"I am posting this for any other reason than to let my fellow colleagues know the truth. I have a few more classes left before I get my MBA and you cannot find ONE Marketing class on ground. Professors are scarce and people are loosing hope in you Saint Leo University. I am a federal government worker and mother. I told everyone who's even thinking about going back to school please do not go to SLU (military and federal workers & young graduates who're looking for a good school). I am so upset and disappointed with SLU. Such of waste of time and money."

"I have taken a mixture of online and face to face courses from surrounding local community colleges. Many think that online coursework is easier, and that was true where I had attended previously, however, this is not the case at Saint Leo. Taking two classes every 8 weeks is a lot of work here, so be prepared to set aside a good amount of time each week for your class(es). I spend many hours studying and doing each assignment in between time off from working full time. The instructors are pretty good here, and they respond quickly and are very attentive to each students needs. The coursework can be fairly challenging at times, and I feel even though everything's done online, I am still learning and retaining a lot of information. I can't say the same about other academic institutions I've previously attended. Overall, I believe that this is a great school."

"They try and instill these core values into its students, but the individuals I dealt with have obviously NEVER looked at these core values a day in their lives, shame, your hard work and dedication means nothing because you are just a student."

"I actually found Saint Leo by researching online school accreditation for the completion of my associates degree. I saw the reviews and the program offerings and applied. The admissions office helped me through the process and the connected me to an advisor who was always helpful. I was skeptical at first, but knowing that Saint Leo is a pioneer in online education and they were accredited by the same regional commission as my other schools I felt relieved. To be honest, the courses aren't that hard, but they do challenge you and make you think. I was a straight A student in High school and the community college I attended had less rigorous classes than Saint Leo; yet it has had students who transferred into schools such as UGA and UNC and Duke. I rate Saint Leo at the top of my list. The tuition for online is the same as the public 4-year university I wanted to attend. The distance learning centers are cheaper, but I have little kids and I like the convenience of not having to find daycare for them at night. The eight week sections are helpful, but a lot of material is covered. I like how you have access to past courses to go back and review information."

"I read through a number of reviews and observed that some students had problems while others appeared to have none. I won't say that I had none, but I was definitely not overly inconvenienced by any of them. I think people should also realize that some professors are going to be better than others at every university... That is one of the many reasons some schools are trying to move away from tenured positions (granted, there are other reasons as well). The bottom line, I was able to complete my degree program through a combination of local campus and online classes in a reasonable amount of time. Their program offered me what I felt was reasonable credit for some of my military qualifications and schools. I began using many of the general business skills almost immediately, often while I was still in a particular class. I did not have the luxury of attending a traditional campus and taking full-time classes - I did learn a great deal about time-management and personal motivation! I'm glad I picked Saint Leo, would recommend it to others, and feel it has prepared me to pursue a graduate program, which I will begin next fall at UVA's Darden."

"The classroom format I liked, but sadly that is the only positive about this school. Staff are rude and unhelpful. The university makes you jump through hoops for the most trivial requests. For example, I am filling out AMCAS for medical school application. Because I took a few classes with Saint Leo, I need to enter that information into my application. I simply need an unofficial transcript in order to see the class names and grades. For all other schools I've attended, this has been easy to obtain. I can either log in and view online, or they promptly sent me a copy via e-mail. Saint Leo's primitive method of attaining this simple information has brought my progress to a screeching halt. I have to wait for it to come via snail mail, as this is the only method they use. Also, they do not print unofficial transcripts, the only way for me to view it is to have another official transcript (with fee of course) sent to my house. Every person I talked to about it was extremely rude. In addition, when I tried to drop a class I was having computer difficulties. I sent a request to their helpdesk (I was not in the country and unable to call) a week before the drop deadline. I did not get a response until the day after the deadline (of course). Any attempts to address the situation were met with the same incredibly rude, uncaring response I received with my transcript request. I can't believe an educational institution is run this way. The best decision I've made about my education was to stop attending this school once I realized what a sham it is. I hope to save you the trouble. Please keep searching for a quality school, this is not it."

"I had many issues with the financial aid department. First, they did not use my loans to pay for an entire semester. I was told that I had to make arrangements to pay $1,700.00 back or I could not continue to go to their school until payment arrangements where setup. Second, they discovered that they made another mistake by giving me $900.00 to,much and had to pay it back. Again, all of my college education is suppose to be paid for with student loans. Thirdly, I have received a bill stating that I owe them $149.00. During my time with Saint Leo University their was many issues with the financial aid department. I paid all my debts back to them and was treated as though these mistakes were somehow my fault."

"As alumni week approaches I was doing a search on Saint Leo University and came across this site. I am floored at some of the negative comments. I attended Saint Leo University Online for five years and earned my B.A. and M.B.A. in that time. I can only say great things about the online degree programs offered here. This is not to say that all things were smooth sailing, there were some wrinkles that needed to be ironed out. However, every person that I encountered at Saint Leo was willing to help and was kind while doing so. Assuming that you will have zero issues with any business is unreasonable and far-fetched.Saint Leo University Online enabled me to earn my degree and a living for my kids. This program was amazing from start to finish. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to earn a college degree from a reputable institution."

"I am an active duty Army Soldier, and yes, it has taken me 11 years to complete my degree with St. Leo. I took my first four courses prior to 9/11, then deployed consistently and continuously over the next 7 years. I resumed my education about 3.5 years ago taking 2-3 courses each 8 week term while in Korea, Japan, and Honduras (traveling continuously at each location). St. Leo's courses, instructors, technology, and library were consistently challenging, demanding, and always interactive and helpful. My academic advisor has always been extremely responsive and helpful. I transitioned from tuition assistance to using my Montgomery GI Bill as well while completing my degree. Everyone involved was efficient and responsive to my financial aid requirements. I do not understand, nor can I agree with any of the negative reviews posted thus far.Along with these things, I was inducted into an honors society with the university and invited to attend a dinner, campus tour, and ceremony. The campus, staff, and ceremony were professional and well established. I am thoroughly impressed with everything about this institution which has existed since 1889. I will continue my graduate program with St. Leo."
