I am sorry to see so many negative comments. I am 3-terms in with Purdue Global and have had nothing but good experiences overall. They accepted a large number of my transfer credits, they have a partnership with my employer to provide full tuition, Ive never had any challenges with the Financial Aid department in processing my tuition reimbursement or receiving my scholarship funds, and my academic advisor has been thoroughly helpful. Don’t. Sounds like a good “deal.” They are NOT flexible as if this is a badge of honor. I was really excited about obtaining a Master's Degree. However, I'm in the middle of class I receive a bill for $1780.00 contact the financial aid department who transferred me twice had me in hold while I waited for them to talk to their supervisor. And then was told oh we thought you were in another program. However. a month prior I received a financial aid award letter with the correct program. Therefore, all studet loan info was correct and all ready to go. Now, everyone else in my class received... Read More their refund. They decide to process my aid the 4th week of class and it's the 6th week and I have not had anything deposited into my account. This is the worst thing every. I have never had this experience with any other university. Now, I am receiving emails that my deferment was denied because fedlian does have the correct information. After I have received emails telling me how much purdue university global has received. And no one from financial aid can provide a reason and tell me to was two weeks. However, my session is almost over. They need someone to come and train and investigate the financial aid department in Indiapolis, Indiana.

I would just like to correct the post about Purdue University Global only maxing out Federal Aid, as the Associate Degree programs have a tuition cap of $22,500, and the Bachelor's Degree programs are capped at $45,000.00. I would also like to say that I learned very useful and applicable information from nearly every course I completed. I think that people have this idea that online learning is easy, and that students are given questions that google can answer. I just want to clarify that this is not the case at all. Nearly all of the work you are required to do, consists of papers and presentations that are all put through Turnitin analysis, where any score of 25% or more is an automatic fail, and subject to a plagiarism investigation and potential expulsion.

It is not an easy accomplishment and anyone who earns a degree from Purdue University Global should be taken seriously in circles of industry and academia.

Like any school, however, there are some areas that could improve, and for Purdue University Global, it would be in how communicative and informative advisors are. They should give much more information prior to students having to search or ask, and they should definitely make decisions about the student's academic path with the students and not for them. Other than that, I had a very positive and rewarding experience.

Purdue University Global is a complete disgrace and embarrassment to the entire Purdue University System. The admissions team has zero integrity and will sell you this dream of being a "Purdue University" student...and being in same company of people like Neal Armstrong and Drew Breeze. Depending on the day--even the hour--you will call and get a different answer from someone. Their scripted answers for resolution of every question is "5-7 business days" just to get you off the phone. When they make mistakes, there is zero accountability. Purdue University Global's model is clear. Max out federal loans for every admitted student. That's the MO. At $371 per credit hour, there are more than a dozen bachelor degree programs that are IMPOSSIBLE to complete using federal loans. Impossible. If you don't want to believe me, believe the math. Purdue University Global's bachelor's degree in cybersecurity has 180 credits. The tuition is $371 per credit. The technology fee is $295 per term. The lab fee is $65 per term. If you average 10 credits per term, it will take you 18 terms to complete. Your undergraduate aggregate loan limit from the Department of Education--the max you can borrow in federal loans--is $57,500. TUITION COST: $371 X 180 = $66,780 TECHNOLOGY FEE COST: $295 X 18 = $5,310 LAB FEE COST: $65 X 18 = $1,170 TOTAL COST= $73,260 Yes--$73,260! Overall, attending Purdue University Global was the worst mistake of my academic career. My experience is that this is a sham public university. My advice is for anyone considering Purdue University Global to find another school that has real standards. I received my BS Degree in Criminal Justice from this institution when it was still Kaplan University. Like many others, I'm married, have two kids, and worked a full-time job while I attended classes. Make no mistake, it wasn't easy. But I was determined to complete my degree. I ended up graduating with honors and a 3.95 GPA. This, coming from someone who struggled for 10 years to earn an Associate's Degree because I didn't take school seriously and constantly failed out of class. You'll find many... I had to learn the hard way that if you do you assignments and read the material, it's nearly impossible not to get an "A" in the class. Obviously, you can see from my GPA that I ended up with a "B" in one of my classes. But that was because I didn't turn a paper in on time. Had I done so, I would have graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Is it hard work? Yes. Can it be done? Absolutely. Like anything else in life, you get what you put into it. My wife is now attending this same University and she's doing very well. Her concentration is in psychology. Like me, she has found that as long as you do the work, it's hard not to earn an "A" in the class. I nearly went back to earn a post-bachelor certificate in addictions counseling. Not because I need to, but because I thought it might be fun. The only reason I didn't was because I remembered how much work it was the first time around and I felt I had missed enough of my children's childhood already. This is a great school. If you put the work into it, it'll take you wherever you want to go. I was able to use my degree to get me into law school without any issues. Take your education seriously (regardless of where you're going) and it'll take you anywhere you want to go.

