Rasmussen College Reviews
Student & Graduate Reviews (111)
Rasmussen offers an accelerated BSN nursing program. This is great for students who want to pursue their BSN within a few years, it is a rigorous program but I would recommend this school to anyone wishing to transition into their career on a fast track with a great education.
The classroom instruction is ok but the supporting office is terrible. Nobody knows what's going on. If you want an education I recommend seeking it elsewhere. They fail to deliver proper student support. Attending this school was the most stressful experience I've had since I went back to school.
My experience with the college was great. I was able to attend via online courses and work at my own pace. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Worse choice I EVER made in my entire life! At 50 years old I wanted to change careers and after Tens of Thousands of dollars and student loans, everything at Rasmussen is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!!! I can not transfer any of the 60+ credits I earned because they are not accredited nationally.
A friend of mine recommended that I transfer to Rasmussen because I would be able to finish my degree online. I started in January and realized immediately what a joke this school is. The format of the online classes is horrible. I work 40+ hours per week and have a family and having to submit two to four research papers, do readings from several books for each class, watch a live hour long classroom session, post a discussion, etc every week got to be too much for me very fast. My grades started to slip as I didn't turn in all of my assignments but somehow I still managed to pass my classes. I decided I would try another semester to see if other classes were any better but there were just as bad. The amount of work I was putting into my classes and learning absolutely nothing was horrible. The professors were hard to get a hold of for questions. Also, after the semester started I made my first payment for tuition and never heard anything else. A month later I got an email saying I owed over $1000 even though I was never notified. They are very unorganized and I would never recommend this school to anybody!
Before considering attending Rasmussen College, please consider your other college/university options first. I moved from another state and did not fully understand that I could have made a Bette choice until about half way through my program. I've been bounced around between 4 different academic advisors in my 1 1/2 years at this school, I am constantly redirected to a new person every time I have a question, I'm placed in 400-level "general education classes" that are not in my major and that I was not given the option of choosing, financial aid is sketchy, and some instructors are hard to get ahold of or claim they have no control over class content or helping us better understand some of the assignments. I'm graduating with my BS in less than 3 months and I will never come back to this school in the future nor will I recommend this college to anyone looking for a worthwhile college experience.
First off.. Anyone stating this is even a half way decent school and recommends it to someone, they are a part of the faculty at Rasmussen. Every single review I have read has already started my exact complaints, almost word for word. I have withdrawn from this school and now somehow I owe them w balance when I had financial aid and everything was paid for from the very beginning. Now guess what, they want to hold my transcripts so that I can't transfer to a different school! How typical of Rasmussen for this to happen lol. I could have already guessed something like this would happen. So now I am going to contact the department of education and see just how I even possibly "owe" this school money, this should be interesting (after already charging 3x the amount for any other nursing program) THEY WANT MORE.. Can you believe that
I was looking for a program that would be relevant to my career goals so I enrolled in the Marketing program. The teachers were good, especially those teaching the marketing classes. The focus on digital and social media was very helpful in my current position. Make sure that you do some pre-work before you take the statistics class! The program was hard but well worth it. I would recommend Rasmussen.
I only attended a month before I decided to drop out. The homework was a joke. Our tests were a joke. I had straight A's. I then handed in a test with 2 missing answers, received 100% because I tried. I want my money back. I only attended the school for about a month. It only took that long to realize it's just another diploma mill. The advisor was very helpful and kind. I can't believe these diploma mills are getting away with crap like this? People are posting fake reviews telling how awesome these schools are, and how great of a job they got because of schools like these. The government should do something about it.
Omg I loved this school one teacher gave me the lpesr possible grade on everything but I passed! I got a job in my field within 3 months of graduation I would recommend this school to anyone, I'm a single mom of 4 it worked with my schedule did it at my pace.I'm thinking about switching to another college for my bachelors though . not sure yet, currently weighing my options, pros and cons
