"I am scared to death after reading these reviews. I previously attended another online college and earned my degree. I never had a problem with financial aid. I went on the FAFSA site and did a correction to my 2019 FAFSA and added Strayer University to it. I didn't change anything else. My income was already on there so again, I changed nothing else. I waited about two days and recurved an email that my FAFSA was processed and it was sent to my chosen school. To me that means it was approved for X amount so I didn't think much of it until financial aid started text messaging me saying I was selected for verification for 2017. It is almost 2020 and I don't see what 2017 has to do with right now. Literally nothing has changed since 2016 as far as my income. All that happened was me switching schools. I emailed my 2017 tax return to financial aid and I get a text that says they need my transcript and I have to fax it. So I ordered the transcript and after that I decided to look at reviews and see if anybody else had this issue. So many of you have the same problem and now I am freaking out that they are going to keep dragging it out and put me in the hole thousands of dollars. I am not a bitter, disgruntled student with poor grades. I had a 3.8 for two years at my previous school. I am scared of being screwed over. I really feel that before u should be able to order books, get a laptop, or even start classes, that the financial aid situation should be handled. My previous college never put money on my bookstore account until after I signed my award letter. This review is only in regards to financial aid. I have not yet started yet, and may not even attend."

"The Accounting program at Strayer University is absolutely amazing. The instructors are always there to help in any possible way. Strayer has many programs available to help with tutoring. They provide you with a Student Success Coach to help keep you on track and to help keep you motivated. I have never attended a school that has been so interested in the success of their students. I would recommend this school to anyone that is looking to further their education."

"Ask direct question to the persons with job titles that are educated and train to advise you on the right career path. Get an advisory report in writing. Know the requirements for the job yiu are seeking and if this institutions is excepted in your particular state. Otherwise they will take all of your FA and waist your time."

"Please learn from my mistake and my wasted time, money, and energy. At first the school seemed promising especially since the office was located close to my home. I already had my Associates and just wanted to finish my Bachelors degree with a possibility of obtaining my Masters. I attended Strayer for 2.5 years and during that time many counselors, admin and dean's changed positions, moved or went elsewhere causing the ability to contact someone almost impossible. At first the systems being used were okay than last Spring they "Updated and Upgraded" causing a lot of problem and also losing some studying and practicing assistance. When asked they would look into it but ultimately they put the blame on the system company. Due to this loss I needed some tutoring and per agreements I was allowed free tutoring. When I asked about it they didn't have tutoring for the classes I was taking and to contact elsewhere. Next when I asked the controller at my work (studying accounting) she could not understand the questions or on other questions why they were giving problems unrelated to the field and not used in the field of study. Finally after withdrawing my course in the fall due to not able to keep up without the assistance needed it took a year for them to suddenly charge me for withdrawing the courses without any explanation. When I withdrew I asked multiple questions and asked what to expect so I wasn't surprised later and even asked if I would owe Strayer, I was told no due to I withdrew after midterms. Please if you want to further your education look elsewhere Strayer is not the place to go."

"I liked the overall structure of the coursework because I was given the syllabus for the entire program which was 11 week blocks. Each semester lasted only 11 weeks, which gave lots of homework but the homework that was given was useful and applicable to real world application. I learned things that I could take with me to the job and use right away. I feel that more schools should do this because employers are looking for people who have the academic tools but also someone who can put those tools to good use."