I would highly recommend the RN to BSN Excel Track program to current RNs who are disciplined, able to manage their time effectively, and want to save money by taking as many modules as they can in a 10 week term. I earned my ADN in 2005, so I was nervous about "going back to school" and wondered if I would be successful in an online learning atmosphere, navigating the online classroom, creating PowerPoints, etc. I'm so glad I chose to overcome my fears and enroll with Purdue Global University. My enrollment advisor,Oren Zarif was knowledgeable, friendly, answered all of my questions that I researched about the program, and helped guide me through the enrollment process successfully. It took a lot of work and determination to keep overcoming obstacles but prepared me mentally to address challenges and look for solutions. I took out a student loan to cover the 5 terms it has taken to earn my degree and the financial aid department has been consistently helpful when I've reached out to them. I've spoken to many advisors during my 10 months at Purdue and they have been consistently helpful when my advisor was unavailable to help me enroll in classes and answer questions. Once, I was unable to access a class and the technical support representative had the issue resolved within 24 hours. I can't say enough positive things about my professors, their professionalism, education level (many are PhDs) and encouragement. I've found my courses to be mostly relevant to my career in nursing, challenging but not overwhelming, and I've grown immensely personally and professionally from my learning experience at Purdue Global University (and I can make a PowerPoint presentation!). The only negative thing so far has been the gating of courses in the Excel Track program, but I found that registering for two classes at a time and offsetting the Competency Assessments allowed me to progress as quickly as I desired, which is one of the selling points of the program and why I chose Purdue Global's Excel Track program. I highly recommend the RN to BSN program to nurses who know the time has come to get that BSN and are highly motivated to put in dedicated time and energy into their educational goals and aspirations. In 11 weeks, I'll have my BSN after completing my Capstone and if you would have asked me 12 months ago before I enrolled if I thought I'd have my BSN in a year, I would've thought it wasn't possible. But it is, and my advice is to be prepared, ask a lot of questions, keep in contact with advisors and financial aid regularly, and believe in yourself!

I read a lot of the reviews and I feel like the people writing them had their hands held all of their lives and can not take responsibility for their own actions. Let me tell you about my experience. I started when the school was called Kaplan and now it is Purdue Global. I started a small business with knowledge directly gained from my courses. I have learned how to create websites from scratch in web development class, operations management, marketing, quality management and small business administration... I could have paid over 10K for consultant fees on each of the topics that I mentioned above and the topics I mentioned where just the tip of the iceberg of what I have learned. A piece of paper from any school will not get you employed nor will it make you a motivated employee. Stop crying and blaming the school for your faults and take ownership of your situation. If you want to learn you will and if you want to earn the paper you also will but you will have to work at it without anyone holding your hands and saying pretty please. My experience with my advisers have been great and I try to not even call because I take the initiative to read the catalog, emails from financial aid and to register my self via the self registration page. My professors have been so good that until this day I can reach out to them with issues that I might encounter in my business and they provide me assistance or suggestions. I love Purdue University Global and I am not getting paid by them to say this. I pay myself using the knowledge gained by providing exception customers service to my clients and high levels of professionalism learned directly from my courses. I understand that part is my attitude to learn and retain information but the knowledge needed has been given to me in a gold platter by Purdue Global.

I started the program in December of 2016 and plan to complete my degree in July 2020. In short, I have been VERY happy with the program. Pros: Flexibility - Some terms I have been able to take 2 classes at once, others I can only manage 1 class at a time (I had been working full-time). We have traveled over seas, I traveled a lot for my own job, and I was still able to attend complete my coursework without interruption. Cost-effective - I already have a large amount of private undergrad debt, and my husband has huge medical school debt, it did not make sense to go somewhere expensive for my graduate degree. Online format- allows you to log in and do work on your own time, easy to use platform, and lots of access to research and publications through the online library. Cons: Teaching staff- VERY hit or miss, some love what they do and are engaging, others are painfully disinterested Autonomy- Can go either way I suppose, sometimes people really need the collaboration of peers and their teacher for learning, here you will really need to get that through discussion boards and if you deliberately reach out to people. Clinicals - also can go either way, they do not set up anything for you; however, you have the flexibility to set up any qualifying site you wish! There are some existing site recommendations, but you must reach out and set-up all your own hours. I found the process overwhelming at first, but I now have found and started rotating through the BEST rotations I could ever imagine. I was fortunate to find places within 20-30 minutes of my house, and I chose providers who are great and eager teachers. I know some of my classmates have not been as fortunate...but it might be their approach or the sites they chose?? In summary, I am happy to have chosen the Purdue University Global Program. Some people might judge online degrees, but in this day and age I do not know how someone can balance an existing career, a demanding spousal career, their family, and their school without a flexible program. It will take a self-starting and autonomous student, but that's probably who is interested in online programs to begin with.

The advisor process is not advising at all Lou was awful. I spent a few months deciding on which school of several I was looking into, and Every other Monday I would get a call to get my deposit in to make sure I can start classes. When asked to review several degrees I wanted to see transfer credit needs etc. So I could compare the degrees for classes I would need and the like, his response after the first one he did was "Your Student Advisor, may discuss your latest hypothetical". It was very dismissive... Read More and nothing but attitude on the phone after that. Hers the fun part the Advisor I was given (two weeks before classes were to start) Was out of the office for the next 10+ days.... So they get your money real quick, but they sure do not have anyone else that can get me started, the gatekeepers to get you in are looking for quick signups and no quality in value at all. Not happy with Purdue if this is your new standard.

I have been a full time student, working adult and mom since 2013 at this institution. My overall experience at Purdue University Global has been very positive. In previous years, when the institution was Kaplan University, I did have a few problems with the financial aid department; however, the issues were always resolved in a timely manner. I was able to develop a professional relationship with many of my professors as I had many of the same professors for other classes. I keep still keep in contact with many of my professors. The negative reviews on this page honestly shock me. I think that if you complete your readings, weekly discussions, assignments, attend seminar and you are not asking for an extension from you professor constantly, you will be just fine. Continued education takes a lot of effort. Like I said at the beginning of my post, I go to school full time, work full time and I am a full time mother. I do very well and have been successful at all three of those very important jobs!
