I learned about time management and planning, and it also helped me in my current position at work to be more proactive and not reactive. There was one professor that I had that could have been a little more patient when it came to responding to emails. But overall great program. "I have now completed both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree with Purdue Global. The courses prepare you with a base line of knowledge in the criminal justice field. The courses at the Master's Level are definitely more focused on conducting applied research. I am active duty military and tuition assistance covered every penny of my Bachelor's degree. The Master's degree was a different story with TA covering $850 a class and me covering the other $850. All books for the Bachelors were digital and included with the class. The books for the Master's ranged from $50 to $200 depending on the topic and unfortunately I attended during several class revisions which led to incorrect syllabus information and the wrong books being ordered from the provided library. Course work is tough. This is a college not high school and it is online which means you are expected to conduct yourself as an adult and stay on track. The reviews I have read seem to be complaints about work load and time. People this is the adult world. I started college after 16 years in the career field and this program is perfect. The only complaint I have is the financial services. On 6 separate occasions over 3 years I was blocked from classes or received e-mails stating I was missing something from my documents to start a class. Every time the document was uploaded and pending review or the instructions I was given by one financial aide consultant contradicted the second interaction and caused a delay. Once all complete I took on $19,000 in student loans to complete the Master's in a year and a half. Highly recommend this school!!"

"I love the layout for the classes compared to other online programs. They have one hour seminars which gives you direct professor access. This is huge in a graduate degree. The professors are very helpful with getting your assignments done and realize you are working adults and most likely have families as well. I finished my bachelor's online and will have my masters done in march. I recommend this place to anyone who works full time as this really is the way school is moving to for graduate levels school."

"I went to Kaplan University for 4 years and enjoyed my advisor, most of my teachers, and the work, but once Purdue took over and I started my graduate program, I have become very unhappy with the service. Each of the graduate classes are 6 weeks long and expect you to do the same format as with the undergraduate degree, which was fine....unitl...I had my first two advisors never contact me and then a third one was assigned to me ( of which I knew nothing about) and the first thing she did was change my schedule without letting me know why she was doing this. I had already paid for my book and was ready to go. After about a week before the class started I noticed she had changed my schedule so I emailed her and told her this was not the way to do things, that I had not given her permission to change anything about my schedule or anything else for that matter and she better put it back. I received a quick email stating the class had been dropped and that was it. I was put into another class. II persevered since everything else seemed to be fine. But the professor's seemed as if the students bothered them and did not answer questions as they should have. Again I persevered. This past 6 week class was absolutely the worst! The so-called professor claimed to have taught this class for 10 years....what a joke! He did not answer questions through emails. NO, when one would ask questions he simply would send a copy of the syllabus. I am a 4.0 student and always have been and this moron is giving me 33's on most of my work without having to explain his self! I reach out to my old undergraduate advisor and I am told what he is doing is within the legal confines of his job and there is nothing I can do about it. Now here I am pissed off about this when I find out that I still haven't received my financial aid. Now mind you, it is usually disbursed by the second week of my classes and I am in the 6th week. I know they will get their money but the overages are what I live off of! I have called more than 4 times, emailed 4 times and I am still getting the run around. I am being told as of the first phone call that it will take another 3 to 5 business days. So I said fine. The second call promoted the response of another 7 to 10 business days. The third call promoted 3 to 10 business days. I was also told that because of the July 4th holiday and the fact that they were running behind it would take some time. I was also given the excuse that they were updating their systems. My disbursement was suppose to go into effect on June 8th...its now July 12th!!! I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone!!! As soon as I can get out I am going back to a traditional college."
