Degree: Criminal Justice

It's entertaining to read the many negative reviews of the school. There are many of us who made it through our program and degree, and graduated, that speak highly of the experience. The workload for Criminal Justice is all online, which is very accommodating to working adults and families. There are a lot of papers, but once you learn APA and follow the requirements, they become a breeze. Instructors are knowledgeable and accommodating to students and schedules.

This college is AMAZING. I took the accelerated Criminal Justice Leadership & Management Bachelor Degree program 100% online and I graduated within a year with a 4.0 GPA. People need to understand that ANY degree takes time, effort and dedication. I dealt with the death of my grandmother, mother in law and a surgery during my time at Rasmussen and I was still dedicated enough to finish each 6 week course with a solid A. The professors were tremendously knowledgeable and they responded promptly. I... Read More

DO NOT ATTEND THIS COLLEGE!!! It is absolutely to most piece of **** school you can ever Imagine. The tests are not created by the teachers, the teachers teach around the tests that Rasmussen tells them the have to give.. the tests are the same for EVERY semester so students just copy and trade answer keys. The information on the tests is OUTDATED and incorrect! Teachers spend they class periods explaining the wrong answer and making excuses as to why the answer is the way it is or in which scenario... The classes and instructors are awesome (with few exceptions). All of my classes took online. However, the Aurora, IL campus career services is horrible. The campus as a whole is terrible. No one ever answers the phone. If you ever need anything, know that your call will never be answered. Yes, the front desk will always answer, but then they are just going to transfer you to a voicemail. The career services people are NEVER EVER EVER EVER available. I think it is just one person in charge of it... Read More

I have completed my associate degree with Rasmussen. I then rolled over to go for my bachelor degree. I was only 12 classes from graduation when I was told that I did not have any more financial aid available and had a balance on my account of just over $1600. I had attended other schools in the past but was never told by any of them that there was a cap on the amount of financial aid (student loans) that anyone is able to draw on. Rasmussen's classes are 4 credits each which takes more of the financial... Read More
