"Pros: The atmosphere on campus is very competitive and vibrant. Most courses are very competitive and test a great level of knowledge and dedication of the student. Most faculty are very approachable and friendly. Cons: Some courses can be a real misfit for few students and the expectations are sometimes not outlined very specifically which may result in poor performance in those courses at times. The financial aid scenario leaves more to be desired. career options can be tough sometimes, mostly for international students. (Though these are mere obstacles and a degree from here will take you a long way)"

"Pros: Highly ranked Engineering Graduate program, with good lab and classroom facilities. Very safe campus and calm neighborhood. Great return of interest after graduating. Funding opportunities are plenty but student must take the initiative of finding them. Cons: Not a good social life around the campus, except for summer. Very tough grading and out of state tuition is comparable to a private university. Graduate libraries are less in number and are not as good as Undergraduate's. Overall, I would recommend this university to anyone who is willing to attend a competitive program with affordable tuition but don't mind the harsh winters and lack of social life."

"I think our grad program should focus on teaching the way writing paper rather than just basic courses. If students just are taking basic courses for requirement, we can not learn any newthings from Purdue."

"My graduate program is amazing! The professors are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their specific fields. I enjoy going to class and learning about computer forensics. I am also extremely excited to get real life experience working with the Lafayette Police Department. The students within the program socialize quite a bit and are able to talk about their ideas and gain different perspectives. It is definitely a great program to be in!"

"The Food Science Department and the Purdue University Graduate Program bigest pros is that is an institution that highly dedicated on enriching and improving food, through increased food safety and novel processing techniques, becoming a highly competent and research oriented institution. They have amazing faculty, that is dedicated to make sure students learn and give the best they have. Personally the only thing I would add to my program is more learning by doing, more real practice the knowledge."
