First, let's address the elephant in the room... I see a few low-star reviews. Unfortunately, your education will only be as good as the effort you put into it. If you see an assignment and only do the bare minimum to get the grade, that's what you will have. You must be a self-starter and study the material to grasp the information thoroughly. The assignment gives you a great starting point, but a learner should go further and learn until they know what they want. Second, my experience was great.... Read More

I felt compelled to defend SNHU after reading some of these bad reviews. I honestly cannot base my review off anything with the finance department because I have been paying out of pocket since I began attending. Now, I'm in my early 30s and work in IT, but finishing my BA in Psychology. The adminissions department made the process so easy for me. They actually reached out on my behalf to a community college I attended that I couldn't even get ahold of to transfer any credits. Because of my military... Read More

I am an adult learner that returned to complete my degree. I was so impressed by the education level of the professors. I had numerous outstanding professors that worked hard to make sure we were engaged as online learners. I loved the format of 8 weeks for each class. Each class followed a similar format of milestones to be met over the span of 8 weeks. If you followed the directives it was easy to plan out the work needed to get the projects done. I learned a great deal and enjoyed the process.... Read More

I am currently finishing up my last test at SNHU. I have read so many bad reviews here and it is totally not my experience. I used VA benefits which meant 0 out of pocket expenses for me. All the advisers are great but you half to communicate with them if you need help. The tutoring services are helpful but you half to communicate your specific needs to them. The instructors are a mixed bag from great to terrible but that is with any college or university. The courses themselves are easy to navigate... Read More

I will first start by saying when I signed up I had high hopes and every intention of putting all that I could into graduating. I am a mother of 3 and worked full time, however my son ended up having issues and needing surgery and so many things started happening in my life which is completely my fault but I still felt that I could do this and I tried but I am not the greatest with technology, I am not terrible by any means but I found their system was very confusing but the online books became my... I have been attending SNHU since January 2021 and I absolutely love it. While getting my associates degree through my community college, I received no support from the school. At SNHU my counselor registers my classes for me, checks in with me once a semester, and is always there to answer my questions. I enjoy the class content and I have had a few tough professors. Honestly, taking classes online is what YOU make of it. You can either do enough to get a passing grade, or take it further. Also,... Read More

I believe I was treated differently based off race. My psychology teacher was a white woman and every assignment I submitted she gave me less 50%. I graduated in honors English and also never had a problem with my writings in my other university. I contacted my academic advisor she did nothing I disputed my grades NOTHING they will always side with the professor do not waste your time or good money going here.

When I first started with SNHU it was great, everyone seemed so nice and helpful. As the semesters went on,I noticed that the helpful support and quality course materials had started to dissipate. The majority of the office staff at SNHU appear to be air headed students with no experience in customer service. Im seriously considering leaving this institution, if you file a dispute they will never side with the student. They act as if their professors can do no wrong, but their not even real professors.... Proceed with caution. I was excited to attend Southern New Hampshire. I was supposed to graduate this year and instead my life was turned upside down and I was left with a balance over $8,000. During COVID my State which is Michigan was on a strict stay at home order. Around that time the Department of Education requested a notarized Statement of Identification form which I could not provide, being that everything including the courthouse was closed. This resulted in my money being sent back and... Read More

SNHU is great. I learned a lot. I had great instructors and a great academic advisor. If there are people who say it’s easy, they are probably taking easy classes. I have learned more here than I ever did in the UW system and that’s saying a lot(well besides a few classes I loved at UW) Thank you SNHU

I just graduated from this school with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I had an awesome experience with this school and considering returning for my Masters. Every employer I applied to accepts my degree, which SNHU is a non profit that has been around for years. I had three advisors during my time with the school and they really went to the bat for me. My career advisor gave me a lot of awesome tips and tricks for applying for jobs and fixing up my resume and Linked profile. I enjoyed my courses.... Read More

I am transfer student and a senior at SNHU with 8 course remaining before graduation. I am amazed at the bold lies I have read here about SNHU. I feel the need to address some falsehoods before I even begin a review of my own: The school is regionally accredited - nationally recognized as the highest level of accreditation and is enjoyed both by State Universities and high caliber private educational institutions. SNHU is a private, nonprofit university. It is not a diploma mill. Many reviewers seemed... Read More

Reading all these bad reviews I have a feel we talk about different schools. I never experienced any issues with financial services or advisers. Some professors ( with PhD) were not professional. The only complain I have is that they don't care about their reputation. They accept low intellect people who can't make it thru and then blame school. THEY SHOULD STOP ACCEPT JUST ANYONE AND RUIN REPUTATION. They also have to record some lectures and update their curriculum more often. This school is like... Read More

I wish I would of read reviewed before trying to go to this school. I’m not exactly enrolled in January classes yet, but I already have a bad feeling about them. These “peppy” chicks that “help” you enroll never answer or return emails. They really do o my seem to be focused on money. I’m just trying to finish a degree that I already started and then I will break away from this school.

I loved going to this school! I went on-campus and it was lovely. The campus is beautiful and the buildings are all being re-done. There is tons of grass space where you're able to hang out, play games, study, have lunch, etc. The library is the most beautiful building. It's huge and offers many different private rooms for you to study, meet with groups for class, or get work done. The professors are invested and truly care about their students. They're always willing to meet with you before or after... Read More

I am currently attending SNHU, I have one word, RUN! This school is way too expensive. I have been attending for 2 years and they charge way too much for tuition. The instructors really don't care about the students, they don't engage, they rely solely on the rubric and are bad at helping with extra questions you may have. The past 4 terms we're a majority of learning how to find proper sources and they test you on your sources. So far after taking so many classes I can officially say I don't know... Read More

I was very excited to begin my bachelors in psychology and my advisor was very helpful setting up my classes and being interactive with me; emailing and calling me to check in. This was my first time attending an online school and the online classroom was relatively simple. It was also convenient to attend fully online. The online library was very extensive and useful for the assignments that were required of me. The writing center was not the most helpful; when I turned in a paper for help and feedback,... This University prides itself on helping less privileged students attain a degree, but falls very short on actually having nondiscriminatory behavior. SNHU did nothing when I was discriminated for my background by a professor, criticized constantly with overloaded feedback by the professor, antagonized weeks later by the same professor for previous shortcomings. There is no real support for students being discriminated, as the inexperienced "Academic Advisors" are truly 25-year-old empty-headed pampered... Read More

I had a great experience with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) online. From the very start of the enrollment process with my academic advisors to the exceptional professors who taught my classes. When I had questions or need assistance, they were there the entire way. The only reason I transferred to a different University was because they did not have a Master program for my chosen field of study.

I feel they could have done a better job preparing me for the psychology feild and assisted in finding me a job within the field of psychology. Instead I was told to pursue a master's degree in hopes of it opening doors. However, I was left with a mountain of debt instead of getting into the psychology field upon graduating.
