Going to Rasmussen for nursing was the worst decision I have ever take. 50 to 70% of the classes are online. That means you are most of the time figuring things yourself. It is true you can always email your instructor but the reply is not instant. Its ASN or BSN s definitely not for people with zero healthcare background. Second, from day 1, they throw so many assignments at you that you feel like you are drowning. Third, they are obscessed with ATI. Therefore ATI is embedded within every nursing... Read More

I am currently attending Rasmussen College Online. I am 45 years old and have raised my family and lived life while intermittently taking classes at a local community college. I have always taken the online version whenever offered. Recently, I decided to look for an option with more flexibility and I started to search for online programs. I have known many people who have successfully completed online degrees that greatly helped their careers. I must say that I do not take all the programs seriously.... Read More

The core of computer science was never touched. Compare them with decent school like, FAU, FSU, CSU, UCLA or even state colleges. Do your homework. If data structure and algorithms are no the core of your classes what can you do in an interview or in a real job. Worst computer science program with less than approximately 1 percent of successful student. You have been warned to educated yourself before choosing your school. Don't do it please. Do what is worth your career.

This is hands down the best online school for people looking to get into Computer Science. You can jump into Data-Science or show off your design skills by earning a Web Dev Degree! I went for my Software Degree and loved the entire process. After spending 1 week getting used to the online layout, I felt confident in completing the rest of my degree. My counselor is Uber Cool and feel that the entire college is much more helpful than others I have dealt with! If you want to major in tech, then go... Read More

DO NOT WATE YOUR MONEY. This school does not care about its students. In one class I had a 94 going into the last week. I submitted my final project and my grade remained a 94. This is mathematically impossible considering its 8% oftour grade. I graduated with a 3.48 gpa and a 3.50 is honors. I asked the dean (several times) to look into it and never received an email back for a month. After finally getting a reply she said she looked into it and doesnt see a need to change it. Lol. I emailed back... Read More

I would recommend not attending Rasmussen. I just completed their associate program for HR and Organizational Leadership and an left wondering where to go from here. I understand that online school you really need to put the time and effort into things if you want it to work, however, I felt that Rasmussen's Instructors didn't care. Most of their instructors work for Rasmussen part-time while holding very high jobs such as IT Directors and even CFO's and professors at more prestigious schools. It... Read More

I just went back a college to earn a higher credential. I started the Bachelor Completer program in August 2017, and will be completing it in September of 2018. I averaged 20-24 credits per quarter and took all of the CBA courses. (Test outs) it CAN be completed in 1 year...but it's a large time investment. Here is the BIG negative.........the entire program is writing papers. Seriously...it's all theory and you don't get hands on experience with any marketing software, programs or ANYTHING! I did... I started the LPN program at Rasmussen in April of 2017. It was an expensive program, I will admit. However, there were some perks. No waiting list. No prerequisites, these were conveniently built into the program. No having to compete with other applicants to get in. For me, I found these perks to be worth the extra money. As for the program itself, it was excellent. I was at the campus in Eagan, MN, which I came to understand was one of their best campuses. I had excellent instructors who were... Read More

Financial services have been a nightmare to deal with, ,when transferring to a new school, despite having dropped classes several weeks before a new term, I was charged again. It's been over a month and I am still trying to deal with billing here. 0/10 on finances. I was refunded the pell grant, charged an additional 1800 for classes, and am just sitting here in the red for the time being. My instructors were great and knew their material well. Assignments and group discussioins were great.

Please please please don't waste your time nor money on this school and their broken promises. First off the only way to communicate to anyone is through a computer screen (or until they feel you owe them money, and all of a sudden you get phones calls and numbers to actually talk to someone other than through the computer) they cram all this information into 5.5 week courses and you don't have time to actually learn or grasp what your are reading or learning, you get to a point where you are only... Internet at the school rarely works. School runs out of paper and ink a lot and teachers stopped providing print outs. A lot of self teaching. Things are constantly changing in the middle of classes and trying to find out what homework is due is a pain when having to click multiple places.

Communication is an issue no matter who you are trying to contact. If you email, you will get a form letter response from a general email address that will not address your question. If you call, you will leave a message after the recording says they will get back to you within a timely manner. You will never be called back. If you ask about your grade, some teachers will send harshly worded responses while not answering your question. There are some good instructors, however, the experiences with... Read More

My experience at Rasmussen was very sub-par in my opinion. Lack of communication, stressful, expensive both from loans and out of pocket. Overall I would not recommend it to anyone; the experience was very costly and emotionally taxing. Let's go over the advantages first because the negatives will be lengthy. It was convenient without a doubt. If I had a much smoother experience in communication, it would have been very manageable. Second, they have a few excellent instructors. I ran into two myself... Getting into Rasmussen was easy. They are very on top of you - they get all your data, they bring you into a local office if they can, they walk you through paperwork and costs, they set everything up for me. I could not have found it more friendly or more engaging. It is a very typical entrance process. Orientation was simple. The programs very straightforward. They seemed to have all their ducks in a row. The cost was similar to other online programs, much higher than community college or even... Read More

I have never been so disappointed with this course., I am a para in St.Peter and make the same as a person just out of high school. I was congratulated for my class's BUT unless you can find a teaching job in a daycare this means nothing. I would think that this college should want there grads to make better money then a high school grad. So my thought is that Rasmussen needs to make sure there students understand what this course is for AND I believe that Rasmussen needs to inform schools and others... Read More

I really like my school. It is hard and they tell you before you start that they do not work around your schedule. You have to work around your school schedule. You have to study about 20 hours a week per class. School is a job if you think it's not then your wrong. Yes it's expensive but less expensive than being on a list waiting for 2 years. After my ADN I'm going to go to a college in the city near my house for the BSN. Most hospitals are magnet status so you won't get into them without a BSN.... Read More

Spend your money elsewhere. Rasmussen will say/do anything to get in your wallet & once they have their hooks in you, all support stops. Some insight to how Rasmussen conducts themselves as a business - I attended this school for nearly 2 years, plenty of time for them to build a dossier of sorts on me as a student there, or at least maintain an academic record via transcript right? Well I just (today, 1/25/18) received an email from the program director inquiring about my expressed interest in attending... Read More

This school is awesome. I got my associates in health information technology at this school and will be graduating with a BA this year. What you put in is what you get out of it. Negative students are most likely not applying themselves at this school. Nothing in life is easy but graduating at this school was well worth it. It was so flexible and allowed me to live a busy life while finishing school. I love Rasmussen. :-)

It costs a lot in time, money and peace of mind just to get through the bureaucratic paperwork at Rasmussen. You pay for a third party to process 12 requirements including vaccinations, CPR, fingerprinting, TB testing, etc. They constantly reject forms which requires another copay to get more paperwork filled out. It's a real guessing game. They reject courses from other schools and generally make your life a misery. Once you are provisionally accepted your real problems begin. At that point when... Read More

It's nursing school people, wake up! You deal with life and death situations, no part of it should be easy. Although I did transfer out, it was about cost not the quality of education.
