Degree: Liberal Arts

The instructors, content, and Professional Studies degree option made the learning worthwhile. However, it is difficult to sell the Professional Studies major to employers who do not understand what the degree entails, making it difficult to get hired. It isn't easy to get hired at the school or elsewhere due to the competitive nature of the workforce. Part of me regrets going to grad school due to the cost and feeling of being unemployable, while the other part of me enjoyed all of my courses and... Read More

This school is one of the absolute worst universities I have even been to. Their entire finance team should be fired. If you attend this school, especially if you are military and using your TA or 9/11 bill, you need to be on top of your finances weekly. This school has gone against my wishes and made me waist hours upon hours on the phone with their finance team because they opened a loan under my name without my consent and without notifying me, used that loan money instead of my tuition assistance... So far, I have had a delightful experience with my studies, despite feeling disappointed with the Capstone class and instructor. However, I still find the overall experience to be fulfilling. I would like to express my gratitude to all of the instructors who have helped me grow my knowledge up to this point.

Degree: Human Services

Purdue Global provided the access to another degree, Bachelor of Science in Human Services. As a full-time employee working day shift, it was not possible to attend an in-person program. Purdue Global received the recommendation of former professors as a viable option. As a transfer student, Purdue Global eased the transition from Ivy Tech. I was pleased with the transfer credit. Purdue Global's bachelor program gave robust coursework and excellent support throughout the journey.

As a full-time employee, this school provided the flexibility and autonomy for me to succeed. When I first enrolled I had been out of school for 13 years after received my Associates in Animal Science. My previous experience in school was traditional with on-campus classes, multiple books per course, and reliance on scantron tests. It was a shock to my system to have everything online and it scared me at first. After the 2nd week of attending, I realized how much better this format fit with my lifestyle... Read More

Overall my experience has been enjoyable throughout my four years of attending Purdue Global. I enjoy the virtual environment and the classes that are offered. However, I do think the class courses could be improved upon through additional courses. This would greatly help students better prepare for future job opportunities and other classes that incorporate or build upon certain concepts. For example, a dedicated class for students to learn and understand GitHub content would greatly benefit many... Read More

As a working mother, I thought school wouldn't be possible for me while still getting to spend time with my family. Pressure global not only made it possible, but easy as far as balancing my school life, work life, and family time. Bring able to not only achieve my dream, but to show my kids that anything is possible, has meant the world to me. Pressure global made it all possible. I received my 4 year degree completely online and yet I am having the worst possible time attending a certificate program. Every time I reach out to my advisor I feel like I'm emailing the wall. I sent an email about my concerns over my grades and I am still waiting for a reply. If I had known what this school was like I wouldn't have ever enrolled. As far as self paced it is ok and the work load is not too hard but the school has crazy unrealistic expectations for their students. I would say that... Read More

Purdue Global is often scrutinized for having for profit origins. Many of the pundits investigate and report on the business relationship aspect leaving out the details that matter. Purdue University governs and controls Purdue Global. The polices that control the main campus control the online campus. And while I will concede that - as with any merger or acquisition - Kaplan's online infrastructure is still present as anyone would expect just 5 or 6 years after a new owner takes over, none of this... This has been a great school. I really enjoyed most of the instructors and the entirely online format, which meshed well with working full time. My one thing to note with the online format is that there are weekly seminars that you must attend or watch and submit a sort of review of. I really recommend this school if you're a self-starter and are good at working on your own, because the advisors weren't the best. Otherwise, the workload was manageable, the knowledge useful to my chosen career and... Read More

Horrible. Greedy staff that doesn’t send out notice of “policy updates”. Careless student advisors who only help when it’s convenient for them. Don’t answer questions or enroll you in classes with enough notice to adjust schedules then you’re penalized. They’ll happily harass you with hundreds of useless spam emails though while you wait for a response to your questions or concerns. Lied to me on multiple occasions, discriminated against me on multiple occasions. Now I’m the one in trouble because... Read More
