My experience so far has been great. Others have reported that it was sales pitchy when being contacted by admissions advisors. They are all that way, no matter the school. Deal with it. So far my advisors have done a great job keeping in touch with me and making sure I have everything done on time to be all set to start courses in October.
Do not attend this school! They are a joke. I am a transfer student in my first semester. I am leaving this school when this semester is over! They cheat you on quizzes. I got graded 50% on a quiz I never even opened. I never clicked the link and it shows I scored that percentage. I brought it to my instructors attention and she told me her computer says I did. So she is forcing me to take this grade on a quiz I never even took. I tried to have the school investigate my issue and they will not. I actually have proof I submitted other assignments at the exact time my quiz was submitted. How is that possible? Rasmussen is a joke! They are making the mistakes and us students are paying them to do it. There has to be some way they can track an IP address to prove that quiz was not taken by me. Of course they will not look into the matter. Needless to say, I AM NOT STAYING AT THIS GARBAGE SCHOOL!!!
Rasmussen College is a high price to pay for a lack of an education. There are a lot of politics that take place interfering with the classes. You get very little hands on at the lack luster clinical sites. You will pay an exorbitant amount of money to be enrolled in online courses where you will teach yourself pharmacology, how to deliver a baby and most importantly how to properly care for a pediatric patient. One of my biggest regrets in my education is wasting time and money for such a subpar nursing program.
My time at Rasmussen College was very beneficial and I actually enjoyed it. School has never been a strong area for me but attending online allowed me to complete assignments on my own time and work on things when I felt most comfortable. Instructors were always available and willing to help in any way they could. I only had to go into campus a couple of times throughout my 3 years attending to talk to an advisor or someone in the financial services department, everything else I ever needed was solved over the phone or through email. Sure, the costs may be a bit much but if you get something out of it and take advantage of the opportunity it is definitely worth it.
My experience with Rasmussen has been great so far. The advisors were on me to get the necessary documents in for my registration. My professors were very knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. If I had did not turn in an assignment which I did however I uploaded it wrong, my teacher emailed me several times and even called me to make sure I was aware that she did not receive it.
There were many resources to help you through each course. I am enjoying the flexibility of online school and Rasmussen has been a positive experience for me.
Rasmussen college is a horrible college, don't even consider going to this school! The administrators don't try to help, financial aid services at the college are also terrible and not helpful.
The advisors at the college do not try to help students. I had to contact my advisor 3 times, then i tried going to the dean and never heard back.
Yes the credits transfer but it is not worth the hell you will go through to obtain those credits. Do not go to this school!
