good teacher and mentor, disciplined, approachable, impactful, inspiring, and fair. She was one of few who you definitely learned from, who took time to know all the students and with all the students, who was no-nonsense and ran disciplined classes in which every respected her and she them. Since she left, the environment has been negatively impacted and the environment is out of control because there is no one to relate to, students are not respecting staff and staff do not respect the adult students. Besides, for the amount of money that the program gains and the sacrifices the students survive, the graduation is limited and pathetic. Furthermore, each term students are being pushed through to pass to the next term without remediation or accountability to retain the learning and skills, which these students lack the effort to apply themselves."

"The program was okay, the instructors and staff where great and good hands on experience. And after I passed my NECLX Mr. T worked with me every step of the way and even check on me after I started working to make sure I was satisfied. Over all my experince was a good one but to each its own."

"Through The school I was able to become an Licensed Practical Nurse, the teachers I had where caring and engaging and knowledgeable. I passed my NECLX the 1st time taking and with in a few days Mr. Jones set up 4 interviews for me and I was working within 2 weeks of me passing. And the follow up was great, to make sure I was ok or to see how I did on my interviews and always offering assistants. The graduation could be a little better. But other than that, great instructors and great staff."

"If you want to go to a school where you pay 27 thousand dollars for time, not education then Prism is the place for you. This school is HORRIBLE. In my time at Prism, they've had 3 D.O.Ns & no teachers. And then the teachers they do have does not know how to teach at all. Their only requirement for a teaching position is to be an RN (I've seen the job posting on fb). My class PN25 went TWO terms with no teacher. But you were required to just sit in class and do nothing because your hours that you are there are more important than the education. That's all that they care about is time. You will constantly hear the phrase "adult learners" as they treat you like children. You will constantly hear the word "professionalism" from the most unprofessional people ever. There is no protocol as they change the rules whenever they feel like it. For an example to pass the green light exam, you use to need a score of 70.5, but now you need a score of 73.5 because the school is on the verge of being closed down, so they're trying to put the pressure on the students. Bottom line, SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Not at Prism Career Institute."

"Prism Career Institute has a fairly good program with a curriculum that gives you well enough knowledge to help you succeed on the NCLEX-PN and as an entry level nurse. The day program is 12 months and the evening program consists of 15 months. You really have to help yourself when it comes to making sure you understand each subject/class since the program is pretty fast-paced. I would recommend Prism to anyone willing to focus and quickly earn their PN license."

"I started classes at Prism Career Institute(Philadelphia Campus) for the Practical Nursing Diploma program on 4/2015. I was terrified, I had been out of school for over 20 years and felt I would not be able to keep up with the demand. I was enrolled by Matt, an enthusiastic enrollment specialist who ensured me that I could do it. Despite all the negativity I've heard about Prism, I have always been the type of individual who believes you get out what you put in. There were times I wanted to give up and quit but I kept on chucking. I had the BEST teachers and clinical instructors who cared about my success, making themselves readily available if I needed tutoring or just a listening ear. As of 8/2/16, I am a LPN and passed my Nclex PN Boards on the first try!!!!! The best 15 months of my life. I highly recommend Prism to anyone who is looking to have a career and not just a job. Sidebar: This is NOT a paid testimony!!!! #truelifestory, #realfacts, #seeforyourself #motivatetodominate Thanks Prism....You Rock!!!!"

"My prism journey began when i was giving my cousin a ride to do her intake. As I sat there waiting for her I said to myself "you might as well sign up and go to school because your not doing anything. That choice right there became the best decision of my life. Going to school and becoming a lpn has change me in so many ways. I learned a lot from my instructors. I will highly recommend this school for any one just thinking about going to school."

"I am a wife and mother of three children. I worked for a major weight loss company for about 8 years and came home everyday feeling unfulfilled. I decided to began my career in nursing and enrolled into Prism Career Institute. I can say that was one of the best decisions I could make. The Instructors in both the classroom and clinical setting proved to be a valuable resource in this industry. I graduated 2nd in my class and passed state boards, with a tremendous amount of support. I have a great rapport with my instructors and still keep in touch to this day. I feel that Prism gave me the skills that I needed to go out and be a successful entry level nurse. Career services at Prism is the best! After passing boards Marlene worked with me at my pace to help me find a job that was right for me. I know have two jobs in a rewarding field with endless opportunities for growth. Prism is more than an learning institution but rather like a family. I would recommend anyone that has a desire to become a nurse that they start with Prism."

"Terrible, waste of time. Most of the so called teachers and clinical instructors either have no idea what they are doing or they are the most miserable people you will ever run into. "Clinical instructor" if that's what they want to call her was terrible, rushing you around expecting you to do things you have not been taught, just stands there and looks at you and gives no advice or direction on what to do, very rude in front of patients, just miserable all the way around. Clinical days filled with nothing but drama because of the terrible "instructor". Trust me you can't learn in this kind of environment ! Beware of this "school" think twice before signing up! I wish I had just gone for my RN at the community college. Would not even give one star if that was an option!"
