For those with extremely negative review, it is what you make of it. If you blame the the University for charging money or having any negative experience, perhaps you didn't really pay attention to details and then come up with some assumption that it's their fault. Know what you are getting into and don't blame them for your own action. I don't know any university who will not charge a dime. For the guy who have issues with the courses such as Cultural Diversity: I hate to tell you this, but if... Read More

Quality Online Education

Degree: Accounting

I graduated in 2018 and found the quality of the education that I received to be on par if not better than undergraduate degree I received from a traditional brick and mortar University. The professors were all really knowledgeable and willing to help their students succeed, and the course curriculum was challenging and applicable to real world issues. You will be required to do a lot of writing, but that should be expected for any college level program.

I am sorry to see so many negative comments. I am 3-terms in with Purdue Global and have had nothing but good experiences overall. They accepted a large number of my transfer credits, they have a partnership with my employer to provide full tuition, Ive never had any challenges with the Financial Aid department in processing my tuition reimbursement or receiving my scholarship funds, and my academic advisor has been thoroughly helpful. I am expected to graduate July 21, 2020. While my job is not... Read More

Don’t. Sounds like a good “deal.” They are NOT flexible as if this is a badge of honor. Modules and assignments were mismatched, rubrics sometimes not even applying to the assignment, but it’s your job to still figure it out! Leadership is unorganized, and upper grad faculty are there to show you how “smart” they are, and how “little” you are. This is absolutely the number one statement I could make! Inflexible for working families, yet one of their selling points is flexibility with working. I didn’t... Read More

And then was told oh we thought you were in another program. However. a month prior I received a financial aid award letter with the correct program. The post about Purdue maxing out aid is Not True.

Degree: Business

I would just like to correct the post about Purdue University Global only maxing out Federal Aid, as the Associate Degree programs have a tuition cap of $22,500, and the Bachelor's Degree programs are capped at $45,000.00. I would also like to say that I learned very useful and applicable information from nearly every course I completed. The course work is relevant and challenging, far more challenging than the courses I took at Clemson. (which is ranked only 16 places under Purdue University) Not... Read More

I think that people have this idea that online learning is easy, and that students are given questions that google can answer. I just want to clarify that this is not the case at all. Nearly all of the work you are required to do, consists of papers and presentations that are all put through Turnitin analysis, where any score of 25% or more is an automatic fail, and subject to a plagiarism investigation and potential expulsion.

It is not an easy accomplishment and anyone who earns a degree from Purdue University Global should be taken seriously in circles of industry and academia.

Like any school, however, there are some areas that could improve, and for Purdue University Global, it would be in how communicative and informative advisors are. They should give much more information prior to students having to search or ask, and they should definitely make decisions about the student's academic path with the students and not for them. Other than that, I had a very positive and rewarding experience.

This was the worst experience that I ever had with a school. I really don't have any good to say about this school, the instructor s or my experience. I wasted my time signing up for this school. I withdrew after a couple of weeks and will continue at another school. Please please please look at other schools.

I felt like the professors were quite knowledgeable in their fields, the subject matter was challenging, and the course work rigorous. I also felt like I saved quite a bit of money by enrolling in the online program, as opposed to enrolling in an on-campus program, with room and board charges. I'm now employed in the technology sector, and I owe that to Purdue, my professors, and everyone who helped me along the way. Thank you, Governor Mitch Daniels and the entire Purdue staff and faculty.

Purdue University Global is a complete disgrace and embarrassment to the entire Purdue University System. The admissions team has zero integrity and will sell you this dream of being a "Purdue University" student...and being in same company of people like Neal Armstrong and Drew Breeze. Conflating Purdue University and Purdue University Global is unethical as the two are hardly the same. Purdue University is an actual research university and Purdue University Global is not...it's Kaplan University.... Read More

Do not apply! It is run by a for profit company. Purdue University just ruined their name! Run away as fast as you can. A bachelors degree will end up costing you $44500! They will leave you in debt and hiring companies are recognizing the poor quality of online education.

I received my BS Degree in Criminal Justice from this institution when it was still Kaplan University. Like many others, I'm married, have two kids, and worked a full-time job while I attended classes. Make no mistake, it wasn't easy. But I was determined to complete my degree. I ended up graduating with honors and a 3.95 GPA. Don't listen to these negative comments. I've only been in school for a year and I'm already working in the IT Field, my professors are knowledgeable, and I haven't had a single problem with financial aid. The people posting negative reviews on here would have problems at any school as their issues are with themselves not PG. I can tell you that if you go here, study hard, and graduate you'll be set. Even my classmates are talking about the jobs they're getting.

Yes, the financial aid department needs to be trained on procedures but the school itself was a good experience for me. I guess it comes down to how hands on your are with the staff.

Horrible school! They screwed me over and are not doing anything about it. Just recently I asked a question on their live chat box and the staff person was rude and quit the chat before I could do anything.. The staff their is rude and have bad communication. The only positive side is the professors are awesome other than that the staff sucks and don’t know what they are doing.
