"Skidmore was a great place to get an education. Wonderful and beautiful campus, high-quality professors, and a lot of flexibility. Great dorms, great food, great town. The price is outrageous for a bachelor's degree, but the high-end quality of the campus and the surrounding area is certainly costly. Great diversity in terms of personality type - students are athletes, artists, business majors and philosophy majors."

"Skidmore offered a quality liberal arts education. Professors are wildly knowledgeable and are committed to individualized learning, attention, and growth. The most beneficial aspect of my time in college was the relationships I created with mentors and the opportunities for internships, work, and recommendations."

"The faculty in the Economics Department was incredibly knowledgable; they truly transformed my education. Skidmore is a welcoming college and provides unique opportunities, such as study abroad, which I was able to do for two semesters - one in London and one in Buenos Aires. Saratoga Springs, NY is a great college town; studying at Skidmore was a fun and unique experience."

"Skidmore College is a remarkable school where creativity is encouraged and respected in and outside of the classroom. You will find a mixture of students with diverse interests and professors that truly care about your success. Skidmore may need a more exciting campus life but the quality of education is excellent. The support services are great and the town of Saratoga Springs is a delight."

"Skidmore is a great school. It's in a beautiful part of upstate New York. The campus is gorgeous. Its a very small school. Classes are very intimate. All of my professors were great. The facilities were awesome. It was not extremely diverse. Most students were from the northeast."

"I had a good educational experience at Skidmore College. The classes were rigorous, and the professors engaging and personable. I made use of their office hours which I found very helpful. Class sizes were small and a great effort was made to have students interact with one another in groups. There were many clubs to take advantage of on campus which made it easy to determine ones own social experience outside of school. The campus is beautiful and the dining hall is great (unusual for a cafeteria)!"

"Skidmore is a fabulous college. They have a variety of very strong majors including art, business, english, music, sciences, history. You can really study almost anything there. The Skidmore community is very much like a family and the campus is gorgeous. It is also located in the heart of Saratoga Springs which is a beautiful and fun place to live."

"Skidmore was a great place to go to school. It's in a beautiful community (Saratoga Springs, NY) that has a great atmosphere but which is also fairly close (3 hour drive) from Boston, New York City, and Montreal. The professors are great and the class sizes are small enough that you feel you are being attended to on a personal level. The renovated dining hall is amazing and the dorms are spacious and clean. I feel I got a first-rate education and I often think back fondly at my time there."

"This school could not have friendlier staff and faculty, pretty much across the board. The campus is beautiful and Saratoga is a wonderful town to explore. Unfortunately, the student body, I found, does not fit up to this standard as a whole. The only major social scenes available are sports or way-too-hip-for-you. But if you tend to think outside of these boxes, you may feel out of place."

"Beautiful campus, great small city, wonderful housing & dorms, students a bit cliquey, expensive."

"Skidmore is an excellent school for someone looking to take classes across many disciplines. I got to experience science, math, dance, language, music and anthropology at the college level. It was very enriching in that way. The new dining hall they built around 2008 is amazing. The college also takes lots of great sustainability initiatives. Socially, I often felt that clubs were exclusive and it was hard to be a floater."

"Great campus, great surrounding town, great atmosphere on campus (eclectic mix of students, lots of campus groups, work study opportunities, etc.). I'm very happy that this is the college I chose."

"Skidmore is great if you view college as a place to develop how you think, how to ask good questions, how to understand yourself and the world around you, and how to generally overall be a good citizen and human being. You are allowed to be the person you are at the moment, even if that changes, but you are definitely challenged to define yourself and your worldview. If you're looking for a fast-track to a job or a giant-lecture-hall in-and-out sort of college experience, this is probably not the place for you."
