Has a good reputation that will certainly open doors. When people ask what program I am in and I say Simmons they sit up and take notice. It is expensive but you get what you pay for! It has been hard work but I feel like I will be well prepared for my career. I’m sad that they are changing the program to only one semester of Pharm because I feel like that was something that no other program has and many people I spoke to were very impressed by that.

The school is unorganized, courses need serious review for being up to date. The courses are often under review/change which severely impacts the students. Very expensive. They claim to place you in clinical but you get push back. I would choose another school if I could go back and do it again.

My experience with Simmons has been wonderful. I feel as though I have the tools needed to go into my first clinical in urgent care with confidence. I start next Wednesday and have enjoyed my Immersion Weekend here in Boston. Thank you Simmons faculty for all you do and for future endeavors!

Simmons has been a new adventure, it’s great that they offer online because it works with my family and work life. I’ve met great life long friends at Immersion and really value the time here even tho it’s more expensive it’s worth the price. There’s lots of flexibility in schedule.

The program is a well organized program with well throughout immersion weekend activities and classes. I think that the only improvement can be the Coursework load during semesters with clinicals and the order of some of them. Scholarly inquiry does not need to be 2 semesters at all but health assessment should be.

Simmons has a great accounting program! Even though the program is fairly new, all of the business school professors that I've had were all committed to the success of their students. Every single one of my classmates is motivated and driven. The business school also has multiple resources for internships and careers. All of my classmates got at least one internship during their time at Simmons. The business school and professors do a great job preparing you for your future internships and careers.... Read More

Good Program. I picked Simmons mainly because they have clinical placement specialists that find your clinical site for you. The classes are also live and taught by APRNs. The one downside about online program is that it is fairly new so they make changes each term.

Simmons University is amazing! The staff was so helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with me throughout all my interactions with them. Professors are both informed and seasoned NP’s, providing a wealth of knowledge every semester. You’re not a number- you’re a student, and it shows. Go sharks!

The online MSN program is very convenient. There are weekly live sessions that you have to attend with your classmates and professor and I like the idea of that. It keeps me on my toes and allows me to stay on track. I can also do the school work at my own pace, as all the work for the term is available. I am not graduating until next year, but I know I made the Right choice!

Simmons University offers an excellent education. The staff and professors have been wonderful and very accommodating. I feel prepared to go into my clinical site next week. The staff was able to find a site for me very close to my house at a great location.

This college holds their students to high standards, I have met some incredible peers to help me get through classes. Unfortunately this school does not believe in lecture based courses by the professors, instead they have the students teach each other. Hopefully they rethink their teaching platform.

Simmons is a very rigorous program that offers top of the line technology. I like how the NP program is a distance program where you take classes live online with your professor and fellow classmates. Simmons also have a clinical placement team that will find your preceptor. My advisor found a clinical placement in less than 2 weeks. We also have immersion where we check off assessments, learn to suture, and finally meet our classmates.

Loved the online program. Allowed me to stay local and learn from a great platform. The fact that all students are from various locations enriched my exposure and added so much to conversations and future practices. Student support was always available if any questions. Instructors were knowledgeable and held us to a very high standard. Which will help when acing board exams!

The program does ensure that you know how to perform a head to toe assessment and determine differential diagnoses. It is a self driven program though. You will have to study on your own a lot. You will pass the boards based on the board pass rate. If you can self start it is a great program.

I picked Simmons University because of the blending learning style. I enjoy the interaction with other nurses across the United States. I enjoyed the immersion weekend and suturing lab so I could be well prepared for my clinicals. I'm seriously considering my DNP after this weekend.

I’ve really enjoyed attending Simmons university. I’m an online student, and how the program classes are set up is phenomenal. You do get the “in person” feeling/experience even though you are attending online. I also had to drop down to part time and take a leave of absence (maternity leave) after my second child was born, and my student advisor was amazing to work with. She made the process smooth and seamless.
