I love this new online college- If you are online and dissatisfied- look around! I was drowning at the old one- bored and miserable- the people- including professors-were only going for a piece of paper or paycheck. I just assumed online was like that everywhere! Not so! My new college has forums for each major and most students are really engaging in the DB's! The professor I have currently is actually READING our work and giving REAL feedback- after three years of misery, I am finally excited to do my work. I hope that this helps others who are one the other end of a computer staring numbly at there classes and counting them down! There is hope out there- look around! Thank you SNHU

Degree: Psychology, Other
Graduation Year: 2015

Like several other reviewers, I've attended a number of Online Universities since 2006. I earned my AA at UOPX and my BA at Ashford. Spent some time at Northcentral and Purdue working on my masters. Hands down SNHU is the best! Challenging. Relevant. Engaged instructors. Helpful staff. I worked in a remote village in India during the Winter 2014 term. The technology folks were fantastic especially considering we could only communicate using chat mode.

Degree: Information Systems
Graduation Year: 2015

I had done a lot of research prior to selecting SNHU. In the end, I am very happy with the choice I made. SNHU was extremely helpful from the get-go, and not pushy in getting me to enroll. I had several credits transfer from a local technical college, which I was happy with. My advisor is really helpful, and the instructors have been great. There are some tough courses and it does take some self-motivation to stay active in your coursework, but that is true for any school. I have recommended SNHU to several friends and colleagues. Also, I am not in the military, but I know that several classmates have made mention to how SNHU is very military-friendly school. If you lead a busy life like I do and are looking to squeeze in a degree, SNHU is a good fit.

I called SNHU because their commercial actually sounded like they wanted to help. I currently have 56shrs from my previous accredited university. I currently do not have the time to attend a regular classroom environment cause of work. SNHU told me they could only take 30shrs and the others I would have to redo through SNHU. Helping the military or looking out for your needs is BS!

Degree: Accounting

SNHU is an excellent program to be able to do at home, online. It is some of the best classes I have taken, alongside with some of the most difficult. The instruction and interaction is much better than some of the online programs I have done.

I loved that I could work on the assignments for each week on my own time! The instructors got an answer back to your questions quickly and many of the instructors led more than 1 course so you didn't have to learn how they grade assignments for every single class.

Degree: Child Development
Graduation Year: 2016

I am currently enrolled in my second class towards a Masters in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology. I have to say I am extremely impressed with the quality of instructor. My current professor has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and works as a psychologist at Columbia. She has been phenomenal and responds quickly if you have questions/concerns. I have never had an adviser call to simply check up on me to see how I was doing in my undergrad. Prepare to have it done if you attend SNHU. My adviser calls me two to three times in one term to see how my classes are and to see if I needed anything. Simply doing this makes me feel I picked the right college. I have also recruited people from my job, and they have also told me of the amazing professors they have had. I say if you are thinking of coming to SNHU, just do it.

Degree: Psychology, General
Graduation Year: 2014

I am 3 terms away from my BA in Psychology. I have attended several other schools after high school, as its taken about 12 years to complete my degree. I find the professors to all be very knowledgeable in their field and can give real world advice/information in most cases. Most of the professors have their doctorate, some are finishing it up. I've had a couple issues come up and after emailing the professor it was easily resolved. They are caring. I have had one advisor change, but that was because I needed a military advisor not just a general one. Anytime I have questions or need help with enrolling or choosing classes she is more than helpful. She has called to check on me, emailed to follow up when I was sick to see if was better, to make sure I got connected to the person I needed that she gave the information for and more. I've never had an issue with her! I've had good luck with financial aid and never a lag or anything on it either. I have recommended this school to others, and I will continue to do so. I enjoy the set up of the classes and how easy it is to see what I need to do and turn in. I've learned quite a bit already, and much that can be related to everyday as well. I've never once felt like a number, but an actual person to them. Call them and check them out.

Degree: Management

I had to write a review because of the one star review which I thought was unfair. I have been around the proverbial block with online schools. I have audited or enrolled and withdrew within the refund period of about seven online schools and have attended my local university in a traditional setting. I have found the staff at SNHU to be the absolute best when it comes to dealing with the students. All of my academic advisors have been spot on and caring and have gone out of their way to answer any questions I may have about my program. The Financial Aid department is knowledgeable and answers inquiries quickly. The quality of my classes are good and I feel that I am getting a lot out of my education, especially given the very reasonable non-profit pricing. I have recommended the school to friends and family and the couple of them that have enrolled are also extremely pleased. Sure, I have had a couple professors that weren't great, but what school doesn't have those? For the most part my professors have been world-class, knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions and help. I'm glad I enrolled here and if I were you, quit window shopping for schools and call SNHU.

Degree: Healthcare Management

Last year (2012), I completed my studies at Rasmussen college as a Pharmacy Technician. I transferred from that school because an overwhelming majority of interactions that I had with the school staff, were rude and snobbish. I am respectful myself, not to come from that place. I chose SNHU as the college I wanted to continue my education in the healthcare industry. In two years, after I complete my B.S., I plan to continue on with my academia, and pursue my Masters.
