"Great science program with personable professors. Not a school for mathematics."

"Saginaw Valley is a great university. It is small enough to still have that college feel but not too small where you know everyone. Professors are helpful for the most part and the campus is great. The campus is what really attracted me to SVSU. Also, it was only 1.5 hours from my home."

"The pros of my graduate program was the knowledge each professor displayed. All the educators wanted each student to be successful and become the best in their practice. I still keep in touch with them after 4 years of graduating. They have helped me in school and even in my career. The cons like any school would have would be the fact that after graduating I felt like my confidence was not high enough to be a independent therapist. However, with my professors giving me the support and resources I needed I was able to overcome this downfall."

"The Occupational Therapy Graduate Program at SVSU is competitive. It really shows you how much you can accomplish and prepares you for your career in OT. They provide hands on experiences and show you real life examples. It gives you a change to apply what you learn in the worst case scenario so in the field you'll never have to second guess yourself. The Occupational Therapy program will prepare and sculpt you for what lies ahead."

"I feel that there are several pros to the program at SVSU. Pros: The staff is very personable and enjoys the students in the class. There are multiple situations in which you as a student can network for future employment. The staff is very educated and the learning is hands on. The pass rate for the NBCOT exam in the previous class is very high (above 80%) Cons: The cost per credit is roughly $500.00 which is not cheap, the final level fieldwork is 40hrs a week which is unpaid for 6 months. The primary negatives about the program are the cost to attend and the time requirements that they require you to put in."

"The school I chose to attend to obtain my occupational therapy degree has many pros. The faculty are very accessible, friendly and alway eager to help students in every way possible. The faculty knows that "life happens" and are willing to make compromises and exceptions for students in dire situations. The order of cirriculum is well thought out and intellectually challenging. However, some students have a hard time seeing how the classwork coincides with our field. Overall, I am pleased with my decision of graduate school and would make the same decision again."
