Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric-Mental Health)

Purdue University Global is fair at best. I feel unsupported, especially by my clinical manager who is supposed to help secure clinical sites. She has been nothing but a hinderance to finding sites. In addition, I was delayed graduating by a term because my clinical advisor didn't register me for a class. Some professors are great; others, not so much. Overall, if you're looking for a quick way to complete a degree and don't care about the most sound education, then this school is for you. If you... Read More

The experience provided by Purdue.Global allowed me to achieve my degree promptly with relevant materials and instruction. One possible area of improvement lies in the seminar approach which should provide more interactive or hands on opportunities.

The good: Most of the professors are easy to talk to and are pretty good about answering questions. The seminars have mostly been fun and educational. Submitting assignments is pretty easy to do in their system. The not so good: Some professors do not answer your questions correctly when you ask. Had to ask at least 2 times to get them to answer exactly what I have asked. The text books are over 10 years old! Be prepared to have to learn all over again when you venture out into the real world as... Read More

I had a great experience for the most part...there was a couple of courses where the instruction was less than ideal. I have recommend Purdue Global to many friends and family. I loved the virtual simulations, but would prefer not to use the headset.

My first advisor/ counselor was horrible. When I was struggling with the excel track, she would dismiss my concern and the tutors would tell me they are unable to help me because it’s “self taught”. I switch to tradition track and it was way better, was assigned a new advisor and things were wayyyy better. Didn’t even need the tutors because the instructors were so helpful

My time with Purdue Global has been interesting, to say the least. I spent most of my degree working full time, and at the end, it became 50+ hour workweeks as I worked two jobs while going to school full time. The coursework was typically manageable, though I often found myself spending more time on it than anything else. I was there to learn, and I prioritized it over everything else. Something that one of my teachers once said rings true: "Right now, you're missing out on the holidays because... Read More

Degree: Computer and Information Science

If you have little to no technical knowledge, you will probably learn something new. If you have a background in computers / IT you will learn very little. No real exams, just forum posts that everyone just copy and pasts from ChatGPT, no real interaction with anyone. Assignments are very easy, and don’t teach much aside from how to write in APA format that you will never use in a real job. No real hands on experience, it’s all writing papers on how things are done with old technology that’s almost... Read More

Overall satisfaction to Purdue Global University from inquiry stage, application process, acceptance, enrollment, every term, clinical placement and now I am almost done. My utmost gratitude to Purdue Global, hence I was able to make 5 of my younger friends enroll for their MSN FNP and MSN PHNP from 2023. All the best, more power to the Faculty and whole Purdue family.

I love the online portion of the school but having to do clinicals when working full times as a nurse is hard to do. The staff was very companionate, willing to work with you, and caring due to losing family members while in school. I would love to continue my education with them but the cost is to high for me at this moment.

I enjoyed my time at Purdue Global. Every person that I spoke with went above and beyond to help me. I also learned a lot and am graduating feeling confident in my skills. Some instructors were more laxed than others, but overall, I feel that I received a great education.

My experience at Purdue Global has been one of the best decisions that I have made. The online learning in my opinion is better than in person learning. The Professors really care about what they are teaching, the care about the students, and they really enjoy their job. Of course there has been some struggles throughout my four years at the university and some doubts of whether I could make it through, but the resources at the university are there to help you in any way that you need. I am proud... Read More

Largely the experience has been positive and a journey that I have enjoyed. There were pockets that were challenging to manuever such as paying or obtaining reimbursement of a fee paid, CS212 Professor presented many opportunities that drove unnecessary hurdles for the whole class, and the advisor team were not as knowledgable at times to address questions. Again, these were corner cases that can not be leveraged to generalize overall experience.

The school was enjoyable and geared towards the adult learning. The instructors were well versed and knowledgable about the coursed they reached. I was taught so much and was able to land a job in the field that I wanted. The school is accredited by the HLC, which accredits the university where I work now. My degree was mailed out just a few weeks after completing. And employers have been reaching out for opportunities when they see the name Purdue. Before staring, I read some negative reviews and... The instructors, content, and Professional Studies degree option made the learning worthwhile. However, it is difficult to sell the Professional Studies major to employers who do not understand what the degree entails, making it difficult to get hired. It isn't easy to get hired at the school or elsewhere due to the competitive nature of the workforce. Part of me regrets going to grad school due to the cost and feeling of being unemployable, while the other part of me enjoyed all of my courses and... Read More

This school is one of the absolute worst universities I have even been to. Their entire finance team should be fired. If you attend this school, especially if you are military and using your TA or 9/11 bill, you need to be on top of your finances weekly. This school has gone against my wishes and made me waist hours upon hours on the phone with their finance team because they opened a loan under my name without my consent and without notifying me, used that loan money instead of my tuition assistance...
