"I love Purdue Global. I like how administrators contacted you often so you wouldn’t have to worry about finances, scheduling, what classes to take next, etc. I also liked my professors and how thorough they were with classes. I just didn’t like how I was all online because I wanted on campus experience and be able to do hands on labs for the particular field I’d be in."

"Purdue University is a fabulous school and the idea of being able to take classes on-line in an accelerated format worked for my education goals. The professors and instructors were all very informative and well educated in the course of instruction they taught. I wanted to attend Purdue University Global for the recognition of the school and it's reputation within academia."

"I initially learned about Purdue Global because the company I work for offered a certification through the university. My company paid for 98% of the tuition and I completed four ten-weeks sessions with a 4.0 GPA. I then applied for a scholarship for the bachelor's program through my company and was accepted. After learning about the experiential learning program, I decided to pay my own tuition for it, and was awarded nearly 40 credits upon completion. The ExcelTrack program at Purdue was not covered by my employer so I applied for student loans and completed my degree within less than two years of starting. This program was amazing. It took a lot of hard work, a lot of essay writing, and a lot of discipline but I earned my bachelor of science degree in a very short period of time and for less than $15,000. My experience at Purdue Global was nothing short of miraculous. After feeling like an educational failure for the past 35 years, I finally completed something that I had desperately desired. The professors at Purdue Global were, almost without fail, helpful, responsive, and encouraging. I graduated on December 23, 2022, Magna Cum Laude. If you are able to work independently, follow directions, and consistently turn out decent essays, you can complete your degree very quickly and very economically. I also took individual regular courses and the pace was incredibly doable for me. I so enjoyed my experience at Purdue Global, that I am currently enrolling for the MBA ExcelTrack program. I expect to complete my Master's degree in less than a year. The critical reviews I have seen here seem to be primarily the fault of the students who are writing them. If you can't follow directions, read the rules, or understand the expectations of secondary education, that is on you. There were no surprises as far as what I was required to do as a student and plenty of timely communication if I failed to meet a requirement or deadline. As far as gatekeeping on the ExcelTrack program, that is not entirely accurate. Yes, you are required to wait for a grade on each individual class assignment before you can go on to the next module, but you can take as many different classes as you want each semester. I took four to five. So when one module was turned in for one class, while I awaited that grade, I could work on a module from another class. There was no downtime for me. My goal was to complete 3-5 modules per week and I never had to wait to continue. You are required to complete the Capstone as a separate and individual ten-week class but that allows time to focus on the somewhat expanded requirements of that course. I can proudly say that I am a graduate of Purdue University Global and would (and have) recommended it to any prospective adult student who is ready to finally get their degree."

"Since attending from the beginning the enrollment process to graduation, everything has been spot on with how easy it is to enroll your classes to every professor that I have learned from, and the accountably that they put on you as a student on ensuring that what you do and what you turn in is up to the school standards."

"This school was so easy to navigate in my classes and even making sure they had the program that I wanted. Their websites are easy to use and maneuver. All my professors were nice and knew what they were talking about. I feel like I didn't learn anything that I did not need to. The assignments and discussions were always well written and explained well. There pricing is also fair. I will be going back here for my Masters next year."

"Officer of the registrar for returning students isn’t helpful. Nothing like trying to further your education with someone who doesn’t know answers to basic questions. Student advisors stop advising when you hit sophomore level, even when you reach out to them. To think, you need guidance and they are unable to guide you because they don’t know say the masters side but you can’t talk to a masters SA unless you have enrolled completely in said masters program. I’m two weeks from graduating, have no career opportunity guidance, I still have questions regarding furthering my studies, and I haven’t heard from a single advisor in the masters program even after a 3 hour call in and bouncing around. Professors for the most part have been great, they back end office of PUG is not great."

"I have done my Associates and Bachelors degree through this University. Since the time I have started I have been on two European rotations, multiple field cycles, and different long term trainings in different locations, and had a baby. The work load has been manageable (with proper planning and time management). The instructors will work with you if something comes up. I highly recommend earning a degree from this university."

"Transitioning to Purdue University Global was exactly what I needed in my life. It allowed me to work more and to continue my education while deployed. The faculty was incredibly flexible during my deployment schedule and allowed me to work ahead when possible, and to catch up when needed. The flexibility offered during the courses was incredibly helpful when working overnight or when traveling for work or for the military. I found the content to be engaging, the coursework appropriate in difficulty and volume, the material interesting, and the instructors very knowledgeable. I did not have a single instructor who would not answer any questions I had or help me when I needed it. Every instructor that I had wanted to see each student succeed and ensured that any questions or concepts were addressed in front of the entire class so that everyone understood the information. The setup for the discussion boards made it easy to connect with other students on a personal level, and the seminars were fun and informative. I found the resources such as VMock incredibly helpful for creating a rock-solid resume. The Purdue Global Library helped me immensely in finding appropriate and helpful resources for assignments. I have recommended Purdue University Global to others in the military or for those who work in law enforcement and want to continue their education due to the flexibility offered."

"My Purdue University Global journey was excellent, and allowed me to apply knowledge and experience I had gained in my career to my experience in the classroom. I would recommend PG to anyone, especially full time workers and parents. They offer an excel track program that is completely online. The schedules are flexible and the workload is manageable."

