This is a scam! Pls do not attend here! They take your money and dont teach you anything. They slam you with Funds and Pharm in one semester, several students failed one or both. Its horrible. The teachers plot against you to fail, and do not teach about anything on the test. I was on honor roll for many semesters and also have several other degrees from various Universities. This I repeat is a scam! They never show you your test so you can see what you got wrong and improve. Oh and just food for thought, if you are a minority this school is not for you due to the teachers being RACIST and overtly treating those of color poorly in comparison to the other students. Its ourtight shameful. They even use the discrimination in their grading practices, witnessed it firsthand. It's awful and a no-win situation. The graduation rate is only 25% look it up d your research and if in like the movie says.. GET OUT! Youre welcome!

Worst school ever. None of the credits transfer between campuses. I was also told by my advisor that I could drop a class to lighten my course load, as I have a full time job and two kids. Well that comeback to haunt me as I had to pay out of pocket because they didn't tell me that you can't use financial aid if you are under a certain number of credits (and I was within the drop period). So bad advice from advisor. The dean and most of the office staff suddenly quit during my second quarter, I should have recognized that as a sign. Also they claim to be willing to work with schedules as far as evening classes or people with kids...they aren't. Class schedules are given out two weeks ahead of time and I was told I could not switch with anyone if what I was given didn't work for me, and if you miss a clinical they can fail you automatically (unless the instructor decided to let you make it up but good luck with that), if you Lisa class or test without 24 hrs notice and a documented excuse ( you were in the hospital, etc) they can fail you. Had a girl in my pharm class be failed because she missed the test because she was in the ER, and they wouldn't let her make it up because she didn't give 24hrs notice (like yeah I know 24hrs ahead of time that I'll be in the emergency room). And outdated information, MOST of the instructors don't know what they are doing( had a few really good ones but I literally had an instructor that would skip slides if she didn't know anything about what was on the slide and would not give any insight as to what material we would be tested on, couldn't even get vague help like"chapters 20-27" or anything). Clinical sites are dumps. Online courses are s joke, pre recorded lectures that aren't even done by the current instructor. I had one instructor who could barely type or speak English (and this lady was supposed to be grading my papers on spelling, grammar, and APA format). This school is an expensive joke. Don't waste your time or money. I'm in debt over 20 grand because of this school, and I wish I had never started the program.

Yes, the school is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I graduated with my RN degree and got hired at UF Shands immediately after finishing. I do not understand why there are so many bad reviews about this school on here!!!! If you are not going to put in the hard work or dedication required to become a nurse look elsewhere.

I went to this school for a semester and it was the worst experience I have ever experienced, the teachers were the worst, they would come in 20 min late into the class and at the end of the class the teacher would say oops we don't have anytime, looks like you guys are going to have to finish everything on your own. Which then we would have to leave and study about 4 chapters by our self and learn it by our selves not only that, she would give us a test and nothing would be similar to what we studied, and the sad thing is I had 10 kids complaining with me. The rest of the kids didn't complain because they were CNAs before and they already knew everything we were getting taught, until we came to the end of the semester and even the CNAs started complaining with us. I also had many teachers that were the same way.. Not only that they do not tell you before you enter the school that you need to have a 79 test average and if you get below it, they kick you out so the money you paid for is for nothing!! I could go on for days, but i seriously dont recomend this school to anyone!!

THIS SCHOOL IS A SCAM. I don't mean to jab at institutions or businesses but if this review could stop just one person from wasting thousands of dollars on an 'education' based off online classes that don't teach anything then good! The teachers are not even in your state and are impossible to contact. The staff that lures you in with the smiles and expectations of success will NOT speak to you once you are enrolled. Even the online 5.5 week courses are over $1,000! I'm going back to my community college where I was previously and getting a real education from real professors. There is no financial aid office or any office for that matter, they all do the same thing. The programs are NOT accredited but make it seem like they are. Talking to hospital employees, other college students and even staff there say that the students coming to their hospitals do not know anything because they are not taught anything. Please, do yourself a favor and do not go here.

If I could go back and not go here I would. I wish I would have done more research on this school, the cost, and the pass rates. I was lured in by the quick entry to the program and little requirements to start. Please do not be fooled. This school is unorganized and unprofessional. The cost of the school does not equal a better education or experience. I urge you to take the extra time and enroll somewhere else.

I felt the program was disorganized but completely prepared me for boards. My expectations so we're to teach me what I need to know to pass boards and be a competent nurse and then I found my own job to fine tune my skills and evolve into a better nurse.

I am very surprised by the number of negative reviews on here! I have had such a great experience at this school and with all of the staff and instructors. I am in the second quarter of the nursing program at Rasmussen College - Rockford Campus. What I quickly learned is that you have to be a very motivated and independent learner to be successful at this school. The courses are mostly online, and they move quickly through the material. If you are not disciplined enough to learn the material on your own and complete the course work on time, then you probably won't be successful at this school. The program is not easy, and the format in which this school teaches its students is not for everyone. Personally, I believe that Rasmussen College is a fantastic school that takes much pride in the quality nurses that their program produces. They care about their students and provide them with endless resources to ensure that they are successful. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is serious about their education and is not afraid to work hard for it.

They are your best friends until your first day. When you are a student, you hope that your teachers like you. Hopefully the instructors like you. They seem to change with every quarter. But they are so afraid to step on the toes the of the previous instructors. We all want to be great nurses. They seem to not care about that. Be aware that they are FOR PROFIT. Sad but true.
