"Overall, my experience was useful and encouraged me to pursue higher education. I found four mentors that were able to give me the tools I needed to apply to graduate school and have the confidence in being able to contribute to the psychology field. I think the school could be more diverse and advocate for diversity and inclusion of minority students, not just by an organization but as a whole. I also think that there should be stricter policies in place to be able to fund programs like the language department. My time at Rider I was able to focus on my studies and I appreciated the hours in which I was able to go to the study lab. I was also appreciative of the late hours that the dining hall was opened, as well as the security within the campus. Two of my psychology professor really made a difference in my career and enabled me to continue researching what I was interested in the military population. I also enjoyed being close to two major cities, NYC and Philadelphia as well as two known townships, Princeton and Trenton. Being a part of the middle of those communities made me realized the privilege I had to be able to pursue a higher education degree and go on to my doctorate. Rider provided me with opportunities to grow and expand my knowledge as well as professors and faculty that really wanted me to succeed. I cherish my time there and hope that the incoming student does as well."

"The criminal justice program was a good one at Rider University. The professors teaching it had a genuine interest and love for the topics being taught, making the entire learning experience much more easier. Rider University as a whole was a great school as well, staff and students always made sure to have different activities on campus, and make things fun. They held concerts with different artists, the plays were always executed so well, and the campus looked like something out of a magazine. A nice, small campus but big enough to breathe. A great experience."

"Rider University is a very good school. The opportunities made available to me at Rider were bar none. Sophomore year, I was invited to be a Ronald E. McNair Scholar through which I conducted independent research with a Biology professor at Rider. Furthermore, I was able to travel to a couple states in order to attend McNair conferences as well as to present my research. One of the great aspects about this university was that students can participate in undergraduate research, internships, externship, or co-ops as early as their freshman year. Socially, the campus is small so a student can literally see the same faces when they walk around campus or go to Daly's (the main dining hall on the campus). There are over 100 clubs/organizations at Rider University. If there are none that catch your attention, no worries! Anyone can create their own clubs/organizations and become the president of it. There is a lot that Rider has to offer for their students. Just check it out and see if it is the school for you."

"Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey is where I received my Bachelors Degree. After transferring from the College of New Jersey, I was immediately struck by the schools conscientiousness and helpfulness in my efforts to complete my degree. The school was the perfect size and the sense of community makes a new place feel like home. That's the reason I choose Rider University for Graduate School. The communication with Admissions was consistent and responsive. Their application process was simple and intuitive eliminating frustrating guesswork. They maintained continual contact at every step and offered advice on retrieving transcript from other institutions. I was able to walk in and have face to face question and answer sessions with their staff. I felt liberated and empowered with what normally could be daunting and intimidating. Now half way through the Masters in Business Communications program, Ive received nothing but support and availability from the faculty. My professors love what they do and tailor their curriculum to my professional aspirations. They implore me to envision my skill set evolving into functional tools for success. The real world context of the programs course work underscores it value to career opportunities. Rider University enables me to work full-time and attend classes after work. Some classes incorporate an on-line component to go along with their easy-to-use Canvas software. Each professor is committed to providing their students the educational experience they expect. Assignments are easily accessible and submission options demonstrate their consideration of student schedules. All the apprehension and anxiety about going back to school has subsided. I regret not going back to Rider sooner! - Gary Gray Jr."

"Rider University is a smaller school with so many opportunities for educational as well as character growth. In my four years here as an undergraduate I felt like I really was able to make a difference. I joined a diverse amount of clubs and organizations and was able to become a leader in many of those organizations. I built my resume through many different on and off campus, Rider affiliated positions such as R.A., conference services leader and study tours counselor. The study abroad program and career support also helped me expand my experience past a resume and into a full character development. The small class sizes and intimate classroom setting helped me connect with my professors and utilize the resources they had to offer. I was able to obtain a position right after graduation and am currently back at Rider pursuing a master's program because I have such confidence in the education and resources they provided for me."

"Rider University is a decent school. It's not the most exciting college experience; there is very little to do in the area and extracurriculars are not an emphasis. The quality of the education varies on your major; the business school is highly regarded but many classes outside this discipline are not very challenging. Overall, I would not recommend Rider as anything more than a safety school which is an opinion shared by many others."

"The best experience and investment, was going to Rider University. I was a bit nervous and unsure as to how I would succeed, but I am so glad I stuck it out, it opened up so many doors of opportunity and network and it pushed me to want to do better."

"Rider university has a great NASP accredited school psychology program. It is three years and covers a wide spread of information relevant to the field. I wish the content covered more counseling techniques and crisis management, however the education I received at Rider definitely prepared me to work in the field with confidence."

"When I decided to go back to school, it had been years. I had attended previous colleges with 110 credits. Not only was Rider the only college willing to transfer 90 of my credits, they personally cared. Understanding our finances, they showed me various scholarships to which I was eligible. The staff and professors were both welcoming and knowledgeable. I was much more than a number. It wasn't only me who was treated this way. They treat everyone this way. I have recently gone back to Rider for my Masters. In my eyes, there was no other college worth applying to because my experience here is that fantastic. Now, my oldest son is in the process of applying to Rider, and I hope my other children follow in my footsteps. Rider cares and the quality of education I received and am receiving is excellent."

"There are incredible networking and performance opportunities, offering the ability to collaborate with the most renowned musicians. The location, between NYC and Philadelphia, is a fantastic support of those opportunities. The professors are leaders in their fields of study, and the new dean and president are incredible resources for the students. However, the cost of the program and cross-scheduling of performances can be overwhelming."

"The graduate program at Rider University is very tight-knit which allows students to create supportive relationships. Many of the students I started the program with will be the same ones I graduate with. We all work together to help each other succeed. The professors are also extremely authentic and genuine. Coming from a counseling perspective I have never been surrounded by such understanding individuals. The program however needs improvements in regards to assisting students make appropriate course selections and in beginning internships. Being a CACREP Accredited institution there are a variety of hoops students are expected to jump through in order to set up a practicum and internship site. The requirements are bit bureaucratic and outdated. Overall, the program is unique and not far from what I expected."

"Westminster Choir College of Rider University is a great opportunity to further your musical ability. It offers wonderful opportunities to perform with amazing orchestras from the New York Phil to many others. The education is exceptional and the professors are mostly wonderful and have had great careers and contacts. The only draw back that I found is that the financial aid to graduates is sub-par and the grad courses are actually more expensive than the under-grad! Add the fact that the campus is in Princeton where cost of living is far higher than normal and you get an expensive education, but it can be worth it if you can work around the cost."

"The opportunities at Westminster Choir College were amazing. Performing in New York with numerous world class orchestras and all over the country. However, the grad program does not offer much in the way of financial support and cost more per credit than the undergrad program."
