"So far, with the two classes I've taken at SMU in the Manufacturing Systems Management Masters program, I'm quite pleased with the quality of the education I'm receiving and the real-life, applied experience of the professors."

"I think in terms of pros the program is Excellent! SMU Cox School of Business is rated #3 for EMBA programs from Bloomberg Businessweek. The school has an impeccable reputation and networking. It is affiliated with corporations that make an impact in the program and the university as a whole by giving back through mentor-ship, lectures, opportunities etc. I think the con is simply affordability. The program is expensive but I do think it is an investment and very worthwhile to pursue."

"Life balance is one of the biggest challenge of graduate school. However, the knowledge, life experience and the doors that a graduate program can open it is all worthy."

"Great regional law school for those that want to work in Texas. Good alumni network and grad base (and solid reputation) in the DFW area. Currently the only law school in Dallas, which helps in finding jobs, although competition is increasing from outside schools. Expensive, but do give a good number of scholarships."

"SMU is an excellent and growing university. In particular, Economics is a competitive school. Its faculty is accessible and for an student is almost personalized, since the Department is no so big. The negative part of this is that there is no a big variety in the courses offered, but the available are quite good. You have the option of doing independent study, in case you are not interested in some of the offered courses. This is an excellent tool to go forward in your research, in case you have decided in what field you want to work on. I am so happy in SMU."

"Expansive, successful alumni network in the Dallas area. Great faculty and staff, wonderful library, and one of the top ranked college campuses in the nation. Only downside is price of attendance, which can be offset with financial aid and competitive scholarships."

"I feel that the biggest benefit to my graduate program is the level of support from the administration. There is truly an environment of encouragement and understanding for such a competitive and challenging program. While the work load can be overwhelming at times, SMU has created a wonderful evening programs for individuals, like myself, who have been or are currently in the professional world, and/or have family obligations, but still wish to pursue a law degree. I am so thankful that I have been given the opportunity to attend Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University!"

"Southern Methodist University - Meadows school of the Arts is a Top 20 Music School who has had as many students earn professional orchestral performing positions as Yale. Nestled in a booming professional city such as Dallas, Texas students take privately from principle Players of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The con about the SMU graduate music program is that students are so well coached that some get professional positions with orchestras and do not finish their degrees. I give SMU's Graduate Music program 10 stars"

"SMU is a wonderful program for the artist that knows what they want in their career. The smallness of the school combined with the stellar faculty and good financial resources allows students to have many opportunities that further their career goals. There are disadvantages to the smallness though, such as the limited range of other grad students in the program, along with a range of ability and talent levels. Overall, the program has much to offer for students who are enterprising and who endeavor to take full advantage of the resources and opportunities."

"Living the the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I was looking for an MBA program that is challenging, flexible, and would result in the upward mobility I was looking for. My options were: SMU, UT Austin (DFW PMBA), Baylor (DFW EMBA), UT Dallas, and TCU. Based on networking and quality of education, I narrowed my choices down to to SMU and UT Austin. The deciding factor was the flexibilty of the SMU program - ability to pick a concentration and classes (instead of a rigid schedule), classes 2 evenings per week (instead of Friday evening and all day Saturday), and the ability to take advantage of on-campus resources."

"I am currently studying software engineering after a break of 5 years . Till now i took the 3 courses and now in summer taking 2 . I acquired so much in-depth knowledge of sunbjects. Professors are very helpful .Most professors have studied from Harvard , MIT , Purdue. In SMU we have career center to get help in jobs. They organize lots of job fair with all big companies. Majoe Cons of SMU is they dont have scholarships for international students,"