"Attending Purdue Global has been a fantastic experience, I have had my ups and downs but overall the experience has been worth it. I was challenged and inspired by the professors who instructed each course and had great interaction with my fellow students. I was a bit late getting started and finishing my college degree program but it didn't matter I was motivated to complete my degree for personal and professional reasons and Purdue Global goal facilitated that for me. I have learned that it is never too late to continue your education and strive to always be better and improve yourself. Thank you for helping me complete this milestone in my life and I am looking forward to future classes."

"Purdue University Global has been an amazing experienced. All professors are understanding when it comes to the hectic military life. When I first enrolled that was my biggest fear that I would fall behind due to the last minute "to dos" within my job in the military. If a question was ever asked either to the professors or to different departments, they were always quick to respond. Professors always gave their students their personal cell phone numbers making it easier to reach them when unexpected things occurred."

"Purdue offered me a tremendous program that allowed someone like myself who works full time the option to successfully achieve a degree I have been pushing off. The Excel track was fantastic and every conversation I had with Purdue and their staff was top-notch. I intend to pursue my Masters's Degree through them."

"I really enjoy the online format with live interaction and explanation from the professors and chatting with other students. I have read some of the negative reviews and they make no sense. I am an older student finishing up my BS of Criminal Justice/Homeland Security in April, 2020. The workload is manageable, but one has to get into a rhythm and stick with it. Stick to a schedule and you'll be fine. They also understand that life and work happen and that sometimes they interfere. As long as you communicate with your professor, they will work with you if life or work is making your assignment late. They can grant you an extension without penalty for a day or two extra to complete. All my professors have been very knowledgeable and personable. I liked the format of Purdue so much that I actually came back from Penn State to finish up my degree with them. Additionally, I will start in June with Purdue on my Masters in Homeland Security/Emergency Management. I highly recommend Purdue Global and even referred my daughter who will be starting her Paralegal in January 2020!"

"I received my BS Degree in Criminal Justice from this institution when it was still Kaplan University. Like many others, I'm married, have two kids, and worked a full-time job while I attended classes. Make no mistake, it wasn't easy. But I was determined to complete my degree. I ended up graduating with honors and a 3.95 GPA. This, coming from someone who struggled for 10 years to earn an Associate's Degree because I didn't take school seriously and constantly failed out of class. You'll find many people who'll make negative remarks about this institution. They do so because they are the ones who didn't take their education seriously. I had to learn the hard way that if you do you assignments and read the material, it's nearly impossible not to get an "A" in the class. Obviously, you can see from my GPA that I ended up with a "B" in one of my classes. But that was because I didn't turn a paper in on time. Had I done so, I would have graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Is it hard work? Yes. Can it be done? Absolutely. Like anything else in life, you get what you put into it. My wife is now attending this same University and she's doing very well. Her concentration is in psychology. Like me, she has found that as long as you do the work, it's hard not to earn an "A" in the class. I nearly went back to earn a post-bachelor certificate in addictions counseling. Not because I need to, but because I thought it might be fun. The only reason I didn't was because I remembered how much work it was the first time around and I felt I had missed enough of my children's childhood already. This is a great school. If you put the work into it, it'll take you wherever you want to go. I was able to use my degree to get me into law school without any issues. Take your education seriously (regardless of where you're going) and it'll take you anywhere you want to go."

"I am also surprised by some of the reviews for this school. These complaints must be based on location because our local office in Iowa is excellent to work with. I obtained my AAS Degree in Criminal Justice when the school was Kaplan University. The school had a specific adviser for military personnel. This adviser had all my GI Bill stuff squared away and experienced no delays. I am now taking my capstone course and will complete my BA degree in Criminal Justice at the end of this semester. Most professors were decent and had direct experience within their fields of study. Some were terrible, but the majority were easy to work with. Over time the program will start to feel repetitive by doing the same thing over and over. They all require three discussion posts, seminar participation, journal entries, and several writing assignments. This program is big on APA formatting, which I feel is a waste of time. Some professors are all about APA formatting and will doc large amounts of points for not following APA guidelines. Other professors don't care as long as the assignments are completed. Those were my only complaints about the coursework itself. Time management is critical and you have to stay on top of your tasks. The units go by very quickly and is a slippery slope if you fall behind. Overall this program was a success for me and would recommend it to other members of law enforcement and military."

"I am pretty surprised by some of the comments and ratings. I began my associates degree in 2016 (through Kaplan) in CJ and completed the at then went right into my Bach and finished that by 2017 (Perdue Global). I found that the portfolio program offered for transferring job experience and prior learning into credits was amazing. It was a very tough class, but I saved over 20K by the end of it since I was very deep into the CJ field. I even moved to Canada and my credits transferred and both of my degrees were recognized as honours degrees. I can see how the financial aid piece can be confusing for people, but that comes with any university, Overall, I was surprised and very happy about my experience with the university and will begin my Masters in February in public administration,"

"Purdue Global doesnt not change the Kaplan employees. The financial aid department has no idea what they are doing. My husband attends an online college that is leaps and bounds above Purdue Global. With the prices they charge they should be much better than what they are. They should be able to generate a refund, but instead they sit on it until the last second of the last day and sometimes, they don't even get it out on time. They get paid."
