I’ve really enjoyed attending Simmons university. I’m an online student, and how the program classes are set up is phenomenal. You do get the “in person” feeling/experience even though you are attending online. I also had to drop down to part time and take a leave of absence (maternity leave) after my second child was born, and my student advisor was amazing to work with. She made the process smooth and seamless.

The Nursing@Simmons program is easy to navigate and offers classroom learning that mimics a traditional classroom. Professors are knowledgable in their speciality and helpful when it comes to class work and guidance. Furthermore, there are numerous other faculty/specialists to guide and support you throughout the program.

Nursing at Simmons online program is super flexible and is very convenient for someone like myself who is still working while in the program. The online classes are face to face so I feel almost no difference from sitting in a classroom. It is a very rigorous program at times, which can be a good thing.

Simmons has provided me with a well-rounded education that has me feeling ready to enter the field of Nurse practitioners. The online program has allowed for flexibility with working and with my life. I have had the opportunity to meet many great people thus far. I am very pleased with my choice in Simmons for my FNP degree!

Great support and faculty. Online format with video classes allow you to interact with your classmates and instructors. Rigorous classes with high standards that will prepare you for practice. Opportunity to grow and make relationships that will last.

This program is a really great hybrid program that incorporates online didactic and asynchronous work. It is a rigorous program, but provides a really good knowledge base that is better than some brick and mortar schools. Faculty is helpful and and kind.

I feel I will be very well prepared when I am done with my schooling and clinical sites. You only get out, what you put it. Dedicate yourself and you will succeed. The online classroom platform is an invaluable experience and what solidified my decision on choosing Simmons.

The Nursing @ Simmons program has provided me with the tools I need to achieve my dream of becoming a family nurse practitioner. Despite the fact I am doing the program online the live asynchronous classes make me feel like I am in a classroom. I have been able to develop close relationships with my peers despite living in different states! I am about to begin my clinical experience and looking forward to the new challenges ahead knowing that Simmons has prepared me!

Simmons University graduate program in Nursing is excellent and prepares you well to be a Nurse Practitioner. The instructors are amazing and want you to succeed. The curriculum is difficult but totally worth the work. I am confident that I will be a great FNP!

The online program has been an amazing experience so far. It emulates a traditional program so even though you dont drive and attend class, you are able to meet face to face with other students and the instructor for discussions and to ask questions.

Great program that helps prepare you for clinical experience. Having the opportunity for face to face classes while still being a distance education student is great. It allows you make connections with other students and professors and help with future opportunities.

Simmons is a program that is good for self starters. This program requires initiative and the ability to teach yourself. With that being said. If you can pass the program you can pass the boards. You prepare yourself and Simmons gives you the tools to do so.

So far so good! Half way through the program and I'm feeling prepared. I start clinicals next week and think we have been given the tools needed to be successful. Some kinks to work out but I think thats with any University. Faculty has been awesome and devoted to the students. Happy with my decision of Simmons for my graduate program!

I have greatly enjoyed the program thus far. They do a great job with distance learning and students are still able to form relationships with their peers. They do an excellent job finding professors for the program and their teachers are genuinely interested in helping students succeed and learn.

This has been the worst experience of my life! They have double standards for themselves vs. students. Their clinical placement team is a joke! They have no heart and don’t give a crap about their students all they care about the students, nor the blood sweat and tears they put into their work. They are less than forthcoming and will say and do anything to keep you from leaving until you are trapped. I feel like I’m a number and not a person! This program is absolutely terrible. The asynchronous work is outdated and the mandatory 2 hour weekly synchronous sessions are a waste of time. Only about 50% of my instructors seemed to know anything about practicing as an APRN. The course leads could care less how you do and at times it seems they hope a few students will fail because they are only interested in taking your money. Also, the most difficult courses in the program are only 2 credits which is absurd. When you begin Advanced Health... Read More

I recently graduated and passed FNP/AANP boards within 3 weeks of graduating. I will be the first to admit that I was overwhelmed with the learning and I had to struggle to keep up at times but it was all necessary information. I chose a program that was accelerated on purpose so that I wouldn't spend the next 3-4 years in school- because it was condensed then the workload was fairly heavy. I worked part-time and school full-time. I am a single mom, depended on financial aid and studied hard. I graduated... Read More

Please stay away from this school. The videos are poor quality, you have several to do in one sitting and the technology is the worst platform I have encountered. The videos to do homework stop in the middle and this means you have to get out and start all over again. In some cases, you have up to 65 slides to view. Not good. I have complained about it to the tech support and they make you feel as if it is your problem or an isolated case then come to find out there is a Simmons FB feed where students... Read More

I am a current Simmons FNP student. The content is relevant and the material is well organized. There are several support options available to students, and I feel that my advisor, student support specialist, and the professors are all very supportive.
