"The admissions office is horrible forcing me to send old transcripts and didn't tell me anything about a policy to send all my transcripts before the deadline forcing me to pay for 6 transcripts from the business college and I had nothing to do with my major. They wasted my time and energy having me start knowing this issue."

"I am currently in my first semester as graduate student at Rockford University studying for my Masters of Business Administration. This program has a balanced variety of functional areas including accounting, economics, finance, marketing and management. I chose this school and this particular program mainly because this opportunity to enhance my knowledge on the subject of business compliments my current position as a operations lead at UTC Aerospace. I received my undergrad degree in Engineering a year ago and now I believe that Rockford University will prepare me in the long run with the skills to one day manage my own business. So far the classroom experience has been the best part of it all. This school has a welcoming vibe that keeps everyone engaged and enjoy working together."

  • Degree: English
"I studied English with a minor in secondary education. Overall, the English professors at Rockford College were excellent. Their depth of knowledge brought fresh interpretations to the canon and introduced me to primary sources and to works outside of the canon. They were enthusiastic about their subjects, and they were encouraging while also holding students to a high academic standard. I felt that the secondary education courses taught plenty of theory, but, for me, did not sufficiently address the practical skills needed to manage a classroom. After teaching for a year, my English degree got me jobs in the medical field. I found that my education had prepared me for writing medical summaries as well as for the problem solving, planning, and documentation required of a Practice Administrator. I am grateful for the critical thinking, research, and writing skills that I developed at Rockford College; they have served me well throughout my professional career and in everyday life. Working with injury patients led me to appreciate the role that physical therapists play in recovery, and I'm now enrolled in post-baccalaureate courses with the intent of pursuing a graduate degree in physical therapy. I'm grateful that my degree from Rockford College opened doors to discovering a rewarding career."

"The campus itself is beautiful, and is located in the heart of Rockford. The students are amazing and very diverse. The facilities are currently being modernized and the faculty are very helpful."

"My MBA obtained at Rockford College helped me obtain the career position I had hoped for. However, being a private institution, that came at a great financial expense."

"Our graduate program is designed for working individuals. They provide you with all the materials needed. The professors understand you have a life outside of school. I am able to work my job of 50 hours a week and still come to my night classes and feel I am learning what I need to. The school does it's best to be progressive in the study areas. The areas we lack are with the different concentration fields and tuition costs. I already have a large sum total of debt from my undergraduate degree. The program runs year round but it is difficult to obtain funds to cover summer costs. The concentration fields need to be more solidified with more options in electives. This campus is in my hometown and I wouldn't want to receive my MBA degree from anywhere else."

"It is hard to imagine a better graduate program providing an Elementary Teaching license for someone who has a bachelor's degree in another subject & prefers daytime classes. I do wish the school offered scholarship programs for graduate students. At least the dining hall is awesome & inexpensive. The instruction is solid. Some of the instructors are truly exceptional."

"The pros to our program is that the classes are offered year round and in the evenings. The cons are it is a private college so the cost per credit hour is $700 so my financial aid depletes faster than I'd like it."
