"I think it’s important for incoming student to the MSN program know that because of how the school treats student and preceptors… instituting and changing rules retrospectively, they’ve alienated many preceptors. Students are responsible for finding and securing their own preceptors for their clinicals. This is a difficult task as it is. But when the admin starts taking away student hours and making providers donate extra time because the program wasn’t clear in its requirements… those preceptors either bail on the clinical, leaving the student high and dry mid semester or they refuse to take on anymore SAU students. The classes themselves aren’t bad, if you are motivated to learn. Many student exert little effort and get passed along to the next class because they only make money if student are paying classes. Unfortunately the school has alienated providers and who then blacklist SAU from working with their providers. Be warned if you are in a nurse practitioner program you may not find any preceptors for your clinicals because of how the school treats them."

"SAU offered small class sizes with a flexible schedule…I was in class only one night a week and was able to maintain my full-time job. They have excellent teachers who make themselves available to help students succeed! An amazing experience! My income has almost doubled since getting my degree! Definitely worth the time and effort!"

"Spring Arbor University is a wonderful school where I received a excellent education that has allowed me to make a difference in the lives of others. My instructors were great, not only were they well educated, they worked in the field and were always there when you needed help or had a question. I believe the instructors honestly cared."

"I attended Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor Michigan from 2000 to 2004. It is a small school with about 1000 students at the time I attended. It is a faith-based institution where I got a great education and grew some wonderful friendships. I could also be challenged within my beliefs. The friendships I cultivated still last until today. I began as a simple, naive freshman who did not know what I believed. Through my time there, was able to come into my own as a person. I began to study and learn not only about the fields of Education and English, but about faith and humanity. I was involved in a mentoring program, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and through that was able to be a part of the community around me. I began to spread my wings and get involved in school activities on campus such as Intramural sports. I also began to get involved in off campus activities such as mentoring and running an after school program at the local elementary school. I was a Resident Assistant my junior year and was able to help girls younger then myself adjust to college life. At Spring Arbor, I was also able to travel abroad to England, Scotland and Wales. There I not only learned about the community around me, but about the world around me. Spring Arbor helped me have the confidence to reach out to the community around me, but they also helped me in finding out who I am on a deeper and more personal level. I learned to be passionate about helping and teaching others in my community and throughout the world. My time at Spring Arbor was invaluable."

"I attended Spring Arbor University-Flint campus because it is a satellite location, small class size and evening classes one day a week. This was a great asset to me due to my work schedule. During tax season( i own my own business) I was able to manage homework, papers and test without attending class every day. My class met on Monday nights from 6p to 10p, which left the rest of the week to study and do home-work. My greatest love of this program was the deletion of the writing of a thesis, yes no thesis to write !"

"This was a great university for the working individual. I was able to work 40+ hours a week as well as obtain my degree with a class or two at a time two nights a week. There were many real life examples and instructors that worked in the field that I was studying."

"I loved the flexibility on times of the classes. I took mostly classes at day while I worked in the day. I loved the small class sizes. All my classes had under 20 students per class. It was a great experience."

"The professors are always available to help you if you need it and so is the guidance counselor. No one there is ever to busy to talk to you or help you out. It is very expensive and makes it financially challenging. There is so much diversity that it is awesome. So grateful that I picked this college."

"I chose my graduate program specifically because the way the program is set up for working adults. I am on an off cite campus with a cohort set up and we only meet one day a week. The program is set at an advanced, accelerated rate so it is extremely challenging."

"Well worth exploring for anyone who wants to pursue a masters in counseling. This is a Christian based school, although I give the school full credit for not pushing their beliefs on others. Even if you are not Christian or share these beliefs, in order to be a successful counselor; a person should at least be interested in what this all means to those they counsel. Great program, highly recommend."

"Spring Arbor is a great school and I have had a great experience there so far. The staff is always helpful and the professors are great. They are very knowledgeable and still work in their fields, which provides a great perspective for their classes. The class sizes are small and very interactive which makes learning much easier."

"The Christian foundation for the program is wonderful for a teacher who is a Christian. The classroom discussions focus a lot on the student as a person as well as discussing good strategies, policies, etc."
