"I'm a veteran using my 9/11 GI benefits and my horrible instructor drops my without notice losing me part of my rent money (BAH) which has gotten me evicted from my house because of their negligence. I now live in my car because of SMC. I have learned that there is now over 200 homeless students at SMC. The college has closed down the organization that helped out these students out. I recently enrolled in a new class and they have not updated my enrollment either. This place is trash."

"Santa Monica College provides a wonderful experience on campus but also provides a broad selection of classes online. My favorite part about SMC is that most of the teachers are genuinely interested in the topic they are teaching. The school has regular training seminars for faculty and plenty of extracurricular lectures for students. Lectures range from visiting authors and poets, to transfer advice, to STEM work shops, to health and wellness and more. Overall a great educational experience and a wonderful first choice for any student looking to save money in the first two years of their bachelor's degree work."

"Love this college, perhaps the best one in SoCal! Hard to get a hold of real people on the phone and lines may be long...but that's what happens when you live in a overpopulated area. :) I would recommend this school to anyone!"

"After high school graduation, I graduated with my Associates of Arts (2 year) degree in 1976. It took me 13 years of a combination of part time and two full time semesters at six different community colleges. I intended to continue my schooling until my Bachelor’s or further; however, life circumstances intervened. I was fortunate to secure a position in a large corporation and retire after 26 years. During my years working for the corporation, I advanced from a stenographer to an Office Administrator. I know that my Associate’s Degree helped me to advance. I was offered a promotion to Cost Accounting late in my career. I continued to take community college classes to increase my work knowledge or for my own interest intermittently all my life. I will enroll in a Creative Writing class next semester at my local community college. The courses I have taken and the Associates Degree I received gave me a confidence and life knowledge that is priceless to me."
